Name - Akilah Ann Kther Nicknames - Kilah, Lala (used by Mignon as children), Kiki (used by an islander as children) Date of Birth - 02/17/05 Age - 17 Race - Sin'aeis Gender - Female
Height - 5'4" Weight - Estimated 130 Skin Color - Pale Eye Color - None, Kilah lost her eyes as a child. When she had them, they were yellow, the pupils particularly small. Hair Color - Orange-ish red, with streaks of blond/yellow. Distinguishing Features - Brown feathers up and down both arms.
Likes - Cricket, gems, power, quiet places, (soft) music, her sword and daggers, birds Dislikes - Flowers, crowds, alcohol, Aard, being blind, the island, whiners, babies Fears - Any body of water. Lakes, oceans, etc.
Personality - Thinking? Who needs to do that when you have a sword to swing around? Akilah would rather maul someone first, ask questions...never. It's rare she thinks things through at all, and many have accused her (with her out of hearing range) of being dumb. Which she very well may be.
Even if she isn't as stupid as she can come off as, there's no debating she's 'obnoxious', to put it nicely. Every other word out of her mouth is a curse the majority of the time, and she's loud about it. Which makes her a bit of a hypocrit, since she claims loud things are '******** annoying'. Crowds, in particularly, ruffle her feathers. Too many footsteps and voices that make it hard to tell where she's going.
Like many people never forget a face, Akilah never forgets a voice. She does, however, forget the name and person that goes along with that voice on rare occasion. The people who Akilah never forgets a thing about are aquired enemies or one of her few friends, and since most tend to land themselves in either of those categories after just one run-in with the Sin'aeis, her forgetting someone is uncommon.
While she has at times claimed it to be a flaw she needs to shake herself of, those select individuals in Akilah's good graces get her fierce loyalty. Unfortunately for them, she's very awkward about her friendships or bonds, and tends to act more like the other person is an owned possession.
Overall, as anyone would be in her shoes, Akilah is extremely unhappy (or 'pissed off', in her words).
Abilities: (Note: This are not self-learned skills, but the the Sin'aeis abilities she's been given.)
- Akilah has the ability to 'sense' the presence of anyone near her, no matter how quiet they are. This applies to man and beast alike.
- Akilah has the ability to play musical notes on gems or stones. It is rarely used anymore.
- Akilah has the ability to create 'doors' from one place to another. As of this moment, she can only have one open at a time, but can open and close it extremely quickly.

Yeliel is an island who's only inhabitants are a race of fox-anthro people who strive for sameness. The island was created by a Goddess who named her creation after herself. It is her creed that this sameness remain untainted, no matter what the cost. The people have purple hair, tan skin, and light eyes of either yellow, blue or green. There are no deaf, blind, mute or handicapped. Those that are born with any sort of defect (including a different appearence) are to be immediatly eliminated without question via the volcano.
There is also no illness on Yeliel, thanks to a potion that is force-fed to babies the day they are born until they are a year old. (This potion is created and supplied by a mermaid named 'Remedy' who has a secret alliance with Yeliel herself). It prevents any sort of sickness. However, it greatly shortens lifespan, and the average age of the island people is only about 26 years of age.
The people are strictly vegetarian, eating only fruits and other things they can grow. This is not an optional thing, since the island harbors no animal life. At one point, small creatures, ones that appeared to be some strange cross of a weasel and cat, called 'Cera', dwelled there, but they have all since died or been transported to Gaia.
For many years, those who were on the island were unaware that a world outside of it exsisted. They are now ready to except Akilah as their ruler, under the promise she can free them from the stranglehold of the demanding Goddess.

Noyama receives Akilah, who is a sweet and normal baby, aside from some of her Sin'aeis traits. A few weeks after her arrival to her new home, Akilah is kidnapped by two people who look very similar to her 'mother'. With the help of another Sin'aeis guardian, Jeane, Noyama manages to retrieve her daughter, under the agreement they also take an unsual egg along.
However, Akilah begins to act very differently. Although she was boarderline mute before, she screams and cries and violently lashes out at anything near her. Noyama also observes her run into things when crawling and waving her hands around an unusual amount. Musing if the Sin'aeis could be blind, Noyama takes her to Chaco who confirms Akilah's new handicap. Noyama finds it odd Akilah didn't act as though she couldn't see prior to being stolen.
At this age, Akilah also becomes friends with Lyrus and Mignon. Now a toddler, Akilah is very angry. She often throws tanturms at things that would only minorly irratate most small children. She also developes a desire to make others miserable and destroy things, especially flowers, which she often and avidly seeks out to rip to shreds around the mansion where Chaco lives.
An unsual boy as well as the future ruler from Yeliel, Momoro, shows up at Gaia, having seen Akilah when she was a baby. He claims to be captivated by her different appearence, and demands he be able to marry the Sin'aeis when she's old enough. Hesitantly, Noyama agrees.
