Phew. That was the most exhausting 45 minutes of my life.

And I have completed my first official real-life, portrait drawing. I'm proud.

Feel free to crit. I think I can spot a few mistakes myself... such as her eyes are a bit too big, and her nose could use some work. Plus I'm not entirely satisfied with the shape of her face. OH WELL. biggrin

Bonus points if you know who she is. (celebrity)

Not bad for a first time portrait drawing. (^^) heart It'd be alot easier to C&C if we saw the reference drawing in question but since this is a guessing game.. xd

... Madonna? neutral Well, that was my first impression... I doubt she'd wear that hairstyle but yaaargh. xp

Again, it'd be easier to crit if I saw the reference pic as I'm not sure if her face is supposed to be that shape, whether her lips or hair do is accurate etc. But for now, the way you shaded her cheeks makes her face look a tad odd. Like as if her face is protruding in a flat manner before concaving down to her lips...

Anyhow, not bad. whee

It's pretty flat for a realistic portrait drawing. I'm sure you will learn more about light in the future. What really nags at me is the indention into the cheek/face from the mouth on the left side of the picture, however. It's a bit cartoony.

Alright, thanks. I'll work on it.

And since I'm going away for a few days, I might as well post the reference photo now.
