He was free!
Well, sort of...He was lucky enough to have persuaded his Uncle and Aunt to escort his daughter back to her mother. Little Honey had been in his company for a while and although he enjoyed it Yei had a point when she informed him that she needed to see her mother two. That was the only problem with accidental pregnancies...neither Biscuit or Lovey were mates and lived in differently areas - dividing time equally between the babies had proved tiring.
As proud as he was of his little midgets, he had to admit they cut into his social life a bit.
He had positively beamed when Yei had offered to take care of his daughter, apparently she had been aware of his frustration at being held down too much. He was young after all and with such a bubbly personality the thought of being unable to meet others and enjoy pleasant conversation was a little upsetting. Alas, the world loved him and he was free!
He couldn't help but strut as he navigated his way through the clearing, tracing his steps beside the river as he went. Tail held high and eyes bright, he wasn't in the slightest bit concerned by the somewhat dull and cloudy sky over head.
It would get sunny later on!

Standing beaneath a willow tree, Ju looked down at her feet. There were ants crawling along her hoofs, making a path out of them instead of going around it as an obstacle.
After a few minutes of watching them, she raised her head and looked out along the lands in front of her. It was a somewha gloomy day, the majority of the sky covered with clouds, but it seemed to fit her mood today. She wasn't necessarily in a bad mood, but the cloudy weather rather made her feel comfortable. Perhaps the weather changed with her mood...
As she looked around her, she decided she would try to find a place where there was water. She had gotten a bit thirsty, and the walk would be nice. Moving forward, her thick black tail dragged behind her, and the bracelets around her ankles jingled.

Clip. Clop. Clip. Clop.
Tracing a stream didn't really require much thought and so the stallion had taken to admiring his own reflection. Every now and again he would come to a halt and would give his mane a little shake. Encouraging the blond strands to fluff up and the curls to spring in accordance with each movement. While some might joke that children gave an adult grey hairs he was proud to find that he had not been the same.
He was young at heart and so were his kids!
Striking a pose briefly at his own thoughts, he flicked his tail lazily against an itch on his flank and began to move once more. Coming to a halt only when he caught the faintest sound in his ears - a light 'jingle' of sound that made him cant his head. He'd only ever know about two soquili that could do that and with a small snort he turned his head towards the sound.
...It didn't sound like the two he knew and the stride seemed, different?
Tally-ho!
Opting to move towards the sounds in question he couldn't help but wonder if this was what his Auntie had described as a 'Nymph' - apparently they were exceptionally rare and enjoyed games. He would rather enjoy a good game!

Still glancing down at her feet every now and then, Ju walked along the grass in search of a pond or stream where she could get a drink. Glancing up at the sky, she noticed that the sun was starting to peek out from behind the cover of the clouds. She squinted a bit and lowered her eyes back to the ground. As she did so, the emerging sun glinted on her golden headpiece and cast a reflection onto the ground. She stopped in her tracks and looked around.
"What was that?" she called out into the empty space around her. Perhaps she was seeing things? She could have sworn something just passed in front of her. Looking to both sides of her one more time, she continued on.
As she came to the crest of a small hill, she could see water glinting in the distance. She smiled, quite proud of herself for having found some water in such an expansive place. She shook her thick tail once before moving towards the water, he bangled ankles still jingling.

"What was...what?" Biscuit couldn't help himself. He had woven back and forth in search of the odd jingling to the point that he had found himself wandering in a circle. Coming out from the trees on her right hand side, his walk was somewhat slow and sultry but only because he had little intention of moving faster.
He'd long since lost his strut in favour of trying to find the sound. Strutting was a little slow, gliding (even at this pace) made things easier. It had been with the glint of something ahead of him that he had opted to move in that direction. What he had seen though...
Well, he had been rather stunned to say the least. Having never met a soquili with a horn before, nor with such exotic jewellery he could do little more than stare for a while until she had seemingly spoken to herself. As a matter of principle (and manners) he had chosen to reveal himself as opposed to remaining hidden. He didn't want to scare the poor mare after all.

She stopped dead in her tracks once again as she heard something stirring in the trees beside her. She stood completely still, only moving her eyes to look beside her. If she stood still, whatever it was wouldn't see her, right? Though, in reality, she was ridiculously obvious with her white and gold in contrast to the pale summer environment.
But when the stallion exited the trees, she gasped and turned her whole body to face him, holding her head low, instinctively pointing her golden horn right at him.
"Who are you, and what do you want?!"

"Hooo, hey now hold up!" Pausing instantly in his tracks as the horn was brandished, he raised a brow at her defensive behaviour and shook his head. Perhaps he hadn't been loud enough in his approach, hadn't given her ample warning and that was why she acted so hostile. As pleasant as he was, he wasn't stupid enough to prance over and squeal his 'hello' either...he didn't have a death wish and those horns were pretty sharp.
"Ye dinnae have te try and murder me, I jes' be hearin' somethin' mighty strange so I came te say hello," He explained, his tone genuine as he lowered his hoof to the ground and took a few steps back to provided her with a greater distance. Maybe if he gave her more personal space she might came down and not maul him through a misunderstand.
"I wasn't meanin' te scare ye, sorry."

