Personality: Maelon isn't the nicest of Sin'aeis, especially not when you first meet him. He doesn't like being nice. Irritable, stubborn, he's only a pain in the a** because he wants to be, and because he finds the world boring. He was really smart as a kid but was never encouraged to do anything with that intelligence, so now everything has become "bothersome" or "not worth his time." Anything that's not worth his time he ignores. To him, the most boring thing possible is listening to people he regards as stupid talk, and so that's usually who he ignores. This tends to get him into more trouble than he really wants, but he's willing to deal with the repercussions if it means he doesn't have to listen to uninteresting people talk. He has a hard time getting interested in anything, simply because he always turns it down before he's even started. While this could be considered as cowardice or an unwillingness to try new things, Maelon defines it as "knowing when to quit." He's never had to try hard to do anything, and he's definitely not about to start now.

While he's not really a temperamental kid, he's usually quite plain about his emotions, especially when he's irritated. He's very blunt, and not afraid of saying what he thinks. Maelon doesn't beat around the bush. That would involve too many words - not to mention complicate things - and words and complications are bothersome. If he doesn't like you, you'll be the first to know about it. He won't waste his time spreading gossip or telling rumours. He'd rather just tell you and get it over with. But just because he likes being difficult doesn't mean he can't try and co-operate from time to time. He does have a small ounce of love in him (he can be begrudgingly affectionate, mainly to his pet spider and Yuki), but he doesn't like flaunting it in public. He's also mended his relationship with Pryderi (and even somewhat with Akilah), demonstrating that he can tolerate people in his personal space, as well as be somewhat polite and well-behaved in social situations. Still, he prefers to be by himself with his camera or his sketchpad, enjoying the silence and taking lots of pictures. He's very quiet, very closed off, and he likes to swear. A lot.

As the years have gone by, Maelon hasn't changed much. He's become slightly more tolerant, though only because it's too bothersome to put up a fight. On the other hand he'd become much more a**l, fretting about even the slightest changes in his carefully-made schedule. For instance, there MUST be grapefruit juice for him to drink in the morning otherwise he has to drink orange juice and god forbid he had to drink orange juice. It would just mess up his entire day and then he would have to be grouchier than usual. That thought aside, he still would like to appear tough however he usually just comes off as a sulky teen (sadly). Piercings have helped his image a little, but the girl's jeans and tight clothing have brought him back down to original level. It's just a lose-lose situation. Now in his teen years, Mae finds himself extremely grossed out (and embarrassed, but shh don't tell) by anything sexual in nature, especially breasts (you can thank Akilah for promoting this). We're just hoping puberty sets in sometime in the future.

Personality:
To most who've only met him, Havok has a rather quiet, systematic nature with a very clever, creative mind. He is easily fascinated by difficult riddles and codes, devoting months upon months to study in order to crack them. However, his thirst for a challenge goes even beyond this, this aspect of his character leading him to become a thief. But not just a petty pickpocket. Havok would never stoop so low as to just take money. It would be far too easy. Enticed by heavily protected artefacts or precious items, he spends most of his time planning complex ways of reaching his target and taking what he wants. Only if the security excites him and proves to be even the slightest bit challenging will he give the item back. Otherwise, it's his to keep. As far as he's concerned, what is his is his to be protected; what is yours he can steal, unless caught.

Very attentive to detail, it's rare that anything gets passed him unnoticed, whether he makes a comment on it or not. His attention to his surroundings comes from his inclination to quiet places, where he can crack his codes in silence without interruptions. If it's anything he can't stand, it's being interrupted in the middle of his work. Severely lacking patience, not only for disruptions, his supposed reserved nature disappears in an instant when someone gets on his nerves. While for the most part he can keep his calm facade in place, it's not rare to see him explode and engage himself in a verbal sparring match. And if it's anything he loves more than a good riddle, it's a good verbal match. Perhaps the only way to win his respect is to play along in his game, and either win against him, or at least give him something to think about. Goodness knows we don't want to bore our good friend Havok.

Even with his need for a good challenge, Havok has never considered himself nasty. While he does sometimes test the line of unkindness, he would never go so far as to kill someone or something unless it was absolutely necessary. He takes it quite offensively when people speak of him as just a cruel, heartless thief, when the real reason behind his stealing is the craving for a challenge. Havok is usually very understanding, loving social gatherings and places where his refined and rather seductive nature can draw attention to himself. To say he is an attention whore would be putting it lightly. Surprisingly, he is actually very romantic, often choosing difficult lovers and attempting to win them over for years at a time. While his morals aren't exactly top class, he prefers not to think of himself as a bloodthirsty psycho. After all, where would all the fun be in that?

