Both girls sat there, notebooks in front of them, though the one with hair of a green blue tint had a dog next to her. Ellie sat there, ignoring the paper and pen she'd got out, and was instead gladly petting Angel, who had happily come along, and ran around like the excited puppy she was. Now though, like the women she sat with, she was wore out. To be completely honest, Ellie had tried to think of things that Bai might not have done. A cute gift was really the only one, and now more than ever Ellie felt like she was not near good enough for him. Thinking of her husband, Ellie started to hum softly, and she turned to Cass.
Yes, of course, Ellie felt a bit awkward there, sitting next to her best friend... But could never explain about what she'd seen. Only her and two others knew, and that would be how it should stay. Ellie would try to follow her friend in the ways of her thought... Ellie, as much as she tried, could never steer from the fact that she though about herself or Baizou first. Almost always herself, though. Cass always seemed to have the world on her mind, and more often, of other people... It was too unfair to force the worries of and about herself, if she more truly wished to keep her mind on the others she so loved. No, they could not tell Cassanova. It wasn't right.
"Hey, Cass?" Ellie called over to her friend, who sat, writing something calmly in front of her, eyes blissfully happy, like she'd been since she'd gotten engaged. Cass looked up, waiting for Ellie's explanation of pulling her from her diligent work. "Why don't you love Tomokazu? He's a sweet man. He'd give the world to you and I know he would." Ellie's question was greeted with a horror stricken face. If she'd expected anything, it had not been that question.

Looking up from the paper which only housed little more than a few doodles in the margins, Cass blinked a bit. What? Had she heard correctly? What Ellie had said was more than odd... Made no sense at all. And besides, where would someone like Ellie pull a question like that out of? She was a perfectly happily married woman who couldn't be happier. She of all people would have to understand being deeply in love with some one... And, then again.. Self doubt flooded Cass. Would being married make Ellie see things that Cass did not? Did it seem that she questioned her feelings?
"How do you mean?" asked the young adult, as she picked at the grass in a fidgeting way. Though, the look on Ellie's face let her know.. She meant no different than exactly what she had said. With a sigh from Cass, Ellie gave the most definite triumphant look for guessing that something among something was up. "I do love him." Gaining only a response of raised eyebrows from the girl opposite her, Cass rolled her eyes. "I don't want to... Go all forth, you know? I'm afraid to completely give away all of my heart. He doesn't have all of his heart to give away anymore. I know he'll love Kaia always and forever, the loyal b*****d. But, that's not the point."
Cass's calm rant had earned her giggles from Ellie, for both of them knew that only Cass could sound loving while saying things like 'b*****d'. Hands behind her, Cass sighed. What she had said was most definitely true. She did love him, and very much so. But, there was no way that, without feeling bad about him, or feeling that she might make him awkward that she could put all of herself forward. It was like making an argument over something that needn't be argued.

Baizou had heard the cheerful chatting and happy laughter from the back porch of the Muffin and had come to investigate on the lovely ladies. He stepped closer towards the garden, he suddenly blushed at the sound of his wife's voice, like a boy with a large crush on an extremely attractive girl. He cleared his throat and stepped forward. "May I interrupt this lovely conversation?" He asked, "And do not worry. I did not hear anything if this were meant to be private."

"Oh, no, come on in, then." Cass greeted calmly, as she crossed her legs, Angel's head in her lap. "Just a chat." With this, Cass gave a hopeful stare to Ellie, as if hoping that she'd not disclose too much. She'd always been a bit sticky around him ever since they argued about her leaving. "See, you've even got him hiding in bushes, now!" Cass teased, but laughed towards Bai, showing her joke. No doubt, her own love was inside manning down the hatch of the place.
"Cass is afraid to show she loves Tomo all the way!" Ellie exclaimed suddenly, as if Bai would have any better advice. Almost immediately after saying it, Ellie mouthed an apology to her friend, who only shrugged a bit. She stood up to hug her husband, standing on tip toe to kiss his chin. "She thinks that he can't love her with all of his heart, because of Kaia, and if she showed him that she loved him all the way, then he'd either get scared-"
"Or not feel good enough for me." Cass interrupted, with the tiniest hint of sarcasm in her voice to Ellie, who only blew a raspberry in response.

Baizou, being just as much Tomo's best friend as Ellie was Cass's, held his wife closely as he bent down to kiss her forehead, "Well," He began, taking Ellie's hands into his own, "I never knew anyone's heart to have a capacity. It is not like a water jug that can only hold so much love." He said, trying to put it into perspective. "Of course he loves Kaia. She was a fine woman." He murmured, smiling a little at the memory of his friend. He didn't get to really know her that well, but he always remembered kindness and an undying love for the blonde. "However I do not think he loves you any less than he loved her." He shrugged, "Who knows? He may find that he loves you a little more than he loved her."

