The high res picture of my army. Mind the focus was a little out of whack, as was the camera that took the shot.

And now the "show pieces" Basically knights that I took extra time to work on because I wanted them to stand out more.

First and foremost, this is one of my knights that attracts the most attention as "What the HELL is that?!" And now the brief story behind the paint scheme that made this lonely knight a showpiece. As I was painting my army, some of my friends commented on how my upper eschalon Grail Knights had very bright pastel color schemes, some say they look like easter eggs, some said that they looked rather feminine, that they weren't "Manily Enough" and then the gay jokes started. As my friends started discussing which knights were gay in my army, and which ones were the tops to the bottoms.

So... I did what only I would do...

PRESENTING... SIR LANCE, THE GHEY!

Yeah that shield isn't a decal like most of them, I painted the whole thing by hand, it took forever. But the arguments about "are Neuf's bretonnian army rather 'metrosexual' looking?" ceased. A knight in head to toe gold armor with a pink surcoat and barding, with rainbows EVERYWHERE, will answer the question in a most postitive aspect.

Ok... now for the other pieces.

The Green Knight.

The Green Knight is the mythical spirit of the first King of Bretonnia. He comes into the game as an undead spectre as, according to the books, 'shrouded in mist.' So I added a bit of cotton around the base and around the top to give him the image of mist.

However, most armies I play against don't really mind the "undead spectre," and it doesn't strike as much fear into the hearts of enemies as I'd like, so he sits on the table with the rest of the army, out of play usually.

Next, The Fay Enchatress

She's the most powerful spellcaster in the game and rides a unicorn into battle. She took about... 8 hours to paint. Unfortunatly my camera was starting to die on me so I couldn't get the details I wanted.

And now the Royal Air Force Commanders

The Defacto General of the RAF, Flying Circus Division.
Duke Brionne.

I decided to paint this one black and white to reflect the character's colors of a white shield with a black axe on it. He basically flies behind the other pegasus and is moderatly effective as a general.

Then there's the one I painted because my friend decided he was going to do his Empire Army in the colors of the Union Troops of the American Civil War. Not to be out done by someone else's patroitism. I made this.

Duke Tancred, Beater of a**! On his Hypogrpyh, Steven Jr. ([ratio] will get the joke.)

A red white and blue knight, riding on the back of a hypogryph, painted up like a bald eagle. How's that for patriotism. My enormous head blocked the light, I know, but my camera was dying, and I couldn't get a better picture.

Woah!! That is so cool! I can't believe all the time it must have taken you to paint all of that, but it really paid off! biggrin

Thanks for sharing! ^^;;

My friends can run circles around my painting skills. One of my friends has a large dwarven army done as a Xmas theme. Lots of green and red and snowy looking stuff.

They're fighting to get their jobs back from the elves in the north pole. Goodness knows, that elves aren't as good as dwarves when it comes to building.

So hense, Xmas Dwarves. Also the only army I have an extremely hard time defeating in Warhammer.

I'll take pics of those when I get my camera fixed. As well as the RAF and the Peasant infantry units.
