Okay, before we get into this topic let me inform you that not all fairies are those oh so adorable Tinker Bells nor or they always nice. In Ireland they believe they are fallen angels that are too good for Hell but to bad for Heaven so they represent and live in nature.
I believe I have the "second-sight" which I'm sure anyone who believes in the paranormal would know about. The whole seeing what is really there with ghosts, spirits, demons, and fairies.

I never really took the Good People (the Fairies) seriously until a year ago this very day when I was traveling through town in some heavy traffic. I sat staring out the window between the two roads. It was split up by a line of big trees and benches (I don't imagine who would sit down in the middle of a busy road, but people are strange.) We were passing the trees slowly, about one tree every six seconds, and I watched them carefully since I was so bored. Then my muscles tensed when we got to the last tree; I saw a small little man only a foot high underneath it apparently sleeping.
I thought I was seeing things until I shook my head and blinked but there the little man lay under the tree. Then I saw his head twitch a bit towards my direction then he nodded his head and he turned to a pile of leaves and twigs.

I was simply dumbfounded by this experience and went home to research what I might have seen. He looked like a little gnome, but didn't really have that gnome feel. I poked around until I began reading up on fairies of the British Isles and the description of them fit what I had seen perfectly. (Small little people wearing caps in peasantry clothing.)

Then I found the Elven Star (a seven pointed star) and printed it out on the internet. I read that people believed them portals to the Otherworlds in which the fairies inhabited. Wishing for another interesting experience I cut it out and pasted it above my bed. (Stupid me...)

That night I stayed up late watching TV and went to bed about five minutes till midnight. I got into me jamies and opened the door to let the cool fans from the hall combined with mine keep me nice and cozy for a good weekend's sleep. The light was still faintly on from the bottom of the stairs making everything look dark and odd.

Then I began to hear indistinct mumbling coming from everywhere in the room; I could only describe it as deep and mysterious as if the room itself was conversing with the items in it. I sneaked a peek above the covers and looked at the bottom of the bed. I saw four little figures all wearing caps and capes pacing my bed in and odd fashion in a kind of march/dance. The clock down in the dining room chimed twelve, midnight, and the figures quickly vanished only leaving an odd presence in the room... Like being watched.

I sat for about five minutes going over in my head what had just gone on. It was so brief, yet it had left a large impact on me. I jumped up and grabbed the star and put it underneath my pillow to get rid of it during the morning. I, of course, forgot about the star and simply went on with my day and told no one of the experience.

Then a week later I did the same routine. Stayed up late watching TV and going to bed at midnight. I closed the door and turned off all the lights and went to bed. Then the mumbling came back, this time the presence in the room was menacing. A weight on my leg and at the end of the bed popped out of no where and I began to feel like I was being poked. I thought I was experiencing my first case of Sleep Paralysis but then I found out I could move. I kicked my legs and the mumbling stopped along with the weight at the bed. Then I felt something crawl up on the bed and get back on my legs. (My head was underneath the covers) and began to be poked by several different hands. I prayed and whispered the "Our Father" prayer and they backed off for the night.

When I awoke I was terrified and quickly ran to one of my paranormal forums that had help. They tried to help with logical explanations but nothing seemed to fit. I remembered the star and quickly ripped it to shreds and through the remains in the trash. Through the rest of the week I saw little toady men with pasty fat skin around the house.

The most terrorizing sighting I had with one was when I was sitting on the porch talking to my mother when a face described above peered out through the shine of the window and then faded away. I was jumpy through the entire week, fearing going to bed for the experience happened every night at the exact same time.

It eventually began to stop because of my precautions. (A crucifix above the bed, salt and copper spread around the openings and doors, iron by the bed. (All of which could ward of demons or fairies which ever they might have been.)

After these experiences they seemed to have lost interest with me besides the occasional experience here and there and hearing their music at random times of the day. Sometimes I see a faded humanoid figure under a tree who quickly disappears if I point it out.

(I swear these experiences are true and some of my friends believe me, though my parents say it's just an overactive imagination. In my belief these creatures are the things that are neither good nor evil but simply there.)

Get yourself some iron railroad stakes (these usually litter the sides of the railways en masse when they do maintenance, etc), take the stakes and put them right up next to the house and anywhere in your yard that you know the lawn mower won't be destroyed by their presence and stake them firmly into the ground.
Also, keep some St. John's Wort around the house. In your pillowcase, grow some by your windowsill, etc...
Only take these away if you feel you don't need them anymore.

Wow, quite the experience! It's probably a good thing you got the faes away even if they were harmless; it's generally not a wise idea to open a gate into another realm, never know what might come out!

Yeah, they're all pretty much gone except the ones that are actually supposed to be here. They tend not to interfere with me now but I still hear and see them.

I only would try to harm them if they try to harm me, if you know what I mean.

Facinating really.
I'm one to jump at anything paranormal.
I'm mixed about fairy's.
One night i left out some milk and it was half way gone in the morning. I was told fairys love it.
I was also having computer problems then it stopped after i sat out milk a couple of times.

It could have just evaporated.
I'm willing to offer up a sane explanation to anything supernatural but sometimes the most obvious is the real explanation.
Anyway- i do believe without a shadow of a doubt that there are deamons in this world.
So why not other things?

Yes, in my belief and the folk beliefs of Ireland they are the angels who fell with Lucifer when he was cast from Heaven but they were not demonized like the worst of the angels but were too good for Hell but too bad for Heaven, so they are the neutral ones between good and evil. They fear the demons and the holy men equally and that during the end times they will just cease to exist. (Rather sad really.)

That was very interesting. On my part I first just skimmed the pararaphs and saw 'seven pointed star'. I was instantly drawn in becuase my name, Gabrielle, is one of the corners. I do hope that they don't approach you agian. If they do, just say this while throwing a mixture of h*ly water and copper around the room, mostly around the entry ways and windows: This room and all who inhabit it are now protected by our *. If any creature, alive or other wise, dare to hurt those who live here, will face the wrath of our * ten fold of what they inflict. In the name of our * %. Amen.'

Why copper?

I've never heard of that being used to get rid of something. Iron would work much better on fairies.

Just wanna point out- Tinkerbell wasn't exactly a cutsey little fairy. Disney portrayed her more like that for the sake of making it a family film. But even in the Disney interpretation Tinkerbell was VERY vain and jealous. She tried to kill Wendy on more than one occasion because she was jealous of her. Sounds rather like a real fairy to me....

Would steel work on Faeries, since it's just carbonized iron, or does the carbonization process take some of the oomph out of it?

Interesting question. You could say that it does work just as well, say the reports of fairies has decreased and the use of steel increases could be proof of this.

Figured it'd be a good question if I ever run into any of the Fae. Nobody really has any raw iron around anymore.

Well I'm Irish and went to Ireland for the summer about maybe 1-2 years ago. My great-grandpa and grandma told to stay away from a forest that was near their house because they are Good People. I did understand what they meant by that at first until they told me all about what they were. I stayed away from it because they were explaining everything in deep detail and what would happen. They also had a iron fence around their house so they could protect themselves since you know they are like 89 right now.

Being almost 100% Irish I've heard stories about the Fairies....If I were you I would have deemed myself lucky to have come in contact with one or more of them...They're amazing little buggers xd always been fascinated by them...My Grandpa was lucky enough to have built his house on their property....But they were nasty at time....So maybe not be lucky....But yeah. Interesting story. Post more if you have anymore experiences with them =)