"Nooo, Baaaai!" complained Cass, as she petted at Angel's head to distract herself from trying to explain her annoyances with teh situation. "If you say that it is like that, it seems that I have so much less love, because of how many people he loves. But, I love him for everything I have, and there's no one else for me. What would he do if Kaia were here though?" Ending her little rant, there was a silence, spare a chirping bug in a few bushes that rustled with the breeze.
Ellie blinked away a little bit of sadness for her friend, knowing that she'd feel awful if Tomo felt like Ellie did now. If... He felt not good enough for her, Cass would be devastated because he really was... All Ellie understood was that Cass couldn't show all of her love for him without being afraid. Their conversation had lead to earlier that Cass was almost a little bit sadder around him. The silver-haired neko was a naturally playful woman, but there was this odd perceptive err she figured she had that when she thought about Tomo, she thought sadness.

Baizou slowly sat down on the ground, and sighed, "It is difficult to think of love in sense of quantity. In my eyes, you either have love for something, or you do not. One can love something a little, or you can love something extremely. For instance, I love Ellie. I also love Angel." he said, pointing to both, "But I feel more love towards Ellie. It is not because I do not have enough love for Angel. I simply love her more than I love dogs." He explained, trying to show her how it worked in his mind. He blinked, realizing he was straying from the point. "I suppose what I am saying is that I would not worry about if you are showing Tomo enough love or if he has enough love for you. You two are loving each other as much as you two possibly can."

At this, Cass started to sob into her legs, which she'd drawn to her chest. She shook her head, crying, and wiped at her face. "But that's not true! I am not loving him as much as I possibly can, or am s howing that I do, because I hide some of it. And, he isn't..." pausing, she took a deep shuddering breath. "I can't say what he does and doesn't do, but... I dunno how it's possible to love me as much as he can, if he still loves Kaia so much..." Every time Cass thought about Kaia, she thought about Father's Day, and its tragedy, as Cass was still in fear of rejection and other things from that very day.
Ellie rubbed Bai's back, as she leaned against him when she sat, with a frown. "There's no way to be wrong or right about this. And, if there were away, I don't think you two could agree on it then." she said to him, while snuggling to him happily. "Angel is already getting bigger."

Baizou sighed and reached over to give Cass's shoulder a comforting squeeze. "Tomo is a mysterious person. I am an empath and even I find that I cannot read his emotions like I can other people. It is difficult to explain. When he does not want to be read it is like I am reading every emotion and no emotion at the same time..." He shook his head and leaned into Ellie gently. "Just... do not be so afraid. There is a lot more to Tomo than meets the eye. It is both an admirable and frustrating quality, but that is just one of those things that make him Tomo!" He explained. He suddenly felt a twang in his ducky sense and nuzzled Ellie's neck affectionately as he kissed the soft skin around her collarbone.

As much as Cass liked to think that her fiance felt more than what she could see, she also hoped that that was true. All she saw lately was a ... desire that she did not understand. Sometimes sadness, even. Nodding with a weak smile, she stood and strethced. "I'm going to to crash on a couch." she waved off to the couple, and headed into the Muffin.
"She's just nervous about getting married." Ellie said, as she blushed to her husband. "You are so silly..." cooed she, who nipped at his chin, and wrapped her arms around him comfortably. "How was your day?"

Baizou nodded, "That is understandable." He said, leaning back to stare at that stars for a few moments before turning his gaze to Ellie lovingly. "Tomo was afraid, this morning. He said he was worried that she only said yes because she knew he was under pressure." He explained, pulling his wife into his arms. "H-He also asked for my romancing secrets." He murmured, blushing.

"Well, of course he did." she replied, laughing softly. "You are perfect. And, he knows as well as Cass does that he envies you when it comes to romancin'." she teased, as she also lay against him just right, Angel next to them, to look up the stars happily. "Cass thinks he only asked because he was under pressure, which is true, though.... He would not have asked, if she had not mentioned seeing it."

((Oh and it's official. According to the progress of So Much for Suicide, Baizou gets his first kiss before Tomo.))
Baizou reached over to pet the dog. "Well, we all knew he was going to ask eventually. That is the reason he bought it in the first place." he mused, swaying his tail along the ground. "And I am not perfect!" He protested, sticking his tongue out. "We are perfect. There is no better match than the two of us. We are more awesome than peanut butter and jelly."

((I'm not quite sure, but I think that AIM is what keeps making my internet go all fuzzy. I had to restart again, and it is working fine now, for a bit.))
Ellie giggled at Baizou's expanation, and she sighed with a nod. "Okay, okay. We are perfect." with that, she tilted her head back upwards to kiss him again, before laying down across his lap and staring up into the bright clear sky. "What'd she mean, a couch? Doesn't she sleep with the boy? I mean- Not like... I meant, not in that way.."

Baizou laughed, "I knew what you meant, love." He said as he draped his arms around her as the dog licked and sniffed his knees and tail. He picked the fuzzy appendage in her mouth delicately and arranged it before laying down on it like a little bed. "If she does not, he will probably panic tomorrow morning. He already is in self doubt..." He shrugged, "Unless they already pre planned something." He shook his head, "Let us talk about a happy couple, ne? Your brother's wedding is on October 31st... Do they want us to dress in costume or formal wear?"
