[PRP] It Doesn't Take Much. ((Sastimos and Esha))

[Baby Pandah]

Sastimos meditated on top of a large bumpy boulder. It was one of the things he did often to help himself stay calm. The stars shined throughout the sky but he could not see them because his eyes were completely closed. A bird darted past his head and disturbed his concentration. He smiled however. He had been close to finishing anyways. Now what to do? He turned his head and began fixing his wing feathers, they had gotten a little dirty and out of place on the way up here.

Esha took a deep breath through her nose, feeling the sweet caress of the cool night air. The summer days had been cool of late, but it could not compete with the sweet, chilly feeling the night decided to bring. The stars shone overhead like icicles and the colors dimmed to shades of blues and dark greens in the landscape. Even her own brightly hued coat seemed washed down with a cooler feel.

She trotted through the tall grass, her ears pulled pleasantly forward as she felt the air move through her mane and tail. She was ready for everything, as always. Life was most rewarding to those who explored it, after all.

Sastimos saw something down in the silvery grass...It was a...mare? Hmm, how odd. He didn't usually see anyone else out during this time of night. Maybe she was in trouble or something? Oh but it had been so difficult getting up here! He sighed and spread his sensitive wings wide. What were wings for if you couldn't use them? But he rarely used them, it was too annoying. He took off from the rock and soon landed behind the mare with a thump. It wasn't one of his best landings. He shook dirt out of his long braids and moved his wings back into place with a sigh. Then he looked back at the mare which he was only about five feet away from.

"Sastimos does not like flying. Annoying he thinks." he said randomly to her. He could tell her colors were bright but the moon had everything in black, gray, and silver mode.

Esha's ears flicked to the side attentively and she turned her head to catch sight of the stranger as he landed. The appearance of someone with wings did not startle her, for it was not the first landing she had whitnessed. Instead she turned her head, lavender eyes twinkling in the moonlight. It seemed her evening wasn't to be spent alone. This brought a warm smile to her muzzle and a gentle swish of her tail.

"Don't like it?" she questioned, her voice a smooth, silky alto. There was nothing but friendly curiousity and musing in her tone, "That is a shame. I've always thought flying would be grand, to be limited not simply by the land but also graced with the aid of the air..." She trailed off thoughtfully.

He watched her talk with a light smile planted across his face. "Sastimos was cursed with sensitive wings. May Sastimos ask miss' name?" he inquired curiously in his deep but somewhat dazed voice. He looked at her...she was very beautiful, of course he couldn't help noticing. He supposed her name had to be just as pretty as she was. He watched quietly as a pair of white moths chased each other throughout the scene. It added a wonderful effect to the night and he grew disappointed when they flew away. Perhaps something just as wonderful might turn up again?

As he observed the skies distractedly he saw a shooting star dash across the sky. He was about to tell the mare about this but no one ever seemed to believe him when he mentioned shooting stars and wishes.

"Oh? Do they pain you much?" she asked gently, her voice like a warm, soothing balm upon a burn. The breeze tugged her bangs into her face, dashing her eyes from view for a few moments. Though her mild concern for the stranger remained, she offered her name, as it was only proper when meeting someone new. "I'm called Esha," she said with a small dip of her head, turning it slightly so that her bangs slid from her face, "And you?"

Her lavender orbs slid round as she saw a flash of light upon the sky. Letting out a small, pleasant breath she murmured with the same smile, "Look, a shooting star. Best make a wish." Her tone was so light and whispy like the air that was hard to tell if she was serious or just saying the last bit as an after thought. But as far as Esha was concerned, it was a common story that the stars that fell granted wishes to those who saw them.

"Sastimos. That is my name. Esha has a lovely name. Sastimos is glad to meet her." he said in his odd speech. "Sastimos thinks it matches you well." he said and smiled warmly at her. A breeze came up and caused his long braids to tumble over his shoulders from off of his back. He looked up in surprise then looked back down at her with an even bigger smile. "Sastimos finds them odd. How they just...twinkle..." he said dreamily and his voice faded away as he became caught up in the sky. Usually he was a bit more attentive but at night it was a different story. And Esha's lovely voice made him feel sleepy and mysterious. It was an odd feeling. "A wish..." he murmered under his breath. "Sastimos does not know what he wants..." he said rather quietly, still focusing on the stars.

"Really?" she asked, intregue and amusement flickering in her gaze, "That is quite wonderful. It is rare to find someone who wants nothing; that is completely at ease with their life. I know I can hardly claim such a thing." Her voice turned to a warm, rice laugh then as she shook her head, tossing her multi-hued mane. Though it was honestly a funny thing for her to say, for in reality she was far more content with life then many.

"I wished to continue to see the world; to continue to see new wonders each day," she paused, tilting her head away from the dark, twinkling sky before looking back at him with a tiny smile, "Seem a bit silly?"

"Sastimos does not think Esha's wish is silly...At least Esha has something to wish for..." he said and looked back at her. He felt a bit, left out. He could meditate under the stars, he could look at them, he could wonder and think about them, but not wish on them. "Hmm...Sastimos thinks he will wait for a wish to come to him..." he said with a slow nod of approval at his idea. "Sastimos is wanting to go somewhere new..." he said looking around himself. He was always looking for nice, quiet places to be. And he enjoyed seeing new sights. Maybe Esha would lead him to some.
