So, LS dous HNMs. Fine, w/e. But when I say I'm really not in the mood to go, I only logged on to do my daily assaults and check the AH and get off. But they're like
"come on!"
"Xotl(sp?) is about to pop, come to the zone now."
"Wheres your loyalty?"
The leader dousn't help. I tell him I really don't want to go on rdm cause it drives me nuts sometimes, and what dous he do? Forces me to go on rdm. It really ******** pisses me off and I want to quit the LS sometimes.
It's driven me to tears I'm so upset about it. Forced D/Ced myself a few times just to avoid it. I'm just burnt out of endgame right now. I told the leader at the start: "Don't expect me to come to HNMs."
And what do they do? Expect me to come. When I clearly stated I hated HNM mobs because my brother is in the rival LS of the entire server, and I do have loyaltys there because most of my freinds are in it as well as him.
I'm really quite upset about this and I really don't even want to play sometimes cause my LS is jackasses. I want to go to my brothers LS, the 2nd best on the server(First Best in JP), mostly since they get the HNM half the time.
I don't know why my current shell even goes there if my brothers shell is there, cause they are certain to get outclaimed. But really, I'm crying as I type this, because I really feel horrible to myself if I leave my current LS to go to another. Just...just hurts me.
But I do want to leave since half the members in my current shell piss me off.
And I'm unsure of what to do right now. emo

...I have nothing to do now. Wait, theres exping and crafting and all the other stuff I didn't have time for cause of endgame. I can even :gasp: get off and have a life!

If you don't feel comfortable to do, just don't do it...
My friend was forced by the leader to play his rdm as well, but he did followed only once then he permanently use his sam. (And the leader can do nothing about it, he said when he applied already that he won't use his rdm and they accept him to join)
The leader can't entiredly force the members, that's the fact...
It's true that HNMs are stressful and full of rivalry, but we can choose our own LS.
PS. Last night, a LS mate /t me and asked me to go to Faffy, I did go, but my LS lose claim to the bad LS again... (Plus that LS said they'll kill Faf fast enough to be chain#6 after the darters, s**t... I'm glad Faf knocked 4 out of 5 PLDs in that LS down so they can't do what they said...)

If you want to go be in your brothers ls, then go into it! FFXI is a game, you should enjoy it, not get frustrated.
I just tell people to blow it when I don't feel like coming lol. And I get asked a lot cause of my WHM.

you should not be in an endgame ls that does hnms if you are not interested in hnms. there are plenty of ls's out there that only do dynamis and limbus. find one of those. if you want to be in an HNMLS.. then HELP them do HNMS. you can't expect them to help you if you don't help them. a lot of people in HNMLSs don't care much about dynamis/limbus items and just want the really rare abjurations. if you don't help them get their abjurations do you think they will feel right about helping/giving you items from limbus/dynamis? it's like you are only attending half of the events, just the ones you pick and choose to go to. you are not giving the LS your 100% like many other members would be. so you should be in the back of the line for items if you choose to stay. again, my advice to you is to find a new ls that just does dynamis/limbus and no HNMs. trust me, there are LOTS of those types of LS's out there. and you will be a lot more happy because you will only have to devote 1-3hrs a day to the ls and can spend the rest of your time leveling or whatever.
Edit: is it just the job RDM that you hate playing? do you have another job leveled to 75 to use? if you want to stay in that ls, tough it out until you can level a new job to 75, then convert to that as your main and explain to them that you are burnt out by rdm.. sell your gear if you need/want to make sure they don't make you play it.

Or find a regular old little linkshell rofl , I had so much fun when the Tarutarunation started in the Bahamut server... too bad it ended after The tarutarunationevolution ; ;, there are other guilds besides HNM you know :p for example a fishing LS, you do not believe how many times I had just plain fun talking/leveling/fishing/crafting in that guild ; ; small ls but it was fun!
Then again you won't really get Dynamis/ Limbus/ HNM hunts often if you do choose these guilds, but hey i am all about fun when it comes to the game >.> not the rich valuableness :p.
