Sorry about the spammy title, but it needed to be done. *ahem*
HOLY CRAP OURAN'S BEEN LICENCED.
Normally that would be a good thing. Except for one relativley sad fact.
It was FUNimation.
Which means Hunny is probably going to get the same crappy dub actress and Momiji got. SAD.
However, after seeing the good job they're doing on the One Piece rescue, I have new hope for FUNimation.
FUNimation: They're not as bad as 4Kids. :3
They had better not ruin Tamaki's voice.

I hate dubs too, except on very rare occasions. I'm just hoping Ouran is one of those rare occasions.

Yeah, atleast is wasn't 4Kids.
Now I'm worried about all the other people running around like,
"OMGOMGG DID YOU SEE OURAN LAST NIGHT?!?!?! IT WAS FREAKING AMAZIINNGG. TAMAKI WAS SO HOOTT~~!!"
[ Not that it doesn't happen now, but more of it seems to happen because of English dubs. . . . Or is it just me see it? ]

Heh, they're not gonna put Ouran on TV. I cannot imagine a single channel besides some all-anime channel that would air it. It's not violent enough for Toonami, its not Adult enough for Adult swim, and it's definitley too much for saturday morning cartoons. Just like Suzumiya Haruhi. *sad*
Meh, at least I'll be able to buy dvds of it if I want.

If you lived in Canada, we have bionix. Which im pretty sure would show such an anime. They don't limit themselves by having one specific kind of anime. It varies from things like bleach to I dunno a bunch of kiddie stuff. I don't watch it enough to care cause I to dislike dubs. However your right there are those rare occassions such as Escaflowne. I'd say thats one of the better dubbed animes.

o.o I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing, but I never realized Nami from One Piece and Wrath from FMA have the same voice actor... And now Hunny too... ( sweatdrop ) I also think it's weird how Domeki from xxxHolic and Kyoya have the same voice actor, and Watanuki with... Hikaru?! ....... But I watched the whole series of Ouran in Japanese with subtitles, so I'd like to see how it came out...

Okay, at my last convention they showed the first three episodes. Now, I'm an Ouran cosplayer and was with my friend who also cosplays it. We sat through the first ten minutes and had to leave. It was HORRIBLE.
They dubbed Sakura Kiss and to make things worse none of the VAs really... struck me as the right characters. I love a lot of the VAs but they just weren't in the right roles. Vic didn't seem over-the-top enough and his voice was way too deep and didn't flow like Tamaki's voice is supposed to.
Not to mention that Haruhi's voice is DEEP in it and does not really fit with a more neutral gender type like that. The twins are okay but they could've been a lot closer to one another, Hunny's voice drove me up the wall it was so SCREECHY and LOUD, didn't hear Mori since I left so soon (the guy has like five lines, you know why Vic told them to cast Travis as Mori. Travis and Vic do not get along, see where I'm going?).
Out of what I saw the PRINCESS (who's name escapes me) was the best voice out of them all. I also fear what Nekozawa will sound like since his VA did Isshin Kurosaki from Bleach (I can't picture him voicing Nekozawa), but Kirimi looks promising at least (a little more emotion in the voice she used for Shuffle and it'd be perfect).
Overall I'm highly disappointed with what I saw and here's the kicker. 250 people were there in the beginning, when I went back near the end to line up for the cosplay competition there were MAYBE 20 people left.
