These snow-peak mountain ranges act as a natural barrier between this country and its neighbor to the north. Some of it trails into the Forest to the East and has been proven that was once an active volcano that has gone dorment for a long time. Although some of it has been mapped out and resorts and other recreational areas have been established, it still carries a mysterious feeling to it as well as rumors of hot springs that have healing properties...

((continued from Cliffside City thread))

Lonewolf and the mysterious purple haired woman found themselves in a dark chamber. The only light shining into the room came from a single window, which was half covered by someone's sillhouette.

"Pleased to meet you, sir Lonewolf." The woman in front of the window began, "I am Arianna, dark sorcereress of the night. I believe you have already met my twin sister...Elliana." She nodded at the purple haired woman, who smiled at Lone and nodded.

Lone didn't look amused, "Ya got the wrong Lonewolf, sister. The name's EVIL Lonewolf. I got rid of that pansy a few minutes ago in my mind. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a certain demon to kill." Lonewolf bowed mockingly then turned to leave. He was stopped suddenly as he felt his whole body get petrified. He looked back at Arianna with crazed, savage eyes that yearned for her blood.

The woman's golden tiarra was glowing now.

"So...my sources prove to be correct. The great 'Legendary Lonewolf' had, after all, lost all sanity and turned into a blood crazed maniac. How interesting." She smiled and giggled a little. Then suddenly became serious and pointed at a seat near Lone. "Sit." She demanded. Lone's body flew at the seat and was forcibly thrusted into it. A low growl can be heard from his throat as he looked at her with a menacing glare.

"There are some things you must learn about me, Lone. You see, you and I share the same power. I, too, have lived for longer then 600 years. In fact, I was also trained by the very same sorcerer who trained you." Lonewolf's menacing glare suddenly became shocked, "Locke?" He choked out. The woman nodded, "Yes. Locke trained me in the art of dark sorcery, just as he trained you. However, he never would've suspected me double-crossing him and painfully killing him with the very power he taught me to use." This piece of information stunned Lonewolf. "Yes, Lone. Your dear old teacher died by my hands and my hands alone. I suppose it's true what they said...he was, after all, just a bum."

These words fueled Lonewolf's rage. His eyes began to glow a deep red color. "Ya know...before I was just going to kill every demon in the world....but now I find myself wanting to take your life as well!!" He broke from Arianna's petrifying barrier suddenly and ran towards her as he summoned the Sword of the Fallen Devil. He slashed at her, only to see that his sword had no effect on her. She laughed lightly as her body began to glow with the same dark purple aura Lonewolf had.

"Fool. Have you not been listening to me? We share the same power, you and I. Your spells have no effect on me!" She smiled widely.

Lonewolf grunted in frustration, then returned her smile. "Perhaps. But maybe THIS will!!!" He suddenly drew his sawed off shotgun and blasted at her torso. Catching the woman off gaurd, Arianna winced as the large bullets pierced her body. Lonewolf smiled evily. Suddenly, the holes in the woman's body healed themselves. Lonewolf looked at the woman with a shocked expression. "What?! NO WAY!!!" The woman laughed as she waved her hand, causing the gun in Lonewolf's hand to fly into a wall and shatter into pieces. "Take him away." The woman demanded. Elliana, who was standing by the door the entire time, walked behind Lone. "Yes, sister." She casted her teleportation spell again. This time taking Lone and her to the castle dungeon.

"Enjoy your stay."

Elliana disappeared again, leaving Lonewolf to rot in the dungeon. "Hmph." Lonewolf scoffed as he walked over to a corner and sat up against the wall.

"Having a bit of trouble, are we?" The voice came from inside Lone's mind. It was his good side.

"Leave me alone, ya ******** pansy!"

"*sigh*....Look Evil. The only way we can overcome anything is by working together."

"No way! Nuh-uh! I'm not letting you seal me up in your heart again!"

"Fine. Get us killed. You fight like a raving lunatic."

"That's because I AM a raving lunatic ya ******** retard!"

"No kiddin. However, you don't have to be."

"What the hell are ya talkin about?"

"You heard what that b***h in there said. She killed our master, Locke. Don't you want your revenge?"

"...Yeah, but..."

"Not-to-mention, you saw how powerful she was!"

"So?"

"So...the only way we stand a chance against an enemy like that is by joing forces with each other! Even you know that."

"Hmph..."

"You can't have the ying without the yang, man...truce?"

"........fine. stare "

Lonewolf's body began to convulse violently as the forces of his good side fused back with the forces of his bad side. Lonewolf fell unconcious for a few hours, but then awoke renewed.

