I wanted to start this thread for us to reveal our daily revelations... not necessarily religions, just things that we just realized today. I realize something new every day... from the mundane to the amazing and now I have a place to put these thoughts! Hell... maybe I can even share my revelation with someone else who gives a damn. biggrin I'll start it off here, and dump off a few that I've been stockpiling.
Today I realized:
Art is only taken seriously by others if the creator TREATS it seriously. For instance, I can brush out a painting and if I consider it crap, then no one else will take notice. But if I put effort into it and act like it's one of the most important things of my life, then others will take notice.
Within Gaia, you make a lot twice as much gold as bumping and it takes less time. Not to mention, you're actually giving your opinion instead of taking up space.
You must envision your IDEAL job before you will ever find it. Seems obvious, but often I look for the jobs that are available and never think about what I would love to be doing. Know any positions open for a corporate toy buyer or an anime licensing consultant?
People who make polls and don't put a "don't know" or "poll whore" option automatically ruin the results. (Same goes for any survey)

I've realized that no matter how idealistic you can be about life, life always takes control, no matter what.
If you allow a person to get control of your heart, they can do anything to you, no questions asked, and you will let them.
Knowing something that you've made another promise to tell still hurts you if it hasn't been revealed yet.
Oh, here's a good one. Life sucks. Just not for me right now.

Life is total chaos and our happiness depends on what we choose to organize out of the chaos.
Gaia is a horrible waste of time but I get enjoyment from the interaction & the fact that it makes my workday go by so quickly....

No matter how well you plan, there's always the opportunity to screw up along the way.

As friendly as someone can appear to be, you still don't know everything about them.
You can have friends for years and not learn a single new thing that is noticable or "worth" mentioning... and can have friends that astound you each day you meet. Usually the last few days you will definently be meeting a friend are the most twisted things you will learn of them.
Not only do people like to argue, they like to repeat themselves often... even when you point this out. xd
Sometimes what doesn't appear so great to you that you have done could actually brighten someone elses day up. A simple comic may make you feel accomplished, yet be funnier to someone that hasn't seen such a thing before, as example.

I've basicaly come to grips with the fact that no matter how much you know about anything, there will always be something you missed. It's really just a matter of knowing that you don't know anything, and going from there. Socrates rocks.

No matter how much you know, you still live in an infinite universe, so there are still infinite more things to learn.
It's a bittersweet situation.

Friends make horrible roommates. Friends who are roommates together make horrible friends.
You never know who you're talking to on Gaia. Could be a 10 year old, could be a 60 year old... could be a yak herder from Tibet.
Our society is currently in the first stages of the great "Information Age." The current goal is to collect every tiny piece of information and post it online. In the information age, information = money & power.
Misery is contagious.

I worry too much, about all the wrong things.
No matter how beautiful, kind, caring, loving, wonderful or amazing a woman is, she's still a woman. And she can still break your heart.
People hate christians.
Christians hate ....stuff...
White Males are the new minority. And I, being a white male, think that's pretty damn funny.
no one ever said revelations have to be affective to everyone.
