Well, I'll be starting High School on August 20th, and I want to get the point accross that I'm "different", and I'm a Lolita. I don't know what to wear and all that, so I'm confused!

First day of Senior Year, i wore a fall, green, brown and white lolita combo, it was slightly laid back, but everyone knew that I was lolita lover.
Alot of my teachers adored it, while others, i think, were slightly like: Yea...i don't care. Fun times. <3

Wear whatever Lolita you want! And I am thinking since you asked about it school uniforms are NOT required! ( I wish my school had to wear uniforms) I graduated a looooooong time ago! biggrin But just remember to pay attention to your school dress code, you don't wanna get sent home your first day. And then flaunt your Lolita style!!!!! xd

I can see that I will be making a petticoat soon, since I'll need one. ALthough, I'm not sure if my mom would let me walk out of the house in my loli clothes for school. I will be saving up for some casual loli clothes from Candy Violet, hopefully before school does start.
Are there any loli touches I can add to my clothes and all that? I'm not the brightest bulb in the box, so I get lost easily.

I say go casual loli the first day so you don't put off any of your teachers or anything... and since you won't be loli every day
Then for the rest of the year you can wear whatever you want whenever you want... 'normal', fancy, casual, inspired, etc.
If you want to sort of lolify your 'normal' clothes, you can do things like appliques and blouses and wearing a petti under any other skirts you have that might take a petti ok

 Actually, I don't think you should go totally all-out on the first day. Yes, it will give people the impression that you are different and lolita... but it may also give them a "this girl's really weird" kind of vibe.
Don't go all out, but don't be super casual, either. Just go in the middle.
I'd say only go all out on special days.
Every other Friday I go all-out, haha.

What about for my birthday? It's August 27th, which is a week after school starts. Should I wear something nice that day?
Also, school pictures/ID cards are on August 8th, and I'm not sure what to wear. I wish I had money to get at least 1 outfit from candy violet, but we're kinda poor, and I don't have a petticoat. I wish I had a loli friend I could borrow one from. And, I wish I had a nice T-Shirt to wear with my blue skirt, and a pair of shoes. Alas, no money for anything.
I also got my hair cut to Hime Cut, and I shall post pictures soon. Maybe even one in my siggy.
By the way, Allison, It's okay you couldn't attend. I'll see you in Anime Club, though, right? You look so adorable! I must think of a nickname for you! When is your birthday?

But yeah, your birthday would be a good day to wear a nice outfit.
As for picture day, if you don't get full-body pictures, just wear a cute button-up blouse (peter-pan collar? lol. I love those!) and some ribbons in your hair. Maybe curl it if it looks good that way.
I love having the hime cut... but I haven't cut mine since the week after Valentines day. lol. It looks stupid now. I'm going to go back and get my visual-kei-esq hair, though. it was easier to care for. :3

My best friend's mom shares the same birthday as me. I shall be getting her a card and maybe a small bag of good coffee.
I don't have a button up blouse... I was thinking of having low piggy tails and ribbons in them. I was also thinking about curling my hair. I love having my birthday in August during school. It's so nice~ n_n
I shall send you a birthday PM, blackberry sage, because I'm so kind. heart I think the Hime Cut adds a Loli touch to my everyday style. Plus, it's so adorable~ heart
