Captain's UpdatesRecent news from the Captain.Mortal Being Hello everyone, there's not much here, but I will be working on make it a great place for us all. Currently I am in need of a banner, if you know how to create one, and have a great idea for it, start up to it, I'll award the winner with something that I can gather up. Lol buying this guild has broke my wallet, but no worries, doesn't mean I don't have something useful that you might want ^_^. I hope everyone enjoys yourself here. Oh secondly, if you want to join this guild, I will need to see some proof of your literacy. How to do that? Well I am thinking about creating a few mini ideas that you have to write to. Like, you wake up as you hear a fire alarm going off.... and you have to fill it in, and run with it. I expect at least a paragraph post. (5-7 lines minimum), and probably have you pick from two choices. I am still working on how I will set it up, so it may be a while before members join other than the ones that have proven their literacy already to me in RPs. Hopefully we'll have some good rps set up here, as well as stories/poems, and other things. All will come as time grants, but for now... now we rejoice. Pass the rootbeer! Mortal Being Site update!Those who are early birds will come to realize that all of the subforums will be locked tomorrow... Egasph, why? Well the main reason being is we're going to be undergoing some new changes. First off here's what the new layout will look like this: Anti-Writer Art Melting Pot Special Events Crew Quarters General RP General RP OOC School RP .... all the Member RPs .... The reason being is because of the recent people wanting their own subforums, this way it'll be a lot easier to maintain, and for them to join up. The ideo locator will be updated as well. As for the mainforum, that'll still be up of course, so feel free to lounge around there if you wish until the subforums are open once again. Don't worry, the down time won't be long, and for those that are not early birds (it'll happen 6 a.m. central time) you'll probably won't even notice that they were down. So anyways as always, have fun, and hope you all will like the new layout!

Other UpdatesUpdates on Sub-Forums and other important things.Mortal Being Great news, the new look is starting to come about. Not only do we now have a functional chatterbox area (the melting pot), but we also have a fully operational writer's area (Anti-writer's block)... now currently we need the art area to be opened up. So with that said, I am looking for mods. That's right, someone to help keep care of these areas and give them good attention. So far Kiki is taking control of the Anti-Writer's block, and she is definitely the person for the job ^_^, but we have three other areas that need mods. Those areas are the melting pot, the art area, and the general rp area. If you're interested in these jobs, please tell me and I'll inform you all you need to know about them. If you're not a crew member, and you want to apply, feel free to, you will more than likely see a promotion ^_^. On a final note, it seems our guild is picking up finally, so invite all the people you want, we're kicking off to a good start! Mortal Being Okay another announcement we now have Serena controlling the Art forum, so now we just need someone to control the Melting Pot area. Also if you have any ideas please submit it to the suggestion box, I'll be happy to take up any suggestion and add you to the credits. As you see within the last two days we have come up with some major edits to the guild, and this has all be thanks to the members and crew alike who have been giving me not only motivation but given me ideas to run with. However I have to say I give special thanks to those who took it a step above and took a position of moding an area (kiristiki and Eranes) Final note, I am going to be adding a poll to suggestion box (that will change once a week), asking you if you like the way the guild is heading. If you put yes, yay, if you put no, then give us a suggestion on what you want to see added or improved. Hopefully this communication will help us be able to manage the guild a lot better.

New Events!News on fun events and contests. ^__^Mortal Being Here's the first contest everyone. We will have a voting on the banners we have. Meaning get your banners into me, and we'll start up voting process on it, probably three days max to get in all the votes. I'll probably find a way to make it more fair on everyone so its not a popularity contest (although I won't be putting who designed them, some might find out anyways XD). Perhaps, you have to have a written review on why you picked the one you picked, or perhaps the cash prize won't be so large if it is a landslide. Anyways the winner will get to pick either a cash prize (the price only I know ^_^) or the mystery box! (don't worry I'll try to make it worth your wild whichever you pick, so don't think it'll only be 1k or something) If you really just made the banner because you're an awesome person, and you win, I can just hold your cash prize and make the next contest prize even larger! Note: the donation of the guild is non-withdrawable for prizes or whatnot, so you'll probably just receive a trade request or a giftbox if you win. If for some reason someone wants to donate to these contests, I'll probably create a mule or something so the funds won't get mixed in with mine, I will probably be running the contests out of my own pocket ^_^, so don't really feel obligated to donate anything. A contest where you can put your skills of action, creativity, and character together from a one-liner rp post for a prize! You will have form 1-10 one-liners to choose from once a month, are given up to 17-18 days to get a limit of two entries in if you choose to do so. And then, when the judging begins two days prior to the 20th of every month, you'll have a chance to win either a Sealed Letter, a donation item (reasonable), or a store-bought, spendy item. It's a way to help members be more active and for the guild and rps, and not just chatting threads or inactivity. Now, note: you do not have to have an rp or be in a lot of rps. Just simply give a little effort out to the guild's purpose and we shouldn't have any problems. You can either use these one-liners as themes, sentences to fix and work into something, or even create a small story from it--- the possibilities may be endless for you members. Well for the most part they include a special thanks to whoever helped them get to the point of where they are, yes even thanking oneself is still giving credit, but lol I rather be a bit humble on it., So This is exactly what that is for, giving special thanks to those who helped make this guild a better place. If you want to add someone put it up and I'll add it to the list. Without a further ado, let the credits roll. Jose-cool: Creating the name, L.O.L Legion of Literates, First to start working on creating an rp, and first to buy his own subforum. Forever Enchanted: Suggested the subname, "A whole new adventure", donated money to help support the guild, inviting members to join. Allihandra: Donating, and for encouraging to start guild. Recent Updates Around the Guild!
Have you been noticing the small things we've been working on lately? I hope so! And although things are coming along slowly, we hope to work for something a lot greater! So, here's a few slow updates that have been made around the guild. This news here is only so you don't have to go looking around for anything that we may be announcing! Enjoy! The Guild_____Can you believe it? The guild has reached over 100 members, and we're well on our way to getting more! By recommendation of The Corinthian P1R3, we have set up a referral thread where you can come to us and ask us to invite one of your literate friends! Do you even have a friend you would like to get some literate help? Even refer them to come and join the school! Have any other suggestions? Be sure to let us know! What relics, you ask? Why, for such threads that are no longer being used and the likes and instead of just deleting them, well... we're going to save them and put them away! You can still view them though, but they may not be put to much use... Other than that, if you look at the General RP Section Forum, and look into the Directory, there's been a major update! Our wonderful Crew Member Serena has updated and improved the Directory for all of your rps to be linked and looked at, so be sure to post your summaries and get your roleplays popular!
