This country was not stolen from anyone.
It was conquered. Also, most of it was just settled...there was no one there.
Is there anyone teaching "we stole this land from the Indians"?
Are they serious?
Stealing land is what the Mexican invaders are doing now.

We actually fought for it and won, in the places where there was conflict. In most of the spaces, it was empty, so we just built houses. There was no stealing.

If it was stolen, wouldn't that make the Indians rather weak and stupid for not noticing what was going on under their noses? "Stealing" implies that a theft happens and is only noticed later, when the loss is perceived. I don't think Indians were so clueless.
And, isn't our society (In Cali, anyway) rather weak and stupid for not moving to drive the invader out?

Why is it stealing when it's not, and not stealing when it is?

Yeah...I think what has to happen is:
-- more of a sense of place - less globalism (ie "we are all citizens of the world!" Forget that. If all the world is equal, why is everyone scrambling to come here?)
-- more of a sense of pride - "I am an American" (of whatever race. Currently two border patrol agents rotting in jail for doing their duty are Hispanics.)
