I made this up for an Asian themed party I was having. It was a pretty big hit, so I thought I'd post it up. ^-^
Ingredients: 1 Package of Extra Firm Tofu 3/4 Cup of Soy Sauce 1 TBSP of Ground Ginger 1/2 TBSP of Minced Garlic 2 TSP of Black Pepper OPTIONAL: Green Onion
Materials: Bowl Fork Knife Casserole Dish
To start off, preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Drain the package of tofu and dry the block with paper towels. Slice the tofu block into two layers. Then, cut both pieces in half width wise. Cut those pieces into rectangles and set them in the casserole dish. (The dish should be big enough to fit all the pieces without overlapping, but not so there is tons of extra room.) In a bowl, mix the remaining ingredients (not including the green onion) together with a fork. Pour over the tofu. Place tofu in the oven and bake for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes in the oven, remove the dish and flip over each piece of tofu and bake another 15 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool for a few minutes.
Serve topped with green onions and white rice.
Makes approximately 20 pieces.

My store has a variety of stuff and I've never seen the tofu. Where in the store would I find it.

You'd most likely find it in a refrigerated section. In my store it's in two places (depending on the brand). There's one in the cheese/cold noodles place. The one I get is in the produce area. heart
