A sister thread to the thread about Prince Aikka, and one for Molly is soon to come. Here is where to talk about and worship all things Jordan!

The brazen gunner, who goes from a reckless, girl-challenged guy to a shy and hopeless romantic...also may be the consistent comic relief, but is also a very key and important character...

I always did think his lot in the show was sad, even if he does manage on several occasions to piss me off. Also I think he's one of the characters who makes the most progress and develompent. Even if I do think he's kind of a git at times for certain things he does, I will always love and respect him as a character and without him, the show'd be nothing...Not to mention a certain plotting, crusading PIGEON would be running the galaxy!

Take that, Canny!

Jordan has a great character. He can be a bit of an endearing goofball, kind of a jerk sometimes (although in some cases he was following orders which he is used to), and then he can just be a sweet guy.

It's interesting to see how he's occasionally torn between following orders as usual or doing something else. Which makes it funny to watch how he interacts with Molly, especially in the first few episodes considering her- sometimes- reckless behavior. xd But I'll admit it's cute when he follows Molly around to keep an eye on her because he's worried.

Also, I can't help but wonder what his life was like before he became part of Earth's military. He said that he was 'born with a game controller in his hand'. And he once or twice mentions his mom when it came to waking him up. Then, for some reason, I want to say Jordan seems like he would have siblings, or close cousins; something along those lines.

Jordan is pretty cool! And funny! I like that he is protective of Molly, like a big brother and that they are good friends! I liked how he acted around Molly during the beginning of the show and worked into a romance! But I am still for Mokka! I would kind of okay with Eva and Jordan but I would still LOVE it if Aikka and Eva hooked up! Maybe Savin! would/will make someone for Jordan! Maybe one of his assiants that helps the AVATAR!!!! That would be nice!

Anyway, Jordan is a cool, funny character though at times he's a jerk and him and Molly fight but they are good friends! And yes, he IS a goofball but that's why everyone loves him!

I wonder that myself, and in fact, I have this idea in my head of perhaps him having...like a younger sister or something who is just as gun obsessed as he is(which of course is used in my fanfiction, I made him a trigger-happy little sister)
I think that if he had a tough-girl sister with like interests, then perhaps it would explain how he treats Molly early on in the series, he just treats her like basically one of the guys, and calls her a stowaway girl. Perhaps that's just how he interacted with a supposed sister back on Earth, therefore he doesn't really know how to handle girls, but then learns as the show progresses.

I dunno, just my crazy little outlook on the matter of Jordan and other Wilde spawn. But wouldn't it be interesting if he did have a sister and she shows up in the sequel? That'd be awesome!

Heh. That would explain a lot. sweatdrop

But for some reason I could also see him having an older brother or someone who's in the military too.

BLEH MOKKA JOVA OR NOTHING!!!

ranting aside i personally feel that jordan was the most complex character on oban
((i say that cause rick wasnt on oban was he pirate ))
anyways i picture jordan being shipped off to military school when he was fairly young and that he simply was a shy geeky kid who found him self the first time he pulled a trigger mrgreen
i dont know bout any of the rest of you but i get the feeling that he came from a poorer family.

he may be the comic relief of the earth team but he's a patriot who willingly puts the lives of his friends above his own wellbeing (obviously we can all see that at the end cant we?)
due to his training which i believe to be from a young age and growing up in the propaganda filled era after the first human krog war. i cant relly blame him for having a case of racism towards aliens ((not that i condone or like racism in any form.)) espically towards aikki who's people are KNOWN! to work with the krogs. he didnt need to know that it was by force the fact that they were helping the race that was threatening to wipe out all humanity is simply enough for him. regardless of how much help they may be giving them.

i do concur that he's had the greatest amount of character growth on the show well mabey rick comes a close second tied with molley. and don wei in 4th place

i'll babble more later gotta get going

LOL, well congratulations to you both, and as long as Aikka belongs to Molly, I'm quite content.
mrgreen xd

What'd I come in here for? Oh! yeah, I'd like to add that in my recent adventures as a new member on the official forum, I found the 'Ask Savin' thread, and after squealing with fangirl joy, I did ask my five questions, one of them being if Jordy has any siblings! I'll keep you posted as soon as he reaches my questions...
O_O Savin...Answering MY questions....I'm still getting used to this, don't mind me. *faints*

Jordan's an interesting guy. His character development was pretty darn good, but I do have to say one thing. I didn't see the ending for him coming. Now that could be a good thing, but at the same time... something is a bit off about it to me. Ah well. Lol

Yeah, the ending for Jordan left me with mixed feelings too...I mean, he got to show his love for Molly in one of the hugest ways there is... But in the end he can't be with the girl he loves, and his life is suddenly 10,000 years longer to boot. The ending was just so different from many stories, I think it really surprised a lot of us. The guy didn't get the girl, and now he has 10,000 years to live with it....And the last glimpse we have of him is of a tear falling down his face...which is very dramatic.

After that epi. I had a new found respect for him.