The mysterious egg given to them earlier hatches into a griffin companion, about the size of a large dog, who Akilah names Gizmo. Later, Momoro tells Akilah that, if one is willing to sacrafice enough, the Goddess Yeliel will grant anything they desire. Desperately wishing for her sight, Akilah returns to the island with Gizmo's assistance.
She finds no Goddess, but does meet her aunt (Noyama's twin sister), Noharu, who is the 'right-hand (wo)man' to the islands current ruler. The two attempt to drown Akilah, but she is saved by Gizmo and again returns home. Akilah is now a child. She gives up on getting her sight back, and instead focuses on gaining something else: Revenge. Momoro explains that the island is not happy about having someone as different as Akilah rule along side him in the future. He also tells her that her blindness is the fault of those who captured her as an infant, though how they accomplished it is still a mystery.
Having taken an interest in magic, Akilah one day attempts to cast a spell on her (very much loathed) sister, Twila. For unknown reasons, the magic backfires. Akilah is possessed by the spirit of a bubbly, loving girl. Luckily, she is easily over-powered, and Akilah keeps her exsistance quiet from everyone but her mentor, Lucky, and secretly tries to rid herself of the invading spirit.
Akilah developes a crush on Jaxom, one of Lyrus's brothers. Unfortunately for her, 'Nice Kilah', as she had been dubbed, developed one as well, only far stronger, that lingers long after Akilah claims to be over hers. The previous island ruler dies, rumors spreading like wildfire that he was murdered. Now saying it's safe for her to be there, Momoro invites Akilah (and Gizmo) to the island, declaring to his people that she will be by his side in the future. While she still lacks any interest in Momoro, the appeal of power, wealth and fame is not one she can resist.
Another run-in with Noharu reveals the prior ruler was in fact killed. By her. Noharu's 'orientation' lies with other women, not men, and as the story goes she fell in love with the fiance to the previous ruler. It was not love that bound the two of them, however, but rather the demand the ruler had for an heir. Noharu offered to take the other womans place in creating one, and the offer was accepted. But the baby was born blind, and thus killed.
Noharu had obeyed the man's orders for many years, long after his fiance had run off, waiting until the opportunity to kill him came along. With a group of islanders ready to rebel against Akilah's future rule, she attacks her and Gizmo. The Goddess Yeliel appears, managing to slaughter all of the opposing group but Noharu herself, claiming they are tainting her island.
Akilah is fine, but Gizmo is gravely injured. The Sin'aeis offers 'anything' in exchange for the Goddess saving him. Yeliel says she will do so for the price of her eyes, and Akilah agrees and her eyes are torn out before she is viciously mauled by the Goddess as well and thrown into the ocean to die. Gizmo is not saved.
---Teen Quest---
Akilah is saved by a mermaid named Remedy. Remedy explains she was partners with Yeliel, the one who creates the potions to void illnesses. She says Yeliel has threatened to destroy her, and thus she wishes to destroy the Goddess first. Such a thing begins, the mermaid tells her, with revealing all the secrets Yeliel has.
She takes Akilah to another island full of blind, death and mute individuals originally born on the island of Yeliel. Those with these disabilities were not killed, but snuck away to another location. Even though they are alive, they are not raised as people, but as warriors. They eat, sleep, train, and repeat, never abandoning the cycle under the threat of the Goddess killing them.
Remedy tells the story of how the island had many types of people who eventually went to war with each other. Yeliel is not a Goddess, but rather a very powerful mage who slaughtered all but those who resembled herself, even those uninvolved in the violence, claiming that there will be peace as long as everyone is the same.
Concerned that one day someone may rebel against her, Yeliel began training those who were born 'tainted' to fight for her. She lied and told those on the second island the it was the first island who wanted to kill them, not her, and that she had saved them, but would only continue to nurture them if they agreed to be her army.
Upon reaching the second island, both Akilah and Remedy explain and after some hardship convince the people that the Goddess is just a lying, greedy mage. Akilah begins to train under a woman named Sharosha, a powerful blind warrior, and gives up on any magic. Akilah becomes a teenager.
The day comes when Momoro arrives on the island, and tells Akilah she's had a silent enemy beside her all along. Him. The two clash swords. As they do so, Momoro explains the situation further. There was one blind baby that had been actually been killed. The nameless blind daughter of Noharu. Goddess Yeliel had felt senselessly threatened by her heir status.
And underground organization attempting to overthrow the Goddess took her fear as something reasonable. They wondered if there was something special about the baby that had frightened Yeliel. Being magic-users themselves, the group summoned the soul of the dead heir. The soul needed a vessel.
If they took a baby from the island, it would not go without notice. The Goddess also may have found out, and then killed the baby carrying the heirs soul. That was why they picked Akilah. Noyama had known there was more land than just theirs, and had gone to Gaia. Akilah was kidnapped, the heirs soul was placed inside her body, and her current soul was put into a deep sleep.
Akilah's poor use of magic when trying to put a spell on her sister had somehow countered the spell the mage on the island had used, and the other soul was awakened. 'Nice Kilah' was, in reality, the real Akilah, where as Akilah herself was the soul of the slaughtered heir.