Yukito: Yukito, the white chocolate Sin'aeis, and Mae have been friends since the start. Yuki's kind and extremely friendly nature have brought out some of Maelon's nicer qualities, and seeing his friend always seems to put the dark chocolate boy in a better mood. He, along with Yuki and Chaco, make up the three chocolate element Sins. Though Mae is the most temperamental and unkind of the three (being the dark chocolate), he is at ease around Yuki, and trusts that the white chocolate boy has the best intentions. He hasn't seen Yuki since he was a kid. Friend.

Flitch: Flitch the fish Sin'aeis and Maelon met up when both of them were very young, and Mae can barely remember what he looks like. What he does remember is their shared love of books, and that they played games together during their meeting. They got along well as toddlers, but that isn't really saying much since Mae was a much happier toddler than he is a happy child. The dark chocolate boy is interested in meeting him again, so long as Flitch still likes books. Acquaintence.

Lyrus: After an initial meeting that went over well, Lyrus and Maelon's second meeting proved that they were still on good terms with each other. Both seem to respect each other's wishes and interests despite their differences. Lyrus seems to deal quite well with conflict, something Maelon is mildly jealous of. He is not jealous of Lyrus's charm with the ladies, and is glad that he was a willing distraction for Becky. Ally.

Jack: While the two got off to a bit of a rocky start, Jack and Mae managed to team up in order to avoid getting caught by the police. Both seem to attract trouble wherever they go, however they both seem quite competent in terms of weaseling themselves out of it. Maelon is a bit wary of the boy who carried so many deadly contraptions under his hat, but he's glad that at least Jack is on his side and not against him. That steel wool hurt. Ally.

Chaco: The creator of all Sin'aeis, and Maelon's sort of only not brother, Maelon doesn't exactly feel a connection to the other chocolate Sin. They seem to get along okay, but Chaco is a bit boring for the redhead's taste. He uses um possibly more than Mae does, though he does have a cool android from another dimension. Acquaintence.




Akilah: Ooooh boy. This is complicated. Akilah the chicken Sin'aeis was the first girl that Maelon met, and his first real enemy. The two originally started off on semi-friendly terms, until there was quite a rift in the way the pair thought and a fight broke out. The fight didn't last very long, but it sealed their relationship then and there. The dark chocolate boy's strong dislike of birds spawned from her element, as well as his dislike of girls. Recently, Mae and Kilah met in the woods, and fought it out again, uninterrupted. The battle seemed to set them on more even terms, maybe even giving Mae a little respect for the blind bird. Whatever the battle did, Mae only really finds her mildly irritating, and instead of picking fights with her, has settled for ignoring her. She just happens to keep appearing in his life, traumatizing him with her large bosom and rough nature. He's not entirely sure what he thinks of her, but he does avoid her at all costs. Somewhat tolerated, generally avoided.

Mignon: Mignon was Mae's second run-in with a girl, and what a strange one it was. The Sin'aeis actually went looking for him (in Chibi's forest) because she wanted to meet him! The dark chocolate Sin was quite surprised at this, and that already gave her a couple brownie points. She was incredibly friendly, and seemed completely unphased by Maelon's aloof temperament. What sealed their strange friendship was Mignon's interest in Kitten, Mae's tarantula. The other Sin even went as far as petting the furry spider! Maelon was quite impressed. They don't seem to have as much in common anymore, but Maelon still sees her as someone worth talking to. Friend.

Ancelin: Maelon met Ancelin only briefly when he was invited over to her protector's house. It wasn't the best meeting, however he can't say he dislikes her. There were too many other people at the party for Mae to decide whether or not she was annoying or if it was just the general vicinity. He'll hold his judgement until a later date when he can get to know her better. Acquaintence.

Orenda: Maelon met the mushroom child at the pet store. She was just a baby, and thus didn't exactly do much, but he thought she was pretty funny looking. He also suggested pets for her, most of which were bugs. We'll have to see what happens between them later when she can talk. Acquaintence.

Sjajan: Though their initial meeting was rather boring, it appears that Jan has the same knack for leading Maelon into trouble that Akilah has. After being coaxed into coming along on a camping trip, he was then called over to Jan's apartment and became her rather unwilling sidekick/arsonist when they blew up a man-eating plant. Not to mention she decided to take her shirt off once they were finished. Decision: do not come and see him until he's finished his two weeks of therapy. No idea.
