Though she wasn't showing it outwardly, Mwokoti was amazed how every time she was in the pridelands (which was almost always as of late), this cub managed to find her. Though... Now, she seemed to have grown some, a bit older than a cub.

It must have been because she was gifted with the flight Sen so desired that the pridelander felt so at ease around her. That, or she just babbled her every thought to everyone like this, and if that was the case, Mwokoti felt slight pity for these lands.

"It sounds as though your brother has done nothing wrong, honestly," the Goddess commented, folding her wings back and settling under the shade. Her luck was horrible, it really was. Why did she have to be pestered on one of the few chances she got to actually relax? Sen was cute, and her ambition was refreshing, but...

"Are you JOKING?!" the younger female squawked. "He does it on purpose! He's so annoying!"

Zeki roamed around a bit more freely now that he was getting older, but he was still forbiddened to cross the border to go find his Uncle Trig or his Uncle Moto'Vianzio. As for Uncle Kinari, he wanders too much and often times he could be found here in the Pride Lands. He yawned softly and stretched out as he hopped off his perch. Today was just another day to find some time to meander around the savanna and say hello to all the inhabitants of the Pride Lands.

It was a while before his ears picked up what sounded as an arguement. Before long, he found himself heading in the direction of the voices, determinded to get the situation straightened out and solved. He was growing much more responsible to other's needs and problems, helping them solve it now. After it was part of his code to help with honor and the dignity that most would expect. At least... that was until he heard her voice.

The voice of the Goddess that had saved him from being lost, or rather what he had lost. He knew the voice well enough to recognize the owner, the scent was nowhere to be around, they were downwind it would seem. Lately, he found himself thinking about her feathers, actually the feathers of the Gods really. Wings. That is what made them very special. If he recalled correctly, the female that was with Mwokoti last time also liked her wings or something like that. Perhaps he shared a similar interest now.

With a smile, he bounded off toward the voices.

"M'lady Mwokoti!"

"Zeki," Sen announced. It was not a greeting nor a word of aggravation. It didn't really matter to her if he was here or not, as long as he didn't start with that whole 'you shouldn't be here' rambling again.

As bothersome as she claimed Sen to be, Mwokoti was thankful for her saying the name of the young lion, because she never remembered them herself. Never bothered to. "Hello," the Goddess said, peering over the new arrival. "Are you doing well?"

She didn't sense any distress from him. None that would call for her help.

He smiled innocently, and quite sweetly to the two females. He has been fine for a long time, it seemed like the only thing that ever stressed him now a days was his dangerous secret. Though, that was his and Safuma's to keep. No one will know! He chuckled a bit and moved closer.

"Hello, Miss Sen, M'lady Mwokoti. I have not seen the two of you in a while," he purred and nudged Sen a little. "I bet you have been following M'lady Mwokoti on her travels, huh? Or was it that you waited for her to come back here before you pounced?" his tone of voice hinted of a joking sort. He smiled and looked up at the Goddess of the Lost. Though her wings were folded up, he could still see the feathers. Those beautiful feathers. He smiled and nodded.

"I have been doing quite well. Father and I are on terms again and everythings gone back to the normalcy that I was used to. Still going on our morning runs, speaking to those we meet along the way, spoke to my Uncle Moto'Vianzio, and I went swimming six or seven moons ago at the beach where my Uncle Trig was. Other than that, I have been doing very well. How about you, M'lady Mwokoti? Your travels treating you well?"

Sen batted at Zeki with her paw before stepping back, away from him, coming to stand directly under Mwokoti. She stuck her tounge out and wrinkled her nose back and declared, "We're friends!"

Mwokoti showed no sign of either refusing or approval of this idea. "They are as they are expected," she answered. No matter how proper Zeki acted, she wasn't going to be honest with this issue in the company of a cub. Or anyone, really, save a select few. Besides, it wasn't as if she was lying. Her 'job' was being as it was suppose to. A b***h and a half.

"I'm glad." And she was, but a small bit of curiousity sparked in her eyes. Why was he here, then? No mortals approached her unless they wanted something. (Like Sen wanted to learn to fly, and refused to believe Mwokoti couldn't teach her.) "Do you need something else, then?"

"Hey, yeah," Sen piped up. "What are you doing out here?"

