Zack, for once, was not asleep when he took Devakanya out to the park. Instead, he was leaning against a large tree. He was not, by any means, immobile. Instead, his headphones were blasting and he was swinging his lithe body back and forth, yelling lyrics a little louder than he realized. He hadn't sung like this in a long, long time (yelling wasn't healthy when one lived with small children) and damn, how he missed it.

We'll all stay skinny 'cause we just won't eat.
Nearby, Devakanya winced. Her guardian was a good singer, but did he really have to be so loud? To make matters worse, he was jerking and spinning around. If they were at home, Devi figured he probably would be playing his guitar. The unicorn sighed and glanced back down at her book. Maybe if she just curled up and read (silently!), no one would guess she was with him.

"I knew it. Your gay. Heehee, if you wanna fool around later-" the mohawked, skinny as a twig, bright neon blue and purple leather dressed black man giggled while skipping alongside his friend. They were trudging disgruntled through the park.
"Soloman, I-... if I was gay, you would be the last one to know, trust me." Sunny snapped, readjusting the hold he had on one of Harper's arms. Sunny looked like some sort of grungey prince, with perfect rose-red emo-tastic hair and an intricate red vest that had some sort of chinese dragon design, complete with metal chains, jewelry, and black girl's jeans. Was fairly easy to see why he was constantly being accused of being gay.
Further, Harper was being held by one arm and otherwise swinging freely side to side as Sunny walked. He was dressed in all black and seemed to have makeup on his toddler features, someone's idea of a joke to be sure.
"Yo babe, lookit this dude." Solo stopped his friend, slamming one hand over the other man's chest and pointing at Zack with the other. Sunny stared down at the other man's hand on his chest and promptly shoved Soloman away from him; consequently dropping Harper.
Harper took the opportunity and ran STRAIGHT for that unicorn girl, grinning in a way that said he remembered her quite well. Of course, she was a lot smaller last time, but his will, revenge and purpose knows no boundary!

Devakanya was so determined to ignore Zack and his stupidity, she didn't noticed Harper and whoever was taking him out for a walk. She was more focused on the picture book, trying to sound out the few words beneath each picture. It was rather difficult, considering she couldn't actually make the noises to put words together. Nevermind it was near impossible to hear her own thoughts as Zack howled happily to himself and whatever imaginary audience adored him. Oh, what a victim.
Zack was really quite happy in his pretend world, strumming his air guitar and hollering his head off (at least he could carry a tune) when he opened to his green eyes to check on Devi. What's this? It seemed like Devi was playing with...a mini goth, or something. Confused, Zack ceased in his performance and looked around before spotting a couple (where they a couple?). "That yours?" he asked, pointing to the small boy.

"Yes. Our love child." Soloman nodded efficiently and threw his arm around Sunny. Sunny promptly punched Soloman in the jaw (with what could be construed as a playful jesture, and was only in truth slightly more) before he hastily shook his head at Zack, "My sisters cabbage child. Harper, stay away from h-"
Harper promptly pounced on Deva with the intention of tackling/wrestling her, despite their size difference. Hopefully, surprise would be on his side and physics would ignore all their usual rules. "HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIiii!"
"Oh.. Uh.. Sorry, he doesn't usually.." Sunny was quickly jogging toward Harper. Solo nursed his jaw and squinted at Zack, "You single?"

...love child? Zack opened his mouth to ask, he couldn't have lip read that right, when one of the men socked the other in the face. Well. That answered that question. "Oh! Cabbage child? I got Devi from a cabbage too!" he chirped. There were a lot of these cabbage children running around. Strange, the whole lot of them. They were pretty fun, though.
Devakanya would have squealed, or maybe even screamed, if she had been capable when the attack was launched. Instead, she was just knocked over. Her book was launched and she quickly crunched into a ball. She didn't want to die!
Zack watched the punk attack his unicorn. He was halfway to going to her rescue when Sunny promptly stole his attention span. "...yeah, actually." How'd he know that? More than intrigued, he pulled one headphone off. "...why?"

(( I totally goofed that one up and meant to have Solo ask that last question but it's okay, I can fix it, so we can say Sunny asked it xD ))
Harper was cracking up, and seemed intent on tickling the girl now that she was in a proper defensive position. He wriggled his fingers toward the inside of her neck, but before long, he found his feet lifting away from him.
Sunny grabbed the brat by the ankles and pulled him up, "Sorry kid," he began while throwing Harper over one shoulder and offering his other hand to help the other girl up, "don't worry, he's harmless underneath it all."
Harper was extremely displeased. He grasped for Deva and pouted at her and then began to wail and pound on Sunny's back.
"Yeah. Are you single?" Solo grinned and got closer to Zack.
Sunny turned to Zack at that and smiled awkwardly, "I meant, are you in a band?"

Devakanya was near tears. She'd only met this boy once, once and he tried to kill her then, too! She didn't even know what she did to make him hate her so much! She quickly refused the offered hand and tumbled off the bench, making a mad dash for her guardian. She swung behind his legs and peered at Harper. Wait. He looked upset. Troubled, she stepped out from behind Zack's legs and walked over and reached up with one hand. Maybe he felt like being nice now?
Zack's frowned faded and he tipped his head to the side. Well. That made a little more sense, he supposed. "If I were in a band, why would I be singing to trees and squirrels?" he mused, running a hand through spikey black hair. "Wouldn't I actually be playing my guitar in the park instead of pretending to?" You know, he should try that. Might actually make a few extra bucks.