"What..? What happened..? Last thing I remember is Locke getting poisoned by that damned demon! Where am I?" Lonewolf looked at his surroundings with fear in his eyes. "Hey!" He shaked at the bars on the door. "Who the hell put me in here?! Get me outta here!!"

Back in the throne room

Arianna gazed into her crystal ball with amusement.

"Truly a fascinating specimen, indeed." She mused silently. "He actually managed to regain his sanity all by himself by self-consciously rebooting his mind and wiping out his own memory. Such an amazing mind this man has. He is truly worthy of the title: 'Legendary'." The woman summoned her sister up to her throne room. "Elliana, come up here at once."

A few moments later, Elliana entered the chamber. "Yes, mistress?

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

"Lure the older dragoons to this castle so that I may...play...with them. Also, get a hold of Kain. I have an assignment for him as well."

Elliana bowed respectfully, "Right away mistress." She teleported away.

Arianna leaned back in her seat as she smiled to herself. Soon, the powers of the dragoons of legend shall be hers. After ridding of the entire pirate population and letting the government take all the credit, she grew more and more ambitious. She then found out about a magical tiarra that grants the wearer eternal life. However, she knew now, that if she were to remove the tiarra, she would transform into dust, for after 600 years, she should be. As for her twin sister, Elliana...alas, that is not her REAL sister. For her real sister was abducted by pirates as a child and used as a rape object for the crewmates until she died. No...not her real sister at all...but a clone, magically created by her powers. Created to be just as evil and underhanded as herself. Such a brilliant creation, she was. Arianna smiled again, then closed her eyes. She will have her nap before the dragoons arrive.

Hours later, a man stepped into the throne room. He bowed his head respectfully at Arianna, who still had her eyes closed and rested her cheek upon her fist.

"You seek an audience with me, mistress?" Asked the man with the strange mask. Arianna opened her eyes...

"Kain..." Her voice was emotionless. "I have sensed great power from entities other then the dragoons of old."

Kain seemed slightly surprised at this and tilted his head to the side, "Other then then the dragoons? Are you sure of this?" Arianna looked angry, "Ofcourse I am sure! My crystal ball sees all!" Kain stepped back a step in fear, for he knew that few who have ever crossed Arianna have lived to tell about it. "My apologies, mistress. It was foolish of me to..."

"Yes it was quite foolish of you, Kain. However, since your talents are needed at the moment, I will spare your life...for now."

Kain sighed in relief.

"Now...as I was saying: These 'entities' who harness this power are the children who have been hanging around Leon and his pet dragon, Shadow." Kain almost scoffed at the thought of children being as powerful as the legendary dragoons, but held his tongue. "Ofcourse..." Arianna continued, "Their powers have not been awakened yet, which gives us an advantage." Arianna stood up from her seat and paced across the room. "That is where you come in, Kain. I need you to keep these children...busy. Lure them away from Leon and his pet while Elliana steps in and lures Leon and Shadow, along with that savage beast Inferno, to me. Once they are all here in my lair, you may dispose of the children in any manner you see fit." Kain smiled at that last comment. Arianna didn't seem amused. "Begone." She waved her hand in Kain's general direction without even looking back at him.

Kain bowed his head respectfully once more, then turned and left the room.

Deep in the castle's dungeon

Lonewolf sat with his back against the wall. He had given up trying to get out. The entire room was sealed with an anti-magic spell. He was completely helpless and all he can do is wait. He had no idea as to why he was in there in the first place and yearned for some answers. He shivered a little as the icy wind of the evening swooped into the dank, rocky dungeon from a small barred up window that reached to around his shoulders if standing up straight.

"Stephanie..." He whispered. Wanting to hear the sweet voice of his former living lover in his head again. Giving him answers...guiding him...oh, how he missed the arguments she and Lone had. She was always right, ofcourse, but Lone was always far too stubborn to admit defeat. He thought about how much of a cynical jerk he has been for all these years. Haj's words flashed through his memory:

"And to think that this was once the proud leader of a guild, a guild that helped him defeat demons from his own past. What a shame it is to know that he has fallen from such grace.....I am ashamed to even admit I fought alongside you once..."

This was followed by the memory of Lion's words:

"Compassion...that was what drove us all back then."

This was immediately followed by the words of his old teacher and friend, Locke:

"You're just too busy sitting around, feeling sorry for yourself, instead of picking yourself back up and making things better for yourself."

