Shiori sat quietly near the beach, staring deeply into the deep blue water and enjoying the sun radiating across her coat. Her curls swayed in the wind as she truly felt connected to the nature all around her.
Hmm, being alone and listening to the cry of the ocean feels nice, but sometimes I want to play around and meet others... she thought. She stood up and slowly walked by the sea, laying her hootprints in the sand. I should really find some good friends to hang around with, and have lots of fun! she thought. A black blur caught her eye as she stopped in her steps and searched for who it may have been. I sure hope its not a Kalona, they probably wouldn't be much of a friend, would they? she shivered and continued on her way.

Samus swooped down and landed on the beach in his own graceful way that well wasnt all that graceful. tossing his mane and closign his wings to his side, it seemed this was a interestign place to explore atlest. looking about for anyone about, his eyes caught a brightly colored from where he had landed. grunting, he stepped into veiw from where he had landed which wasnt too far away and gave a small nicker to annouce his was there in the same area as her. lucky his mood was fairly decent at the moment.

Shiori was sure she had seen something. Then at last a black stallion landed onto the beach. He had wings that highly piqued her interest. She tossed her curls to a side and begun walking towards him.
"Hello there, I'm Shiori." she smiled her most beautiful smile and looked deeply into his eyes. They had some sort of spark in them that made her feel weary inside. Then she quickly retreated and concentrated on a small shell in the sand. I have to admit, he's quite the handsome one. she admitted to herself as a thought crossed her mind. She gawked in wonder and softly asked,
"Can you... fly?!?"

Samus raised a brow at the mare a moment and stared right back at her in the eyes as she had looked nto his before he responded. " yeah i can fly if you didnt notice earlyer that it was me who was flying about here." giving a flick of his tail, he ruffled his wings. " i suppose since you gave me your name i will give you mine. i'm Samus." he was never much of a talker so he usualy liked to keep his responces short, sweet and to the point.

"Wow.." she whispered as she stared wide-eyed at the feathery wings. Samus is so cool! she stated to herself as she thought of wanting wings of her own. He's amazing, unlike all the other stallions I've met... she thought as she felt her cheeks lightly flush and wondered if she was blushing. She quickly snapped out of the dreamy phase and concentrated on making an impression on him.
"I haven't seen you around these parts, do you live elsewhere? My home is around here." She asked, trying to get her eyes off those beautiful wings of his.

Samus still had a raised brow because of the reaction he got from this mare about his wings. he shrugged at her question. " i claimed a place in the moutians. only came here becuse i felt the urge to explore and the fastest way is flying." for now he ignored the fact she was starign at his wings even it it was starting to make him edgy at being stared at.

Finally she was able to part herself from his wings, and concentrated more on his eyes. "The mountains?" she asked. Shiori had been so pre-occupied discovering the beauty of the grasslands and the sea that she had never thought that there could be mountains not far from here. Her curious nature emerged with a strong sensation. "I want to see them.: she boldly stated. "How can I get there? Is it far? Is it dangerous? Do you have relatives there? Do Kalonas live there? Are there more Soquili with wings there?" she fired quesions at him, realising maybe she was being too pushy.

Samus flicked his ears back, as he wasnt use to this at all in any way. he had been off on his own for so long he hardly was use to interacting with anyone which showed when he met certain personalities. " sheesh slow down with the questions." spreadign out a wing he used it to point out where the moutains where which is where he had came from. " if you go that way and fallow a river you could get there, not hard to find at all." closign it back to his side, to him this mare was makign him very edgy to a point he wanted to get away sicne he was not use to such boldness.

"Um, I'm.. sorry." Shiori whispered. The way he explained the way to the mountains seemed as if it would be an easy trip. But something told her she was wrong with that understatement. She turned to Samus and thought carefully about what she should ask so that he didn't get grumpy again about her askign so many questions.
"How long do you think it will take me to get there?" she asked, still many questions buzzing in her head, which she was unable to ask.

amus mused over her question for a moment. he ofcouse had flown to the beach and had not walked so there was a huge difference in how long it could take him to get there and how long it woudl take her by foot. " well it only too me a few hours flight to get here so i guess it coudl take you half a day or more depending on how quick you are about it." shruging, he was secertly glad she calmed down so he wasnt so edgy though he still foudn it very odd about how she had first reacted towards him." why you ask so many questions anyways?" to him it was a simple question though to some it might have been a very rude question.

Shiori was puzzled by what Samus said. "What do you mean why do I ask so many questions?!?" she threatened. "Am I not allowed to ask this many questions?" she asked. "Let me ask you another question," she started, feeling her tone grow darker. "Why are you so, weird?" she spat, closing her eyes and lifting her head up high, in a tone which she believed would have given the chill to any normal soquili. Once you get on her evil side, theres no escape. I thought he was cool, what a respectless horse he actually is! she thought to herself. He probably will never get a mare to fall for his charm with that attitude!

to samus it was a simple question andnothing to get mad about but it seemed he was wrong. giving a warning growl, he pinned his ears back with a sudden grin. " never said anything of the sort so don't twist my words around." flaring his wing, he tossed his mane. " i'am who i'am. and i beleive this meeting is over." snorting he turned and walked away and took to the air. ofcourse he was not going to linger long after that which was why he left back to the moutains where his cave was.

"Hmph!" Shiori snorted. What a RUDE soquili! she thought. I hope not all wind soquili are like Samus! She frowned, heavily sighing. But I still want to visit the mountains, hopefully there won't be other mean soquili there. With those last thoughts, Shiori held her head high and happily marched back home, to pile up energy for the long journey to the mountains she would be taking in the next few days.
