((5 years before Final Fantasy 7))
Five years before the cataclysmic events of SquareSoft's © Final Fantasy VII, General Sephiroth, SOLDIER First Class Zack, and Shinra Grunt Cloud Strife, were dispatched to the Nibelheim Mako Reactor after receiving reports that the Reactor was malfunctioning and needed to be shut down. However, when General Sephiroth and his unit arrived in the small town of Nibelheim, they began to discover the dirty and dark secrets of Shinra's attempts to play God and conduct human experiments on its of employees. After finding reference materials from the Jenova Project conducted by Professors Gaust and Hojo inside the Shinra Manor, Sephiroth, horrified over the truths he has now uncovered, believes himself to be an inhuman monster and the last remaining Ancient...the heir to the legacy of Jenova. Finally, coming into contact with Jenova awakes something inside of him, and with the madness of his creation consuming him, he turns on his fellow soldiers and humanity in general. He then burns Nibelheim to the ground. After realizing that the destruction of the small town they had come to protect was destroyed by his very own friend and commander, Zack makes his way in a shocked and enflamed rage to the reactor hidden in the mountains behind the town...Cloud Strife following soon after. The grief and anger of seeing his hometown, childhood friends, and neighbors set a blaze struck a sensitive cord in Cloud's being, forcing him to confront the insane general, his role model, and his superior officer after his best friend Zack and childhood friend Tifa Lockheart had fallen victims to Sephiroth's rage. Taken by surprise, Sephiroth is run through with Zack's own sword by Cloud as he retrieved Jenova's head from its imprisonment. Cloud then immediately stepped back in shock of what he's just done and ran back to check up on the unconscious Tifa and the severely injured Zack. However, the maddened general wasn't ready to neither go down nor be beaten by an insignificant Shinra grunt just yet. Realizing that the general was still alive, Cloud attempted to go back and finish the job with Sephiroth after hearing the encouraging words spoken to him by his friend Zack. But as Cloud approached a second time, Sephiroth drove his Masamune through the lowly soldier in vengeance for critically wounding him as he tried to free his mother. The wound to Cloud was fatal, but Cloud was also not one to give up so easily when he was the only thing standing between the insane Ancient and his friends. In an almost inhuman like move, Cloud retches the Masamune from his body and casts the once great Sephiroth and legendary Hero of SOLDIER into the Lifestream. But the nightmares weren't over when Sephiroth went over the edge of the reactor...they were just beginning. As Cloud lay dying and Zack barely able to stand, let alone save his friend, Shinra foot soldiers raided the reactor along with the now head of Shinra's Scientific Research Branch, Dr. Hojo. Zack and Cloud, being the only two worth while survivors of the Nibelheim incident, were taken to the Shinra Mansion laboratory hidden away from the world to be forced into Hojo's inhuman "Reunion Project". In his attempt to create the perfect soldiers, clones of his son Sephiroth, Hojo used the near dead Cloud and the quickly recovering and retaliatory Zack by exposing them to highly concentrated amounts of Mako, Jenova cells, and to Cloud the highly coveted Sephiroth gene. However thanks to Zack's already highly Mako-Injected body being a member of SOLDIER, Zack's unnatural immunity to the experiments made it very frustrating for Hojo on not being able to turn him into a perfect Sephiroth clone. The experiments continued for three years...
((Two Years before the beginning of Final Fantasy 7, and now the beginning of the RP storyline))
After attempts at turn Zack into an exact Sephiroth clone failed, Hojo decided that Zack would be the perfect candidate for a new set of experiments being conducted at the Midgar headquarter to create a new breed of SOLDIER. By infusing the DNA of powerful First Class SOLDIERs with extreme amounts of mako and animal DNA, they would result in supreme controllable warriors that they could use were normal soldiers would fail. Zack was transported with Dr. Hojo to the main laboratory in Midgar. However...Zack isn't one to go down without a fight, nor is he one for leaving a comrade and dear friend behind at the whims of a mad man with the attempts of turning Cloud into the same man he feared above all and murdered. The story begins at the Midgar Main Laboratory Wing of Headquarters where experiments on the new candidate test subject for the Neo-SOLDIER project are about to commence...

Leon looked though the window, dressed in the all too tight dress uniform that Leon wore that was equal to what the Turks wore. The only time Leon even would wear hte thing was at Midgar, and in hte ShinRa Office Building, or in this case, the scientific research wing of hte facility. He sighed, watching hte scientists conduct their experiments on hte 'MIA' SOLDIER First-Class Zack down below. Leon hated the whole idea of the Neo-SOLDIER project, but, being hte 'lowly grunt' that he was, had absolutely no say in the matter. Leon looked over at the woman who had been assigned to monitor the project, and didn't envy her. His uniform was decorted, with several bronze, and silver stars, 4 purple hearts, and 1 Medal of Honor. He also had almost 2 dozen ribbons above the medals, some with a few oak leaves and even fewer with stars. Dion knew how combat was, and didn't regret joining hte military. But right now, the Turks were a differant matter.

The scientist who was helping Madeline evaluate the project began to stutter. "With subject 001, there has been no viable enchancements, infact, it's almost like his DNA is rejecting all hte alterations we put him though... However, with subjects 007-019, there have been possitive enhancements and effects. However, we did encounter an.. unexpected side-effect... It would seem that the SOLDIERs inject iwth Anicent DNA, go insane, while those that are injected with animal cells have survived, and are fully functional, it is however, that htey have devloped some... Characteristics of the animal DNA..." The scientist said, repeating some letters or words several times. The man was downright scared to death. Leon chuckled silently, wondering how the man could do anything as wired as he was. "So in other words, the Neo-SOLDIERs have to be created by fusing SOLDIER First Class's DNA with that of some animal to work? Wonder how the population is going to take half-human, half-animal SOLDIERS in their midst. Hell, how will the Armed Forces take it?" Leon said, shaking his head in wonder.
