several illustrations here for your scrutiny. normally i work straight onto paper with a pen. no sketching. no erasing. no tracing.
the one below in an exception to my normal mode. i drew first with pencil, then inked it, erased the pencil, then did some basic color in photoshop. for my brother's first wedding.

very sophisticated and extraordinary style! wish i could draw like that --i mean they're simple lines, but you made it come together and form something that looks complicated to replicate. sweatdrop excellent job on it. biggrin
