Currently my Japanese is sketchy but I thought I'd put down the translations of Kiyoko's and the Doctors conversation for anyone that was interested >.<
Let's hope I didn't make too many mistakes >w<
I have some good sites to help with the formations of sentences if anyone wants links ^^
Anyway: Here is the passage with the inserted translations in green.
There was the sound of someone fumbling near by.
"Doctor! Doctor! The subject is awake!"
"What?!"
"The subject Sir. She's awake."
"Fukanou desu! [Impossible!]" came the brash and angry reply as the sound of approaching footsteps made themselves known. Kiyoko whimpered and thrashed. The voice came, closer this time, a familiar voice. "Kiyo-chan?"
Kiyoko let out a gargled noise and thrashed weakly, but with renewed vigour.
"Yamero yo [Stop it/that]." Her fathers voice was blunt and authorative and she immediately stopped squirming and lay still.
"Kirai desu. Kiraaaaaai desu! Kurushinde. Kiraaai. [I don't like it. I don't liiiiiike it. It hurts. Don't like]." Kiyoko whimpered. Tears were now pouring down her cheeks.
Now that her senses were full intact and the numbing effects of the tranqs had faded she could feel the pain for what it was. Explosive.
"Bakana [That's silly]" came the cheerful reply. "Jakuniku kyoushoku. [Phrase: Survival of the Fittest]"
That last phrase made Kiyoko lie still. Tears stung her eyes but the code words had been relayed to her and she lay still and silent.
"Kodomo ni hayaku ookiku natte moraitai desu. [I want my child to grow fast]" Her father's voice was right beside her now. So close his words caused the metal of the mask to vibrate so it tickled the side of her face. "Wakarimasu ka? [Do you understand?]"
Kiyoko mumbled incoherantly. There was sharp stabbing pains richoteting about her skull.
"Mo ichido itte. Yukkuri hanashi te kudasai. [Say it again. Please speak slowly. N.B I am unsure exactly as to if the first of these two phrases is 100% accurate X3]" His words were firm. There was no tolerence there making these seemingly polite requests more like orders.
"H-Hai. Wakarimasu. [Y-Yes. I understand.]" Her voice seemed drawn and strained, spoken through gritted teeth.
"Nante subarashii musume deshou.[What a wonderful daughter!]" His reply was peppy and cheer inspiring and Kiyoko felt a small smile twitch in the corners of her lips but die out as another wave of pain struck.
"Arigato Chichi. [Thank you Dad. N.B 'Chichi' is the informal way of saying Father. Often used by much younger children. The more adult way, for those of you who care, is Otosan]"
Her father did not speak for a while after, instead she felt fingers tighten about her thin forearm. Then came a sharp stab of pain and the sensation of something being forced into her blood stream.
When her father next spoke he seemed far away. His words shook and echoed in a manner most unnatural as Kiyoko's head began to swim.
"Boku wa anata ga tsukareteinai ka to shinpai-shiteimasu.[ I am afraid you are tired. N.B not a statement, more an expression of concern. I just thought it went well with the Doctors current attitude.]"
Kiyoko made to reply, but her throat constricted, her eyelids already falling closed.
"Oyasuminasai, Kiyo-chan. Yoi yume o.[ Good night, Kiyo-chan. Sweet dreams]"
And all was dark.
=3 Thar yee go.
