Ummm...not necessarily the deep south, but more like out 'in the sticks' as the saying goes. Most people link it to mean southern hicktowns. I live in Tennessee but I wouldn't consider Nashville the boondocks. xD But the town where my grandparents live, I definitely would. xD
The actual song "Boondocks," by Little Big Town, is based on Louisiana, I think.

We do in fact party in martini bars *hiccups* you should try it *hiccups again* We get wasted and ruin other peoples cars for fun, although *hiccups* i think they call that vandelism *hiccups*

well in good ole ireland in the city of galway wetles of whine cider beer vodka and other drinks i myself get jaigermeister and we enter the magic forest and stay there all day and get pissed and alot of the time ppl are caring and give you a few cans in return for a cig or two sorry if im imposing
