It had been a while since Keirro went to a burger joint for lunch. She found fast food places to be disgusting and unclean. Her only reason for going was the little terror that dragged her.
Ranis loved the smell of meat. It made him salivate and nothing sounded more appealing than a big juicy burger, cooked rare of course. His little nose sniffed the air and the toddler wasted no time in shoving others out of line to get in the front. He had no consideration for others when it came to food. He couuld barely grasp the concept of money or that things require a price. He just wanted a god damned burger.
"Twoburrga!" he spat to the cashier.

((Eeeeek, this is gonna be hard. Veive hasn't been introduced to technology. lol ))
Ice walked into the restaurant with a very scared looking Veive in tow. This was their first time together to the main part of town and it was quite obvious that Veive wasn't very comfortable with any of it.
"I know Veive, I promise to not forget to buy food again but for right now we need to eat."
The kitsune girl shot her Guardian an upset look and continued to cling to her hand. In her old world this stuff wasn't even dreamed off yet. No, it was simple with none of this electricity and a lot more magic to make up for it. Her culture also dressed very differently and she was more keenly aware of it now then ever. As other girls about her age (10-12) ran around in shorts and colorful tops she was in a more traditional full length dress and her daggers hung on a leather belt. A few kids bumped into her and she growled slightly which, again, seemed out of place. Ice hurried her over to a both and they sat down opposite each other.
"Why don't you think about what you want then I'll go order it for you?"
Veive sniffed the air distastefully and looked at a few of the tables around them were other kids were shoving fist fulls of what might have been meat into their mouths. "Ummm....I guess, one of those sandwich things? With cheese?"
"A cheeseburger. Okay, do you want fries too?"
Veive shrugged and continued to look around wide eyed. "Sure..."
Ice sighed and got up. She knew it had been a bad idea to come here but they needed to eat and she had forgotten to go shopping this week.

The toddler glared at the strange fox girl. She smelled funny and it didn't sit well with the boy. He was going to get the burger first; no doubt about it. He was prepared to do what was necessary. He could pick up that this girl was somewhat similar to him, but he couldn't understand why.
He watched the girl like a cat, his eyes narrowed and his ears flickered. He was studying her, trying to pick our thier similarities and differences. She had animal ears, but hers were pointy and sat at the top of her head. She was taller than Ranis, but seemed more delicate.
Ranis messed up his black hair in frustration.

Ice left a very pitiful looking Veive alone at the booth and got up to go stand in line. She saw a few kids pointing at Veive with a look of wonder on their faces at her ears and dress before their parents quickly tried to distract them from the strange girl. They were more interested in her daggers and what she was doing with them in a place like this.
Ice tried to keep an eye on her little kitsune as the line began to move, and she soon noticed another child that looked mildly out of place. He had ears also but he didn't look like he minded being in public as much as Veive did. Maybe another Illusion? Well, that meant another Guardian would be near by also and maybe Veive and Ice wouldn't be eating their lunch in a very strained silence after all.

Ranis spat. He could not possibly imagine anyone getting thier food before him. Yet, this woman placed her order calmly as if she owned the place. Keirro calmly placed her order after waiting for Ice to finish her order.
Perhaps, she DID own the place. The boy fell silent, but kept his eyes on the woman. It wasn't wise to challenge a pack leader directly. Perhaps, there were other ways to challenge the woman.

Veive glared at some of the children near by and scowled when she saw someone making fun of her ears. She layed them back against her head and snarled but soon saw Ice looking her way. Stopping her plans to hurt the next child that got in range, she turned her head and looked away.
As Ice's attention returned to the line she was in, she noticed that the little boy had spat on the floor and the woman that had ordered after her seemed to be with him. Looking between the two, Ice smiled gently, if nervously, and wondered if she should ask if the boy was an Illusion of if that might be rude.
