Well I know what some of your hobbies are, some like reading, some like baking cookies, what do others like to do?

I'm a big reader, I also write on occasion, sometimes swing swords around with friends. However the, hobby that consumes most of my time and energy is Warhammer Fantasy.

(No I didn't paint those, but I play that army.)

I collect models, build them, paint them, and send them off to war in a large army against other people with other armies. I play Bretonnians (pictured above) and Woodelves.

Eventually I will take digital pics and show off my collection. Or as I like to call it. "The Grand Army of The Republican."

Suprisingly this republican has 2 armies that have no soldiers who carry guns.

Heh; that's awesome! My twin wanted to get into those, but he never got around to painting his and somehow lost them. Pity- I would have wanted to. blaugh

Well, most people here know I take martial arts, which I love doing. Besides that, I spend most of my time reading.

I guess I'll say some of my lesser known hobbies, too. I like building model rockets, but I haven't had a chance to do that in a while. Astronomy is awesome, and my dad has a really good telescope. hmm...I used to play video games a lot, especially first person shooters, but school sort of took up my time. On a completely different note, I like cooking.

There's something else I'm forgetting, but that's about it. ^^;;;

It's not going well though. Doing heels from the toe up is a pain in the butt.

I also like video games, and reading. (Just finished Harry Potter over the weekend XD ) And I like concerts, and silly adventures... and I'm trying very hard not to get into marine fish tanks.

...Very hard.

Yeah I can see how that would be time consuming getting into.

Not to mention my expensive string problem. (ie, knitting..)

You should try making wool, it's not expensive or anything it's just FRIGGIN DISGUSTING to do it the old fashion, pre-industrial way.

Oh yeah, I did a gig at a living history museum. I have done awful things for money at that place, making wool from fleece was just one of them.

Not really. I mean, I'd have to find it, and do stuff to it to make the stinky lanolin go away, and dye it and spin it all myself. And wool done by hand like that is always scratchy and yucky.

I like working with lots of fibers besides wool anyway. (omg baby alpaca. heart ) And wool-blends, which are usually easier to take care of.

I really need to get my hands on bamboo yarn too. That stuff is amazing.

Well that stuff to make the lanolin (the fatty grease that covers the wool on fresh fleece) is taken off with ammonia. It's just grease, simple ammonia grease cutter works.

Now to get ammonia the old fashioned way is pretty easy... first you get urine and let it sit out in the sun in buckets. After about a day or two you take the stuff and pour it in a large tub and add the fleece.

Should I continue, or did you just throw up a little?

Remember, I survived a living history museum, I've done horrible horrible things for money. My character was Solomon Franco, a Spanish Jew who came to the Bay Colony of Massachusetts to teach the hebrew to the puritans. However, he converted to Christianity from "overwhelming pressure."

Yeah I got to make wool, pine tar and charcoal.

Did you card it and spin it to?

Yes and no...

I could card the rolag but I didn't have the technique of skill to use a drop spindle.
