Chapter 1.
I can't come up with a better title...
I'm also not sure which category I should submit it to.
So, this is a story I just came up with today. With the help of my beloved boyfriend, Nathan.
It's all based off a dream I had this morning.
It takes place in, I guess you would call "post-Apocalyptic" era. Aliens destroyed a lot of it...yeah.
There is a battle taking place...actually it is a war, but I can't think of a better title. #$&*! The enemy is a terrorist-like group, the good guys are a faction...it makes sense ok?
The characters are based on people I know in real life.
SIK - based on me.
AEK - based on Nathan.
E - based on Nathan's sister.
EMO - based on her boyfriend.
JI - A guy Nathan works with.
Enemies that are actually spoken to are based off of people I knew before...
OLD - the leader of the us, the good guys.
Leader - the leader of the enemy group.
There's quite a bit to it all, actually. Anything that doesn't seem to make sense will more than likely be explained in later chapters. This chapter is like an introductory chapter.

“Why won’t this god damn book work?” A girl shouted as she knelt outside the door of the enemy’s base, a tattered red book in her left hand. Her right hand was held up towards a steel beam that held up the ceiling a few enemies stood under.
“This 'magical' book OLD gave me isn’t working anymore! AEK give me one of your guns!” The young man that had been shooting and screaming like a mad man on the opposite side of her moved back to pull out another gun, SIK reached out for it, but AEK just went back to shooting and screaming and ran ********’ hell.” She sighed and peeked through the door. Suddenly a streak of black flashed past her.
The figure stopped outside of an office-like room long enough for SIK to see E’s long blonde hair settling across her back before she disappeared inside the office.
Blood splatters on the glass soon followed.
Farther away she could see JI running around and flailing madly, somehow dodging the bullets as AEK crouched behind a metal table, still screaming and firing a different gun now.
He was carrying about…fifty.
“SIK! What are you doing? Get in there!” A voice shouted in her ear, causing her to cringe and pull the earpiece out for a second.
“That stupid book you gave me isn’t doing anything now!” She shouted back, “Earlier I was able to destroy a whole building by reading one line, but now…NOTHING!”
“I should have known…damn gypsy woman always selling me…dammit SIK! Just get in there! I know you can find something to fight with!”
SIK whimpered a little and peeked back inside. AEK was further in, JI was nowhere to be seen, and E was perched on top of an air duct that ran along the ceiling, preparing to strike.
Taking a deep breath, she darted inside and into the bloodstained room E had been in minutes before.
“Gun, gun…there’s gotta be a gun here somewhere…” There weren’t any except for a few that had been cut in half by E’s sword.
“Not even a pocketknife? What the hell?” She whispered. Opening a drawer in the desk she came across…pens?
“Pens…pens…ok. I can do this. Pens can work…yeah.”
She felt a soft tap on the back of her head. The tiny cat that miraculously stayed on top of her head, named Zero, was her lookout. The tap meant that there was someone coming up behind her…
s**t.
She ripped off the top of three pens and spun around ready to attack.
“Oh my god, don’t kill me!” Our medic, EMO screamed and covered his head.
SIK rolled her eyes and relaxed her stance. “What are you doing here? You’re supposed to stay outside unless we call for you.”
“Sorry, I was just worried about E, she hasn’t said anything since she went inside.”
“Probably because she’s busy killing people! Why didn’t you just ask one of us if she didn’t respond?”
“I don’t know.”
“Just stay here. If I see E, I’ll tell her to say something.”
He nodded and sat down on his med kit.
After a bit of running around and jumping over dead bodies, SIK found E wiping blood off of her sword with the shirt of her recent kill.
She looked up and grinned, then went back to her cleaning.
“Having fun?”
“Lots.”
“EMO’s freaking out about you, you need to say something to him.”
She laughed and blushed a little, then directed her attention to the earpiece. “I’m fine.”
After a brief pause she giggled a little, whispered something, waved at SIK, then vanished into the shadows.
There was suddenly a soft tap on the back of SIK’s head, she readied her pens and spun around.
To be greeted by the barrel of a shotgun. The man holding this gun, she knew him. His name was Deal. She had wanted to kill him for a long time.
“Well, hey there girlfriend! How’s life on the idiot side?” He spoke in his annoying redneck accent.
“I don’t know, I’m not on your side.”
As lame as her response was, he was offended. “b***h.”
She dove under the shotgun right before he pulled the trigger, jabbing two pens into his sides.
He screamed and yelled “You ********’ b***h!” over and over again as he reloaded. SIK took this opportunity of his vulnerable state to yank the shotgun out of his hands and ready it at his head. You could see fear in his eyes instantly.
She grinned and pulled the trigger.
After searching through the now headless idiot’s pockets, she discovered no more shells for the gun.
“Oh for ******** sake!” She screamed and threw the gun, which slid into an inconveniently placed hole in the ground, causing her to flail a little. “I still could have still used that!”
Zero meowed and rubbed his head on her forehead to calm her down.
“Sorry sweetie. This is just really frustrating. I can’t believe OLD did this to me…” She pulled out her handful of pens and pulled all the tops off of them. “I can’t believe this is my only weapon…”
Sighing again, she ran in the direction of AEK’s screaming to hopefully get more than one kill in.
