Have you ever been into hospital? Love it, hate it? What about the food? gonk My local hospital is horrid when it comes to food X_X

I've been to the hospital a few times. I had seizures when I was a baby, from the time I was 3 months old to three years old. I had to go to the hospital for that, but I don't remember it. The last time I had to go to the emergency room I just remember the bed being REALLY small. I had an IV in my wrist and I was trying not to roll over it or off the bed. It wasn't very comfortable. I've never had a surgery or anything, so I haven't had to stay overnight and eat food or any of that.

I hate the hospital. Last time I was there it was because I could barely breathe/swallow. I sat in the ER waiting room for three hours crying and feeling like I was going to die. sweatdrop I finally got in the room, and there was a guy who got in a car accident. He had broken ribs and legs. He was moaning, talking to himself, and it really creeped me out.
Basically, the hospital makes me feel really sad. Especially when you go there to see a loved one in a bed. Yeah, that is the worst.

The two most recent times I have been to the Hospital it has been because my mom had heart surgery and because my husband had pneumonia and almost died. So needless to say I really hate the hospital. Mom and husband are both fine now and all. But I agree with Lenxivy...hospitals are depressing. But I entertain no complaints about the food at my local hospital because my grandmother works in dietary at our hospital. So when people complain about the food at the hospital here in town I always tell them they better watch what they say lol. And honestly, the big reason why hospital food mostly sucks is because of the way they have to make it. No salt, no spice, and cooked to death. They have to make sure they don't put anything in it that might aggrivate patients et. al. and they have to really really guard against food poisoning. So the meat gets cooked to death with no flavour of any kind lol. So I can understand why people complain.

Indeed, hospital can be depressing, my grandad died in my local one in March but I still have to go regularly so I try and forget that little fact confused The kid's wards aren't to bad...least the have a bit of life but sorry to say Mewkey, the food at mine is terrible xp For dinner I once got a plate of cold, runny, mixed veg and a pat of butter neutral ...

my mom was in the one time for food poisoning. I hated coming to visit because for one thing hospitals have a chemical like scent and another, you could hear all the sick people coughing and what not. hospitals make me sad. gonk domokun

I have been there only twice in my life... (so I am told)
I remember dislocating my wrist... and The room smelled horrible! (x-ray room)
I have never broke a bone! WOW! I hate going near one. Reminds me of death. It is so depressing!

I've had several hospital stays and I think it's universally accepted that all hospital food is supposed to suck.
With one exception.
Did you know there's a special VIP menu? It's offered only to the most elite guests who stay in PRIVATE rooms that are secluded from the rest of the peasantry? The hospital in which my mother worked actually had lobster on the menu!
My husband learned quickly to bring me veggie sandwiches from Subway. I was never on a special diet, and the smell of the food would make me sick.

eek neutral I was in a private room, same menu...then again it was a general hospital xp Thank God I didn't have to pay heart

Hehe, I was at the hospital often when I was little.. Always had problems with my ears and such.. I don't like hospitals.. But I think its super that there are hospitals XD

I've been to the hospital lots of times, but never for an overnight stay. I've had virtually every medical test imaginable. I've had an awake ekg, a sleep ekg, blood tests, catscans, x rays, eye tests, and an ultrasound of my kidneys. I've seen so many specialists that I've lost count of how many I've seen. They also tested me for marfans syndrome once too.