She maintained her defensive position for a few moments, then, her eyes darting around her for a second, she relaxed and glared a bit at the stallion before her.
"Well, if you didn't mean to scare me, then you should have made your approach more obvious," she said in a somewhat harsh tone. She huffed a bit and closed her eyes as she turned her head to the side.
After a few moments, she opened her eyes again and turned her head back to the stallion. Well, wasn't he forgetting his manners? He had yet to introduce himself!
"Well, what is your name, then? And what were you doing sneaking around in the woods there?"

If he could whistle he would have, apparently this little mare was beyond feisty and he took the decision there and then to be rather careful. Flirtation wasn't going to get him anywhere with this one (except impaled) so it was in everyone's best interests for him to behave. That being said, the curly haired stallion had to admit that she could do with a few manners herself...it didn't help to say 'hello' every now and again.
"I nae be sneakin', I jes' be soft on me hooves," Biscuit explained after a few moments, his expression still mild and otherwise unreadable. He seemed pleasant enough with that peculiar glow in his eyes and the relaxed manner in which he held his form but who knew? Most knew he was harmless but there were bound to be a few who stared at him like he was a demon.
"Although I be knowin' I shoulda made meself more obvious now, hindsight and all that," Flicking his tail lazily against his hindquarters he continued to watch the otherwise harsh mare for a few moments before giving a shrug. "I be sorry if I scared ye, but as te who I am...I be Biscuit. Dinnae suppose I deserve te know yer name after causin' such an affront eh?"

Ju glared at him for a few more moments, taking in his appearance. Well, it was true that he should have thought more about what he was doing, and if there was anybody around that he could have frightened.
She shifted her weight, her bangles jingling again as her feet moved, and she looked down at them for a few minutes, not saying anything to the stallion. When he finally introduced himself, though, she looked back up at him with a rather sudden smile on her face.
"Oh, well, what an interesting name! My name is Ju, and its very nice to meet you."
She bowed her head politely. This change of attitude was so extreme and sudden, but she didn't really think about that. She just watched Biscuit, waiting for him to say something, if he was going to say anything at all.

[[Holy crap, Rak is gorgeous! o_o]]
Bing!
Just like that her personality seemed to be transformed at Biscuit didn't have to think twice about using that to his advantage. A small smile transformed his sheepish expression into one of mild pleasure. He always preferred when soquili were relaxed, they didn't shout as much and while her change had been beyond abrupt he wasn't going to deny it.
"I be thankin' ye for the compliment," He gave a slight bow of his head, "But me mother and me father would be givin' me the name - you however," He paused for dramatic affect and canted his head to the side. Still rather aware of the dangers of her horn he wasn't goin to approach any more without being invited.
"Ye be havin' an lovely name, does it 'ave a meanin'?" He enquired curiously. During his travels he had always found that the names of most tended to hold meaning, his didn't...it had more of a story but that just made him all the more curious to know about others.

((Thanks! I love him!))
She shifted on her feet again, and the jingling of her bangles rang out once more.
Biscuit seemed very interested in names. She beamed at him when he said her name was lovely, and flicked her heavy tail.
"Actually, it does have a meaning. It means "Chrysanthemum"."
She turned to the side so that the flowery pattern on her back could be seen, and smiled proudly.
"I agree, it is a very beautiful name."
She smiled even more and turned back to face Biscuit head-on. She only just now noticed that he spoke with a strange accent. She had never heard an accent before, and wondered why he spoke like that.
"You do speak strangely, don't you? Why do you speak like that? Is there something wrong with you?"
Ju didn't have a thought that this might offend Biscuit. There had to be a reason that he spoke like that, right? And he did seem a little strange and rude, the way he was sneaking around in the forest. So maybe there was something wrong with him...

Wow, talk about forward...
The stallion blinked a few times as the mare answered his question and then countered with one of her own. He had to say that hers was a damn sight more probing than his had been, he'd only been curious about her name. That being said, she was a very pretty thing so perhaps that itself gave her confidence - and lots of it.
"Well," His tone was grave as he formed a response in his mind before shaking his head sadly, "Ye could be sayin' that there be somethin' wrong with me..." He mused slowly, flicking his ears against the ticklish sensation that he felt across them. While he enjoyed his curly mane, sometimes it did have it's issues and he didn't exactly appreciate them.
"But tha' nae be the reason I have a strange voice...ye could be sayin' I not be from around here, brought up by a rather...unconventional family." Perhaps that would be enough to satiate her curiosity in that regard but he was an open stallion and wasn't afraid to answer any more questions (to a point at least).
"Ye nae be likin' it? Cause if ye want I cin try mimicking me uncle a lil..."

Well, this stallion seemed all together completely unorganized when it came to putting his thoughts together. Here he was talking about his accent, but then saying that something was wrong with him, but had nothing to do with his accent. How crude. But she would show him how to properly carry on a conversation.
"How humble to offer to change the way you speak just to be accepted. I myself wouldn't drop that low just to make somebody happy. Why sacrifice yourself for others?"
She let out a small laugh, more like an arrogant chuckle, with a slight toss of her head. She then looked back at the stallion, a smug grin on her face.
"And how was this family of yours unconventional? What exactly made them that way? And where do you come from if you're not from here?"
It was more like a relentless bout of questioning than a conversation. The kind demeanor that was present for just a second earlier seemed to have completely vanished.
