I've been trying for 3 years to lose weight. I did once, and I lost 20 lbs, but gained it back + 10 more. Now that it's my junior year, I waana lose the weight to look average. I'm aroun 240 lbs and 5'11 or 6'0. I have no money to get a gym membership or equipment really.

My habbits::
I eat when bored
I'm lazy
I need really good motivation
I give up easyly


Things i think I do good::
I drink tea, green tea, and water
When I do eat out of boredom, I don't eat alot

That's really about it.


I think it's about 40 or 50 lbs I want to lose to become average weight again. I forget what the average weight is for my height. I know that's alot, but.. I only got a year. if I get close to that, i'll be happy.

Did you go on a diet to lose the weight and then just teeter back to how you ate before after you did? That's the biggest mistake most people make. A diet isn't just something you do to shed a few pounds, it's part of your lifestyle. Eating only non-animal products (vege) is a diet. Eating fast food every day is a diet. You need to make sure you choose a "diet" to lose weight that you could live with for a long time.. like.. forever. :]

Exercise is the same way. A lot of people only exercise to lose weight and don't realize (or don't want to realize) that they have to keep it up after they've lost every ounce they've wanted to.

I use to drink only flavored water and that was it, but I started missing tea and green tea, so now I mainly drink those three now. And yeah, what I did to gain the weight was drinking sodas again.

As for exercising, i don't really know what to do. Running is hard on me due to a bad knee, ankle and i'm majorly flat footed xD. The rest is just a pain to me. I dunno, I love to complain.

I can't run either, due to some weird tumor at the bottom of my foot.
And I also love to complain.

But if you can go for walks, that'd be great. Try to walk instead of eat when you're bored. I eat when I'm bored, too, but walks can be fun, especially if you can bully a sibling or friend into going with you.

If you have a bike, use it. Biking can be really relaxing.

Motivation is difficult. I know. I have no motivation at all. For anything. I just want to stick to my everyday routine. So really, for a few days you're going to exercise and you're going to hate it, and you might want to stop. That's how I was, but I kept at it for a few more days, and it became a habit for me. I would hop on my bike every single night and ride at least three miles, and when I was bored, I'd ride my bike instead of eat.

I was thinking about starting to walk, and since I got a mp3 player, i'll have entertainment. I need new songs, lost my usb cable though xD

Anyway, i'll walk as much as possiable.

If you have access to a pool, swimming doesn't put as much stress on the knees as running does and it's an even better workout (you work your legs AND arms). 3nodding As for boredom eating, GUM!! Sugar-free, of course. Gives you something to chew on instead of some fatty junk food.

Here's something that won't help you lose weight, but might prevent snacking when bored:

Nintendo DS or a GameBoy Advance or something, those are wonderful. Or a pencil and paper.

See, I happen to have quite an active mind, and I require stimulation at all times. Just watching television is impossible for me. I think I'm hungry when I'm actually bored, or I'm bored too much to care that I'm eating more than I should. It's just impossible for me to focus on just the show- I need to be exercising my mind. But if I draw or play sudoku on my DS while I watch tv, I don't snack!

And music is delightful while walking. It really takes all of the boredom out of it.

I don't. Which really sucks majorly cause I want one, as well as a trampolein. The gum part, I don't always have gum.

I play my PS2 when i'm bored, my DS doesn't really have much fun games anymore seeing I beat them all that I ha >.>
I even get bored i'm playing games
IE: Socom, when I die in a non respawn games.. it gets boring cause I gotta wait till the round ends
Otherwise, i'm gonna start walking soon. And I finally found my USB cable for my MP3 plasyer, woot
