Okay I can honestly admit that as an 18 year old, i am afraid of the dark, which is ironic because i love it at the same time. sweatdrop I will try to explain.
To me there is nothing more terrifying than being in a pitch black room with that sudden surging urge that if you don't get to a light and fast something terrible is going to happen. My heart races and it get extremely anxious. Maybe it's the shadows in my room, maybe it's because of all the creepy movies i watch, or maybe it's because sometimes i get the feeling that there is something in my room. Maybe it's because of that one moring when i woke up, i was sleeping downstairs on the couch to mae sure my two remaining birds were okay after my other bird, their friend, died. (Birds get really attached to each other, and i wanted to make them feel safe.) I woke up and i lifted my head to see what was on tv (i sleep with the tv on) and i went to grab my Teddy bear (don't judge me) and i could move anything, not my arms, legs, i went to scream and no sound came out. It went away a few seconds later. But for whatever reason i don't liek being in a room in total darkness when my eyes havent adjusted yet.
However I do enjoy being out at night, and being outside in the dark.
So my question to you is, what are you afraid of. Don't say nothing because it's a lie.

I thought this thread was about the Nickelodeon show and got excited. Damn.
I'm actually terrified of being in a car at night, although that's a recent development. I got into a bad car accident about two weeks ago, where we hit a PERSON, that's right, a person, not another car, on the freeway, in the dark. He was suicidal or some s**t. Anyway, it's made me basically stop going out at night at all. I'm sure it'll fade eventually, but there ya go.
I'm also not too fond of s**t that can bite me really hard. Like sharks. ******** sharks.
And, sometimes in the dark, I too get carried away and imagine all sorts of stuff being in there with me. It happens to the best of us, I'm sure.

Wow, that sucks. I guess my fear would be heights/falling (lol @ being tall and afraid of heights)

The War Starter I thought this would be about the show. God, I couldn't stand to watch that show as a kid, I was always scared as s**t. crying I was in love with it as a kid. I had my dad tape it for me every Saturday night(since I couldn't stay up that long to watch it when it aired).

Soleri The War Starter I thought this would be about the show. God, I couldn't stand to watch that show as a kid, I was always scared as s**t. crying I was in love with it as a kid. I had my dad tape it for me every Saturday night(since I couldn't stay up that long to watch it when it aired). I liked that show too.

I feel safer in the dark. The only phobia I have is drowning, but I still go swimming all the time and I never get scared while doing it...not much of a phobia I guess. neutral

I used to love that show too...anyway. Yeah when I was younger I used to be scared of the dark, had to have a night light and everything. Then I just got over it. My biggest fear is snakes. Can't stand them.

I'm pretty sure he means he gets nervous around girls. both really, becuase I'm a vergin, (yeah, woopty doo) I do in fact have a "fear" of intimacy...(Yeah, I know weird, I'm fearless when it comes to a gun to my head, or drugs, or anything else, but when a cute girl looks at me, I instantly lose it, and forget whatever I'm doing, their was this chick in my english, and japanese class, she would keep staring at me, I would turn as I felt someone looking at me, and she was right there, just staring, as if I was some demon from hell. I cringed everytime I saw her.))
