My friends and I were arguing the other day about what kinda sound do most people use. In the end we could not prove anything, so I decided to ask you guys. What kinda guitar sound do you use more often? Distortion or Clean?
I personally love Distortion over cleanliness. twisted

Doesnt it depend on what type of music someone plays? I dunno..that's just me..
But I like to use distortion. :]

It depends. In a lot of songs the guys and I play in our band, we will be going Distortion one minute, and with a click of the pedal we've got clean going on.
Personally I love em both just because you can get two amazing sounds from the same instrument. Lovely.

I almost always use distortion unless if I'm playing jazz. Otherwise, I just use an acoustic.

I use distortion most of the time, but a lot of things only sound good in clean in my opinion.
There are things you can pull off in distortion that you just can't in clean, and visa versa... But yeah I like distortion more.

Well, if you're trying to find out which one people play more, you'll have to take a sample survey or something...
but if you just want preferences, I prefer distortion strictly because of pinch harmonics and bends. Chords don't sound great distorted though, which is why I gotta get me a pedal...

honestly, if i want a clean sound, i just play acoustic, which i do often, electric guitars on glean sound like they're made out of glass, and i dislike that. so if it's electric, it's gotta have CRUNCH, baby.

I like both but I think I prefer a little bit of distortion with some songs. Anything I'd usually play with my acoustic I use clean sound for.
