The forest was large; obviously far larger than she was. That was fine though. She was used to the world being a big place and, in getting used to that, she had found out that she could face it just fine. She could do her best to aide others and, in doing so, she could be helpful. Ah, yes, the wonders of aiding others...
Currently she was out of 'work'; taking a break from finding those in need. Her tiny tail flickered against her hindquarters as she dipped her head down, taking a sip from the stream. Glorious cool water running straight from the mountains... Could anything be better?

She dipped her head down into the water as she walked though a small stream. Having the cold water rush across her hooves was a wonderful contrast to the heat of the day. Though no longer in the sun the black of her coat still soaked up every ray of light that broke though the leaves. The stream had been a welcome reprieve from the heat.
Shaking her head she walked alone careless of what sort of creatures the nose she was making would attract. While she would respect their power she would not be frightened to walk where she wished. This was the open country and from the look and smell of the place not where the usual horribles would roam. There were too many small creatures moving about in the underbrush and too many birds singing for her to be wary of danger.

She tilted her head, ears swiveling towards the sound of water splasing not far from where she was. She listened for a moment longer before hopping down into the stream, tiny legs firmly planting themselves as she stood her ground, quite curious and determined to be of some assistance if possible. "Who goes there?"

She paused as she heard a voice but didn't see anyone. Realizing what the problem was she shifted her gaze down and was surprised to see one of the smaller set standing in her path in the water.
"A Wanderer." She tilted her head slightly in a bow of greeting as she looked at the little white Usida.

She took a small step back so that she could look up at the mare without straining her small neck. A bright smile curved her lips as she bowed her head in return. "Greetings and Salutations, wanderer. Welcome to the forest! Is there somewhere specific that you are wandering? Or are you just wandering in general?"

"Just in general." She hadn't thought of a specific destination when she'd picked up walking this morning. She had just turned in the direction she felt like going and had started. Life tended to lead you where you needed to be if you just let it.
"It seems you've an errand of some sort? Or are you just the welcoming party for this area?" She laughed softly as she spoke hoping the little Usida wasn't offended.

"Errand? No, no. No errand." She hadn't been sent here by anyone, afterall. At least, she couldn't recall having been sent here by anyone. She was just... Here. "Not a welcoming party either, although it would be terribly rude of me to not welcome you after finding you here, wouldn't it?"

"Perhaps.." She looked over the other again for a moment. "You have seen a large white unicorn about have you? Nice to look at until he opens his mouth?"
She knew he was around here somewhere. This was the direction he'd gond when they last parted and she knew too much further this direction would run into ocean. It would be nice to see if a chance of scenery had changed his attitude any.

"Large, white..." She pondered for a moment, tilting her head skyward as she tried to recall everyone that she had seen pass by recently. Large, white creatures were rather common... Especially in comparison to her; a small, white creature.
"I may have! If you know which direction he went in I am positive that I could lead you in it!' She was good with directions; very good with them. So good that she had never gotten lost once. She could always find her way back to the stream, afterall.

"As so far as i know he is just somewhere in the direction i was walking. Where he went after that i am not certain." He could be anywhere in the vast plains but she hoped he was somewhere that she could find easily.
She'd have to save whatever poor mares he'd come across from his tongue after all.

"In that case, I shall lead you in that direction!" She nodded, flashing the larger mare a bright smile before trotting on through the stream ahead of her, creating several large splashes before making her way back up onto the dry land. "A big, white unicorn, you say? Is there anything else about this stallion you seek that I should know about, La---..."
She came to a complete halt, turning quickly to look up to the other mare. "How horrid of me! We have yet to exchange names. I am Chalcedony of the Meadows Green and Forests Tall."

She could say many other things about the stallion but none of them were things she would rattle off in stories. She preferred to keep her dignity even if he didn't. "He has a golden mane to go along with the white. Trust me when i say you shall know him when you see him." There was no mistaking him even if one had never met him before.
"It is a pleasure Chalcendony. I am Alysida." She bowed her head slightly before she walked up the bank of the stream to stand on the dry grass.

"The sort that most would call 'dashing'?" Her brows lofted slightly as she gave her head a light toss before trotting onward. "I have no doubt that we will find him. The forest is big, yes, but there are places where one goes to find others and I just happen to know some of them. I will aide you in your quest, Alysida."

"Until he opens his mouth at least" No mare in their right mind would call him dashing after he'd spoken to her. If one such mare existed she'd have to go find the poor girl and put her out of her misery herself.
They'd wandered around for what seemed like at least half the day when her brow furrowed. "Chalcedony, haven't we passed by here twice now?" She swore she was starting to recognize the trees they were passing. They had to be going around in circles.

"I..." Her brow furrowed slightly as she glanced around, looking at one tree and then another before finally looking down at the ground. There were enough tracks on the ground to make it look as though a small herd of Usdia had trampled through along with one larger Soquili.
"Yes. Possibly more than twice, I'm afraid. Unless... Unless we are being followed!" She sprang back, taking a defensive pose as she turned to look in the direction that they'd just come from. "We know you are there! Come out now with your head up and we won't seek to take any actions against you!"
He had lost Lady to her relection once more, taking a moment to examine his own before heading out into the woods for a bit of silence and, perhaps, a bit of something else if he was lucky enough. He had been wandering for a good hour or so when he heard shouting. A female in distress?
He charged through the trees, skidding to a halt when he caught sight of a familiar tail. His brow lofted slightly as he stepped out onto the path. "With a voice that loud you'l soon have the entire forest following you even if no one was before... And with company like this, little one, you are just asking for trouble."