Yeliel did find out about the plans, and that Akilah was the chosen vessel. She created Momoro herself to use in ruining the scheme.
The fight ended with Momoro's death. After an entire two weeks alone, Akilah decided she would not allow herself to be taken over by the other spirit, even if it was the one originally intended for the body. Using magic just one more time, she reapplied the 'sleeping' spell, and claimed to any who were aware of the exsistance of the 'other' Akilah she had combined their souls.
When she returns home, she discovers Lucky is long gone, leaving no answer as to why.
Noyama and a long-time friend, Pukio, set up an engagement between Akilah and Pukio's son, Ryker, also a Sin'aeis. Upon reaching an opporiate age, the two will take the island over.

Name - Lilly Ghardian Nicknames - N/A Date of Birth - Unknown Age - 23 Race - Human Gender - Female
Height - 5'7 Weight - Unknown Skin Color - Pale Eye Color - Red Hair Color - Pink Distinguishing Features - A scar the palm of her left hand, three scars on her back.
Likes - Dragons, food, weapons, money, Muffin Dislikes - Children, Al, violence toward dragons Fears - Dilanda
Bio - Her father abandoned her mother, and her mother shoved her new bundle of joy at her sister and took off. A natural born leader, Lilly was always the one taking charge in childhood games played with her four older cousins. One can only be content to play for so long, however, and at the tender age of 16 she announced she would strike out on her own. Finding her niece to be far more trouble than she was worth (describing her as 'a terror'), her aunt gladly gave her permission and off Lilly went.
Two years passed. Lilly bounced from job to job, never staying in one place too long. A few days after her 18th birthday, she met a man named Dilanda. The two began talking. He spoke of a war, one in which it was humans vs. dragons. Immediatly, Lilly volunteered to join the battle. While she harbored no hard feelings toward dragons (even after Dilanda explained the war began because they started slaughtering humans), the adventure of the battefield felt like it was all she had been looking for.
As many in her situation eventually come to realize, entering a war is more of a horror than any sort of adventure. This reality struck Lilly after a paritulcarly harsh battle against a vicious 'class S' dragon. The exchange for the fight was one of her eyes, gaining four permanent scars, and the knowledge of something she would rather have never known.
Bleeding to death, slowly by surely, Lilly stumbled past the dragons corpse in search of help. She came across a egg, and it hit her that the creature had only been trying to protect it's young. For the first time in her life, Lilly felt guilty. In the hospital, she overheard Dilanda and another man talking. The war had been started on a lie. The dragons had never harmed anyone. Dilanda wished to train them for his own purposes, but since the older ones were too old to be tamable, he slaughtered the mothers in order to take their eggs and raise those instead.
But Dilanda never got the egg of the dragon that had hospitalized Lilly to begin with. She did. The tiny, white creature can now be found on her shoulder by the name 'Muffin'. The woman ran off with him, eventually settling in Gaia where she became a teacher at an organization called D-Corp for nearly a year before leaving there as well.
Personality: Lilly is loud, rude and overall obnoxious. Not kind of of girl you'd want to bring home to mother, despite being married (and divorced) three times already. Being more spontaneous than even Akilah has landed her in trouble more than once, making enemies along the way. 'Outgoing' seems to light a word for someone who pesters and pries into the business of everyone. Truthfully, she generally does it for the sake of her own amusement, and rarely cares otherwise. A constant exception is a dragon being involved, especially Muffin. Lilly is fiercely protective of the large beasts, even if the fondness isn't mutual.
Her hatred for children and lack of tact are two more reasons to dislike her, but if there's anything one can compliment her on, it's that she always has a story to tell.

[Images Pending] Noyama: Akilah's assigned 'protector', and, according to the standard family tree, mother. A 17-year-old from Yeliel. While Akilah has never seemed to outright hate her, the relationship has never been a strong one. Because of how flighty Noyama is, and her poor English, Akilah tends to dub her as stupid and brush off any opinion she has.
Sango: A human, and the first 'daughter' of Noyama. She played a big role in Akilah's young life as the 'big sister' the Sin'aeis came to despise, but months ago she left to go 'fight evil', as Akilah puts it, and they haven't crossed paths since then.
Twila: A permenant 12-year-old (physically), but it doesn't keep Twila from flirting like crazy. She sets the standards for family hatred in Akilah's book, easily the most detested of the lot. The relationship was bad from the beginning. Akilah actually tried to drown her as a baby, and was stopped by Mignon.
Kotoki: A breathing form of 'anti-love', Akilah and Kotoki's relationship can be described as 'interesting'. As children they often fueded , both with words and fists, but like Sango, Akilah hardly interacts with him anymore.
Harper: Not at all happy with Harper's arrival into the household, especially because she looks so much like her, the two became enemies fast and the bond still stands. Fortunately, Harper is not one to argue, especially not in a violent way, so their problems have been kept to a minimum.
