I have been looking forward to this film since last year. It includes a wonderful cast: Johnny Depp, Alan Rickman, Anthony Head, and Sacha Baron Cohen, to name a few.

AND Tim Burton is directing. heart

And yes, it is a musical.

I am even more excited to see that movie now. And the hole in mah lil heart that Danny Elfman isnt composing is starting to heal also. He totally looks like an anti Susan Sto Helit in that poster 4laugh

Yes, I was heartbroken when I heard Danny wasn't composing the music. Him and Tim Burton are like... perfect together. lol.

I have finally found where I belong. I was so excited to get into this guild, yet nervous about whether people would really be active and have similar interests. Reading thread after thread just got me more and more excited. . . the orgasm came with this topic !!! Thank you!!!

Sweeney Todd kicks f-in' *ss!!! I was so excited when I heard they were doing the movie. . .between Tim Burton and Johnnie Depp, it can't get any better.
I think Sweeney is one of the first musicals I ever saw as a kid on PBS. . . so much for parenting. Any way, I was hooked. It's just a great story. There was another movie already made that I saw earlier this year. Definitely not quite like the musical and there isn't anyone really known in the movie. It was okay but Tim Burton's version is bound to be well worth paying to see it in the theater!!!