Sunny watched Deva run back with a blank stare. When she came back he shook his head and swung Harper around so that he was at least right side around and faced her, "No screaming."
"HI! I'M HARPER!! WHAT'S YOUR NAME?!" Harper screamed, flailing a mad wave at the unicorn girl and grinning like mad at her.
At that, Solo and Sunny looked at each other perplexed. "Why not?" Soloman asked, shaking his head at Zack, "playing in front of people gets old after awhile. And no, I wanted to know if you ... had a lover." Solo grinned and tried to get a little closer to Zack.
Sunny rolled his eyes, "We are in.. well, we were in a band.. Cabbage kid too, is she?" He asked, nodding at Deva while watching her curiously.

Devakanya visibly jumped as Harper screamed his greeting, clearly startled such a loud noise could come from such small boy. It took her a moment to regain her wit, and then another to point to the pretty necklace Zack had gotten her. It was a simple silver chain with a silver heart pendant with 'Devakanya' engraved. It made introducing herself much easier...given Harper could read.
...Zack blinked. Those two must be running on two entirely different tracks. "Erm...no. I don't have a lover. I...got...stood up?" Was that the right way to put it? "Disappeared one day and never came back." He shrugged. He looked at the other man and nodded. "Yep. Devakanya spouted from a cabbage. Seems to be a lot of those in these parts."

Harper stared at her for a little while in silence before repeating, "I'M HARPER! WHAT'S YOUR NAME?!!" He was set down and came to his feet quickly, staring at her necklace blankly. What did she want him to do with that? He pointed at his necklace thing and shrugged, "Me too. You no have name?"
"That's sad!" Soloman said quickly, shaking his head a little, "want a new lover? I have my shots and everything, and I'm totally STD free!" Solo nodded briskly and smiled cheekily at Zack. "Wanna join our band? You can sit by me."
"Guess we are attracted to each other." Sunny said with a shrug, before realizing he sort of made a pun. He rolled his eyes again at Soloman and shook his head assuringly at Zack, "She's awful quiet."

Devakanya jumped again, never ready for such a loud voice. Apparently, Zack's bright idea was lost on him. The unicorn sighed. If she couldn't make him understand the necklace, she wasn't really sure how else to communicate with him. She supposed she could probably go as a no name, if he wanted. If he stopped yelling.
Zack blinked. Was he serious? Cracking a wry grin, he chuckled. "Sure," he answered, to no question in particular, or maybe to both. Sex was good. Music was good. Oh god, he sounded like a hippy. "I'll even sit by you. Long as I get to bring Jessie."
He blinked and looked over. "Devi? Yeah. I don't think Devakanya ever says a word." He shrugged.

Harper stared at her awhile and then gave a dramatic sigh, "You no like me, huh? I make you mad? You no talk to me?! Why!! I SORRY!" He cried, throwing his arms around animatedly while he talked. "I ask you daddy what name is. DADDY WAS NAME?" He yelled at Zack, pointing at Dev, totally oblivious he had just said her name like three thousand times.
Sunny was staring with an 'I told you so' look at Soloman, who was staring rather blankly at Zack. "Oh. Dude. I wasn't serious. I've got a girlfriend. Five, actually, but only four of them don't care..." he got lost in thought and ran his hand over his mohawk, then finally snapped back to attention, "Let me guess, Jessie is your guitar. Don't worry, Sunny names his too."
"Charlotte." Sunny promptly replied, his eyes closed he gave an admitting shrug.

Devi watched Harper, totally bewildered. No! No no no! Ah, stop yelling, small boy! She wasn't mad! Panicked, maybe. Frightened, most definitely. Worried, for sure. Flailing and shaking her head, she glanced at her dad for help. Please, explain to the yelling boy it wasn't him. Make him stop yelling, he was so loud and she didn't understand!
Zack snickered, sticking his tongue out at mohawk. "Oh, is that how it is?" he asked, wiggling his eyebrows. "I'm hurt," he mocked, putting a hand over his chest before realizing Harper was screaming at him, not his parents. "...what?" He blinked. "Are you talking about Devi...?" he asked, only half listening to the pair of musicians. "...she can't talk."
He turned back. "Er, yeah. Did that to piss off one of my roommates," he mentioned, sounding a little confused. He had a difficult time splitting his attention between the adults and then children.

"Devi!" Harper repeated with a triumphant squeak, smiling broadly. "You no talk to no one? You mad at everyone?" he asked curiously, somewhat comforted at least that it wasn't just him.
Vying for uncle of the year, Sunny knelt down and put a hand on Harper's shoulders, "No Harper, some people are born without the ability to talk, but that doesn't make them any less intelligent than the rest of -"
"Shut up Sunny." Harper said blankly.
"I told you guys not to teach him that!" Sunny whined while standing up quickly and marching wounded away from the children.
Turning his attentions back on Deva, Harper shook his head, "You really no talk t'all? Why?"
Soloman cocked his head curiously, "Your roommates got mad you named your guitar? Why? Were they named Jessie too? Were they jealous? I've never had a girl get jealous of my drums, they try to make me teach em how to play 'em though..." at that point he moaned as if a bunch of awful memories overtook his consciousnesses.

The unicorn started nodding, pleased the younger boy was finally understand when she comprehended all of what he was saying. What? No! Devakanya shook her head back and forth. She wasn't mad! She was never mad at anyone! She chewed on her lip, trying to think of a way to...of course! She leaned over and plucked a dandelion from the loam, offering it to Harper. That's how Ignacio made peace, right?
Zack watched Sunny and Harper, trying not to snicker. Reasoning with little kids was just...stupid. They didn't have an ounce of reason in them. He turned, shrugging at Solo. "Iunno. Seamus was a weird p***k. Whenever I went out, I told people him and Jessie were having alone time." He chuckled at the memory of a good inside joke. "His girlfriend was slow to catch on."
Devi stared at Harper blankly. How was she supposed to answer that? The best she could do was shrug and look hopelessly pitiful.