"How selfish I have been..." Said Lonewolf aloud. Hajimate...Lonewolf rubbed the fabric of the red cape he wore between his fingertips and thumb. He has been wondering why he was wearing Haj's cape...and why it wreaks of blood. Lion and Locke were both right. Compassion...it has been so long since Lone has felt that emotion. He was too busy feeling sorry for himself that he had lost everyone close to him. Violet was missing, his faithful pet wolf was poisoned, Stephanie left his spirit, Lion is disgusted by him and Hajimate is possibly dead. All of this because Lonewolf hated himself and the human race. He looked down at the ground.

Not ALL humans are bad....think of the children....the dedicated women who tend to their gardens every morning...the innocent people of the world.

Lonewolf thought about all this, convincing himself. He began to stand up off the ground, "I am the Legendary Lonewolf!" He puffed out his chest proudly. Though he felt somewhat silly holding himself with such high esteem amidst the depressing surroundings of the dungeon he was in, he did not care. He WAS Lonewolf. The brave man who fought and saved the world countless times from evil alongside his many friends and companions...no...his family! His fighting spirit and new attitude towards the world filled him with emence energy. He felt like he could bust out of his cell with ease! He reared his right fist back and thrust it forward with all his might, attempting to knock down the dungeon door domokun ....."BAM!!!" eek .....A few audible sounds of bones breaking can be heard. "YYYYYYEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUCH!!!! crying " Lonewolf hopped up and down shaking his hand around in the air. His fingers hung loosely and just dangled about as he ran circles around the small cell yelping in pain.

The wolf stopped suddenly, a slight growl bulging in his stomach. A puff of indigo came up over his haunches to sit on his neck.
With a little sigh, the now dirt covered Violet wrapped her fingers around tufts of fur.
"That was not a fun ride, Locke..."
The wolf only turned, his nose pointedly aimed at a figure in the mist. The persocom's eyes fluttered wider as her recording began. She zoomed in on the masked man, a determined fellow, heading down the mountain.
"That's not master, Locke. Master doesn't walk like that. Nor have such an ugly mask."
The wolf bobbed his head and continued up the mountain. His eyes caught sight of the castle before the computer had. But before Violet could input any data on the new location, the wolf had headed off at a run, directing the two towards the back of the castle.

After performing a small healing spell on his hand, Lonewolf layed in the corner where he bundled up a small handful of hay into a pillow. He laid there with both hands behind his head and his left leg crossed over on top of his right knee, which was poking up from the ground. As he laid there, he thought about how he would amend things between himself and everyone he knew...if they were all alive, that is.

Suddenly, he heard a rustling sound coming from outside the small barred window. "Hm?" He sat up to listen closer. He heard the panting of what sounded like a dog, followed by a faint little voice, trying to whisper as quietly as she could.

"Master....Maaaasteeeerr..!"

Lonewolf stood up and quickly walked over to the window. He felt a sensation of relief when he saw who was standing at the bottom of it. Violet sat atop Locke as they both looked up at their master. Violet gave Lone a scolding look, "Master! Where have you been? Locke and I have been looking all over for you!" Lonewolf ignored her question, "Violet! Locke! Boy, am I glad to see you guys! Here..." Lonewolf extended his hand outside of the window as low as he possible could for Violet to jump into his palm. "I'll help you inside." Locke stood on his hind legs and placed both front paws on the wall of the dungeon, giving Violet leverage to jump into Lone's palm. She did just that, "Stay." Lonewolf instructed to Locke, who seemed to aknowledge his master's words perfectly. He sat on the dirt and remained looking up at the window even as Lone walked away from it.

Inside the dungeon, Lonewolf kneeled and let Violet scurry off his palm. He then sat on the ground with his back against the wall. "Violet..." He began. "Please.....tell me, or show me if you have any recordings, what exactly has been going on ever since Locke got poisoned by that demon." He waited patiently for an answer.

The persocom smiled, happy to see her Master was well. If not in a strange place, that is. She hardly had time to investigate before Lonewolf asked her what had happened.

Violet nodded, personally she didn't want to go through this all again. But she turned herself to the wall as the images projected. It began at their cabin, Lonewolf losing all sanity and storming out. The picture went fuzzy as it changed to Hajimate's temple and the blood seeping across the floor. It showed Lion and Inferno, and finally Lion returning with Lonewolf's body.
The tape went blank, and then the figure in the mist was strutting across the wall, a zoom in on the mask, and everything went black again.

The persocom turned back to her master, "And now we're here... Wherever here is..?"
PostPosted: Wed Sep 26, 2007 7:24 pm

Lonewolf was completely stunned by the images he saw before him.

