Reis, Dana, and I were discussing elementa and got into the theory of Quarter Circle which is what I refer to as Yin Yang Elementa. Which means you have all the flaws, and strengths of 4 elementa. Feel free to post your thoughts.

Do you mean 4 or 3? 3 I could understand cause my ice is mainly pure, though i still have water and wind qualities...

It depends on elementa. If your a pure it would be two elementa on different areas of the grid.

It's kinda like the Quarter Circle 'Runner' theory we had in the early days of the old Guild, but it is more comprehensive. It's the elementa you 'change' to when you feel insecure or vengeful. Like the world's been kicking you too long and you need to change in some way in order to make it stop.
I become Shade-ish and fairly malevolent, or at least I used to. I find it doesn't happen as often anymore, thank goodness.
To tell you the truth it used to end up scaring me more than the people I wanted to scare...

To be honest I feel wind ice is my neutral elementa. Im possibly a Shade when insecure or depressed. This leads to me being......pure evil!! Then when life treats me good I get sort of a passion for it like fire elementa.

When I first joined the old guild, I had a very difficult time trying to discover my own elementa because I seemed to possess most of the traits of a lot of different elementa. Lightning was the only one that I felt certain about, but trying to figure out my less dominate traits was a bit of an ordeal. sweatdrop
Going back and re-reading the information now, though, I see some things that I didn't see before. Or maybe I've just grown a bit. Originally, I identified myself as a Lightning-Fire. My Fire seems to have died down though and Heaven has come a bit more into play. When I was younger, I loved being alone but now I can't stand to just sit in the house without plans. Even when I run errands I'll go pick up a friend just because I don't want to go through all the stores alone. I've never been one to really talk about my feelings and how things affect me partly because I'm afraid of other's reactions, but also because I feel like I'm making myself vulnerable.
I feel like I'm starting to pull this thread off-topic now. Long story short: Even though Lightning and Heaven dominate, I still have a fair bit of Wind and Fire thrown in there as well.
This makes me wonder though, what about mutable elementa (i.e. different elementa ruling different portions of your life)? I know that we all tend to shift a bit from time to time, but I mean something major like the complete end to one elementa's presence and another coming in to "replace" it.

Hm... I find that I really stick mainly to Wind and Celestia. However, when I do ah... shift... I seem to skip ice and go straight to water. I rarely seem to be a precice sort of person. So if I could say I am Celestia Lightning Wind Water, I would feel that that fits.

Well, let's see... Mew's Ice-Water balanced and has a somewhat nuturing nature. Mainly going off element leads to Light - a sickening lot of it.
Because:
1) Ice seems to 'unemotional and uncaring'
2) too 'serious and boring'
3) too 'mean' and hard to get along with - and with my tactless, abrupt and forward water self, afraid people's wee little feewlings get hurt.
Mind you - I'm inlove with Light-Wind Elementals, but... Being light - yeck! It makes me smile and grin widely! Me hates it! Hurts my face... Prefers inward smirking and laughing. I'm THAT lazy. And being NICE to people... the only reason mew says "Good evening" and stuff to people is so that they know that RabbidSquirrel is there and WILL bite them if need be.
Mew loves being violent! (Swords!) But making for other people's sake with reverse that completely and so ... Light to a ridiculous extreme.
Guess Light was the Maniac part of mew Maniac Depression while Ice was the depressant part... Ponders...

One could say I used to believe I was a light elemental, but I never could do that very convincingly, I just used to try to act like pure water, not that I could do that very convincingly either.
I guess I could have run to fire, but I do naturally have a temper...it just wasn't really working out.

I agree with my brother on most counts, Shadeys aren't evil just demented and like to smash things. But violence isn't only a trait of our element.
I guess I could run ice but I could like never pull that off because well....they be cold and I'm far to emotional and babble a lot. And I'm also to vehement about a decision once I truly made it to ever try to run wind. I've just never been a very successful runner.
As for Dana and her habit of running to light... stare That's all I have to say about that. It's just really flipping annoying.

Running is a safety net really and by admiting who we are we have stopped running...maybe...sometimes. xp

hey shade is not evil, though i do get a kik out of making ppl squirm/pissed. and if i beat u i want to make sure its a real beat down of power. sweatdrop j/k not really, cuase i think what of what geren said is rt. i couldnt have explained it better myself. yeah i guess a mood swing or mood change might change your elemental personality. but i seem to be balanced on earth and shade most of the time, rarely if im bad mood i act icy

i dunno what i'd be based on this theory here. on the other one i'm a straight wind...with seemingly boundless energy, and a temper that can leave as quickly as it arrives.
