okay, maybe i missed it or something. maybe it was in the anime and not yet in the manga, but where does jeep/hakuryu/whatever-you-call-hakkai's-dragon come from?
i know he's hakkai's. i know he transforms and all that. i've seen the little relationship chart that says who he was in his past life.
i've seen the flashback arcs (i have all of saiyuki manga and saiyuki reload through vol 7). there's a time before jeep, and a time that they have jeep, but it hasn't said where/when/how exactly jeep came to be in hakkai's possession/service.
anyone know, or does it just never say?

Um....It could be that Hakkai has more positive energy than the others and so Hakuryu is attracted? rofl 3nodding That's just my thought about it.... biggrin

i d'know. i think it was in one of the manga bios. it says that "since jeep is his, he's the driver." though i don't know why jeep is his. maybe he does just like hakkai better. but that still doesn't explain where he came from.

i dunno but i can imagine the look on gojyo's face when hakkai brought him home...my guess is he found hakuryu out starving somewhere, and he went all paternal and brought him home.

Doomschneider i d'know. i think it was in one of the manga bios. it says that "since jeep is his, he's the driver." though i don't know why jeep is his. maybe he does just like hakkai better. but that still doesn't explain where he came from. actually there was a part in the first saiyuki(not reload, the voices, in both english and japanese suck) that Hakkai is about to pass out when he's driving and Gojyo takes the wheel. i dono if that counts for anything, but i didn't see anything about the dragon's past eather. I'll have to ask my friend who knows more about it then i do.

anyone can drive hakuryu (i mean even sanzo did once-that'll never happen again) but i think it's only hakkai who'd be able to drive w/o ever touching the wheel (if u get what i mean)

i know that anyone can drive jeep. sanzo did it at the end of the original saiyuki. gojyou drives too, in dire need. it's just convention that hakkai drives, but it did say somewhere that it was b/c he was jeep's owner. he also takes care of jeep when he breaks/gets sick, and is more in tune with jeeps quirks, like someone would be with their own car.
and uchiha kappa: i'm not sure i WANT to 'get what you mean.' confused (then again, it could just be MY mind that's gone to the wrong places... sweatdrop )

wow...for the first time in my life i didn't mean it like that...and what happens? i guess i really am gojyo...heh...(hakkai already seems to have something[not] like that, so hakuryu is safe)[if im making sense-too much beer not enough sleep]

Maybe, when the Konzen Party left Heaven, Kojun was turned into a dragon and handed down the Cho family line. That's just my theory though.

honestly, i don't think there IS a cho family line, i mean look at him and his sister. i doubt he knew his parents, but hakuryu would be one sweet present

Isn't the Dragon King Gojyun what Hakuryu was in his past life? I dont know, they havent really adressed him that much, but he does look alot like Hakuryu. I dont know how hakuryu met up with hakkai though, its weird because they went in depth with everyone else except for him.