So... He thought, Once Locke was poisoned, I had lost my mind and apparently either murdered or mortally wounded Haj. But why am I unconcious by the end of the tape? And why the hell am I here?! Not even Violet knows why I'm in this cell....this doesn't make any sense!

Lonewolf sighed in frustration, then nodded to Violet, "Thank you, Violet. At least your recordings answer the reason why I couldn't remember anything after Locke got poisoned. I must've somehow...transformed into this angry entity, completely blotting out my normal conciousness. I guess I gave you and Locke quite the scare back there, huh? Losing my mind like that..." Lonewolf lowered his head in shame. "What the hell was I thinking..?"

Violet nodded, she didn't want to see Lone like that ever again. Her hands couldn't help but tremble at the thought. Certainly Locke had felt the same.
She looked up at Lone and turned her head to the side,
"But you're okay now, aren't you Master?"

He had to be, right? They needed to get out of there and find a cure for Locke. She knew they were in a dungeon of a castle. She knew it was easy to get in and out herself. If Lone was willing, and able, they could get out of this mess and try to find the others. She could tell Lion everything was okay.

But with all this racing in the background, it was more important that Lone be honest with the persocom. If he was going to lose it again, she wanted to be prepared this time.
"Aren't you?"
PostPosted: Wed Sep 26, 2007 10:17 pm

Lonewolf looked up at Violet and smiled warmly, "Yes, Violet. I'm fine now." Violet's innocence and Locke's loyalty to him always brightened him up a bit during hard times. "However, we need to find a way out of here...here, I'll help you get through the bars on that door." Lonewolf regarded the small window with bars on the dungeon door. He picked Violet up and walked over to the door and placed her between the bars on the window. "Now see if you can get the door open..." Instructed Lonewolf.

((continued from Forest to the East thread))

Elliana and Inferno appeared in Arianna's throne room. "Sister, I have returned with one of the dragoons of old."

Arianna turned away from the window she was looking out of to regard Elliana and Inferno. "Good, Elliana...now...go find me the rest of them."

Elliana bowed her head before leaving, "Yes, mistress." She then disappeared once again.

Arianna regarded Inferno with an amused smile...

Inferno's eyes lit up and imediately, his body was engulfed in fire.
"Hello. As you must surely expect I have a few questions for you. Who are you? Where is this place? And most importently... what the hell do you want?"
Inferno's eyes piereced through her like he was peering into her very soul with a hateful glare, but only his eyes.
"If you have any business with me, then speak up."
Inferno showed no signs of running away or any signs of an idmmediate fight.

Violet gave a curt nod, "Yessir!" She stood between the bars and saluted before dropping down to the other side.
A small thud could be heard as she landed.
"Owie!" >.<;
The cell door had large iron padlocks fixing it to the wall, she couldn't break those. But her eyes lingered over to the hinges, crafty work, yes, but not impossible to destroy.
The little computer hummed with energy as tiny pale fingers pulled at the thin white cord. Its tip sparked and flared at the cast-iron hinges, though no progress was made.
Violet sat down and pushed all of her energy into the cord, the sparks flew wildly now, building up pressure as the hinges popped out of place.
"Master will have to push down the door now..." Lavendar eyes swiftly turned to grey,
"This one is too tired."

Inferno was suddenly thrown into the corner of the room and as he hit the wall, strange black tentacles extended from it and wrapped around Inferno's arms and legs. They held onto him tightly and were made of some unknown substance, though it felt far stronger then mere steel. Suddenly, the tentacles began to glow slightly. Inferno winced at the pain as he felt his own life source beginning to drain at an exruciatingly slow rate. Arianna looked upon this spectacle as if she's seen it thousands of times. "Within 4 days, you will be stripped completely of your powers...and life. Enjoy a slow death." The woman turned away and walked over to her crystal ball. Lonewolf could be seen pushing the door to his cell open and picking up the drained Violet off the ground and putting her in his shirt pocket. "So...he has escaped from his cell. No matter...he will be joining his demon friend soon enough." The woman smiled evily and looked over at Inferno then began to laugh malevolently.

Inferno became ferious, his pupils shrunk and his scar began to glow.
"Coward! Fight me like a man dammit! You cursed b***h! Release me and fight me for real! I'll kick your a**! You hear me!?! I'll kill you! I'll ******** kill you!!!"
Inferno began to thrash around, pulling the tentacles a bit, and lurched forward, stretching the tectacles nearly two feet, but the pain was too much. The pain hit him all at once, like a lightning bolt streaming through his body, he screamed in pain. As his strength gave way, the tectacles pulled him back. The orange fire demon barely remained conscious. He kept his glare focused on the woman who captured him.
