Ask me any questions you don't understand.

In short:

You have an HP number which varies depending on your ninja rank.
You roll a number of 20 sided dice which decides if you hit or not. The number of dice you roll depends on your ninja rank. The number you have to roll to hit with your attack depends on what rank your jutsu is.
Every jutsu has a jutsu rank which is either S, A, B, C, D, or E, E being the worst. You have to be a certain ninja rank to learn certain jutsu.
Your chakra is one with your HP. When you use a jutsu, you lose chakra/ HP. The number of HP you lose for using a jutsu depends on your jutsu's rank. The higher the Rank, the more chakra you lose, but also the more damage you do.

For exact numbers and a more lengthy description, see below.

~ The Basic Instructions ~

arrow Your Character has a health number.
arrow You roll a dice, a 20 sided dice. This helps you decied if you hit or miss.
arrow Each rank you gain, you can roll 1 more dice. Ex. Genin=1D, Chunnin=2D.
arrow Each level of technique has a miss and hit level. The more powerful it is, the less chance you get to hit.

You can dodge, hit, etc. if there is a good reason stated in text or profile for a technique to hit, or for you to dodge a certain technique.

Okay, the Basics are Done! Now onto the more advanced Rules!

~ The Dice Numbers & Ranks ~

Note: Die are only used to see if you hit or not.

Academy Student= 0, cant fight.

Genin= 1 20 sided Dice.

Chuunin= 2 20 sided Dice.

jounin= 3 20 sided dice.

Missing Nin= Varies, depending on how good they are, what skill level rank.

Sannin= ( 3 ) 4 20 sided Dice.

Kage= 5 20 sided dice.

Akatsuki= 6 20 sided Dice.

Now that you know the chance of hitting for the Ranks, you can find the percentages of actually hitting with the level of technique.

. ~ Hitting Rates ~

S= 80+ is a hit. Ex. An instant kill move. Very low chance of hitting. ( Kage Only )

A= 40+ is a Hit. Ex. Rasengan. ( Can learn if Jonin or Above )

B= 25+ is a hit. Ex. Dead Soul Technique (Can learn if Chuunin or Above)

C= 15+ to hit. Ex. Mass Shadow Clone Jutsu(Can learn if Chuunin or Above)

D= 10+ is a hit. Ex. Kunai, Kage Bunshin Clones. (Can learn if Genin or above)

E= 5+ is a hit. Clone Jutsu. (Can learn if Genin or above)

~ Health Numbers & Ranks ~

Genin= 200-250,Demons give + 50.

Chuunin= 300-350, Demon +50

Jounin= 400-450, Demon +50

Sannin= 500-550, Demons +50

Kage= 600-650, Demons +50

Akatsuki= 700-750, Demon +50

~Chakra~

As ninja use chakra in the Anime, they do in this guild, too. In this guild, chakra works like this:

arrow Chakra is one with your HP when you use it.
arrow Each Level of technique will cost a different amount of chakra to use.
arrow When you use chakra, the amount of chakra you use will come out of your HP.

For example, if you use Rasengan, ( an A- Rank Skill ) and say A rank skills used 100 chakra, and you had 500 HP. After the usage of the move, miss or hit, you will lose 100 HP and end up with 400 HP because A rank skills take that much chakra. A Rank skills do not actually take up that much chakra. Here are the technique levels and how much chakra/HP they need to use.

S Rank: 150 HP/Chakra to use.
A Rank: 50 HP/Chakra to use.
B Rank: 25 Chakra to use.
C Rank: 15 HP/ Chakra to use.
D Rank: 10 HP/ Chakra to use
E Rank: 10 HP/ Chakra to use.

There will soon be a list of all the jutsus and their ranks. It's pretty easily to tell the techniques ranks apart anyway, but just incase.
arrow A Character's HP will remain the same until they post at the inn or healing topic in their own village. ( Following the rules of RPing, your RPC can't be in two places the one time, so if you're in a battle no healing. )
Also, at the end of each post, write your HP at the bottom of your post. There will soon be an example of this in a sticky topic.

And that's it! The example comming tomorrow will be enough to make you guys understand it, but tell me what you think! Any ideas, comments, questions, etc. are appreciated!

Tips:
If you're new to the battle system, when in battles you can put up another window with the battle system topic up for extra help, instead of clicking back and forward all the time.

When in battles, you may want to read the opponents profile to find out extra tips about them.

Damages

Here is how much damage each rank Jutsu will do.

S Rank: 600
A Rank: 100
B: 75
C: 50
D: 25
E: 0

Note: If it is a clone attack, it does 0 damage, but helps you in various ways. ( negate attack, etc. )
If it is a defense attack, than the shield power of the shield is equivalent to the amount of attack power that it would have as an offences attack. Example: Sand Shield which is a C Rank technique, has 50 Defence power. This means that the next 50 damage that your character takes will be negated.


NOTE: Barriers usually work like this: Sometime before they do a Jutsu, you say '' * Does Handseals * than after they do a Jutsu, if it works, you say after that post '' Ex. Sand barrier! '' * barrier appears, blocking attack * ''

Yep. 3nodding There's a few reasons why I thought of making a battlle system:

1. It's different than the other RP guilds.
2. Completely gets rid of Godmodding.
3. It should be fun.
4. Adds more strategy, since you cant just keep living or use infinite jutsus in one battle.
5. Most people who join will be literate and dedicated. Most people who join RP guilds post like this '' helo how r u? '' But if there's a battle system most people who post like that don't bother to learn the battle system sweatdrop

kurtis3126 and I changed it around a little, it makes more sense now. Now the dice roll only effects if you hit or not, and the jutsu ranks are what effects the damage. Maybe in the future some time we can add effects to some of the jutsu that have effects in their description 3nodding
