Allison stated in her blog, then subsequently kryptonsite posted it, that she will be directing episode 7x20 of Smallville.
I personally hope that it is an amazing episode since Allison is an amazing actress.

I think she would be an ok director. But she is an amazing actor! I think Allison should give it a shot.

The only thing that annoys me when the actors direct episodes is that they get so much more credit from fans than the regular directors when the direction is good. Also, they get credited for things like good writing in the episodes they directed, which they're clearly not responsible for. Stupid fans.
ANYWAY, Allison is amazing. I'm sure she'll do a fantastic job.

Fetu you're always really negative. Sorry not to be offensive, but do you ever look at things from a positive point of view? So what if the actor gets more credit. The actor made the name for themselves by putting their face on the screen. Many of the directors go into doing directing because they are better behind the camera and I'm sure they are well aware of that. But i agree too that I think Allison will do a fantastic job, she has had a lot of experience in acting and i'm sure she will be able to apply a lot of her knowledge now. It is very good for her career and I can't wait to see how it turns out.

I don't consider myself to be negative.
Anyway my point was that when actors direct they get more credit for the directing than the regular directors, just because they're better known. I consider that to be unfair and was just raising the point.

I know but how is that unfair? I mean sure the put together what we see on screen, but there isn't much "hype" so to speak about them. I mean you can't blame most people for wanting to watch the shows. But when there are so many directors it is much harder to credit one for a tv show.

I meant for the individual episode that they directed -- for example, I saw a lot more love for the directing in "Hydro", by Tom Welling, than I did for the directing in "Reunion", by Jeannot Szwarc, which was also of a high quality.

Haha, and Fragile. xd Though the only reason I liked that episode was the last five minutes. MR directed Freak but that was a good episode minus Lana's sqwee at bowling.

lol - "Fragile", forgot about that one. There were elements of the directing I really liked in that episode, but it's all kind of overshadowed by how out-of-character Lois was...
The directing in "Hydro" was good, though, I felt, and so was the directing for "Freak".

Didn't care much about the little girl with power over glass. Liked the Lexana kiss and that was about it. Oh, and Lex speaking Japanese that I'm pretty sure was butchered even though I don't know the language.
Freak was a good Chloe episode. We don't get enough of those, or Lois episodes.

When do we even get Lois-centric episodes? I can only think of "Arrow" off the top of my head, and that was more of an Ollie-centric episode.