"Well, I heard some arguing of some sort. I thought I would come and settle down the situation before something broke out from it like a loss of friendship or maybe a 'bout. Luckily, that was not the case," he looked at Sen and then back up at Mwokoti. He knew he was telling the truth, after it all, it was the fifth part of his Code. 'Never lie and always stand by one's word. '

"Actually, since that is over with, I guess I could just stick around unless you want me to leave, ladies," he added. He kept finding himself glancing over at Mwokoti's wings from time to time whenever he moved from Sen to Mwokoti. It was odd, but those wings were very intriguing. Lions are land-based animals. Birds and other avians were air-land-based animals that could take to the sky to travel or get away to safety. Was it the same for Mwokoti? How did those wings work to start with? He did not quite understand it.

"They look... so clean and smooth. I suppose you do take care of them very well, don't you..." he muttered, looking at the wings once again.

Mwokoti had the strong urge to hit her head against a large rock. Her immediate thought was that Zeki had a fascination with flying he hadn't had before. Two Sen's? She wasn't sure she could handle that.

"I suppose." Though, she wasn't quite agreeing. They just sort of.. were that way. She didn't take any special measures with them.

"'Scuse us," Sen grumbled. Stepping forward, she nipped at Zeki's ear. "Let's talk, you and me. Oooveerrr thereee." Of course, he wasn't given much of a choice, since she started pushing him toward 'over there' while she was still speaking.

When Sen estimated they were far enough away, her eyes narrowed on Zeki, "Hey, what are you doing? I saw them first, yanno!"

Before Zeki could even reply with anything, he was already being dragged off with Sen to somewhere she felt was far enough to get in a private word or so. He involuntarily followed the fellow Pride Lander.

His ears went flat when she started to yell. It was not like he meant to do anything bad, honestly. He looked at her and then over at Mwokoti.

"I know you were, Miss Sen. But what is this 'them' you are talking about? I only wanted to see her feathers. They are interesting... I mean a God, no a lion using feathers to fly? If I had one of those..." he chuckled. "Well, I would not mind having one myself."

He slowly made his way back to Mwokoti and smiled back at Sen. "Don't worry, I won't take her away from you."

"Do you know what my name means?"

"I don't care about that!" the juve wailed at him. But, you know, quietly. Didn't want Mwokoti over-hear or anything. "I'm talking about her wings. Paws off. I saw 'em first, and she's going to teach me to fly." Yes, in Sen's mind, Zeki was after her right to learn to soar. She still didn't believe it was something that couldn't be taught or gained if one tried hard enough.

Or continously pestered a Goddess. Either or.

Confused, Sen tilted her head and blinked. "Your name? What's that have to do with anything?"

"It means... "God's Will Strengthens" I believe that if I had a piece of Mwokoti, I could become stronger... strong enough to protect the Royal Family. Strong enough to protect my home, the Pride Lands. Strong enough to protect those I care for, those who are too weak to defend themselves... I want to be strong to do the things I have to-no, what I must do," he paused and smiled. "But I can wait to become stronger... after all, Gods do not openly walk around for all to see."

Without much more to say to Sen, he moved on back to Mwokoti and looked up at her. Another pause. His ears flicked and so did his tail.

"Did... hear any of that, M'lady Mwokoti?"

Sen's jaw dropped, and she gaped at Zeki, making no move to stop him. She was too much shock. Was he... Was he serious?! What a FREAK! She shook her head rapidly and dashed to catch up with him.

She would never understand this guy...

Mwokoti had no special hearing abilities, and Sen had chosen a safe distance, so it was in honesty the Goddess replied simply, "No."

"He wants to get stronger by taking a piece of you. I guess your leg or something," Sen cut in. Seriously. Weeeiirrddd-o.

"I can not make anyone stronger, Zeki, but I have a friend with those abilties." One of the few friends she had, in fact.
PostPosted: Wed Jul 25, 2007 7:40 pm

"Do you think so? I mean, it's not like physical training or anything, right? I have my father and my uncles to do that for me. After all, I can even now run at pace with my father only slowing down once or twice before the half point," he looked down at his paws. Should he impose on her for something that was hers? Would that be rude? The cause affect of it would be of good, but would she see it as a bad thing to relinquish something like that? She needed them didn't she? But he had to get strong in the sense of being able to protect. Courage perhaps? He thought for a moment and looked back up at Mwokoti with a very determined expression and posture.

"M'lady Mwokoti, I would like to request from you a single feather of your choice," he announced. His voice cracked a little, but he pushed it aside as he looked her straight in the eye. "The request may sound rather unorthodox, but I have my reasons for asking this of you. If you wish to give me one, please, point me to another God I may find here in the Pride Lands that may be able to."

For the first time in his life, he had never asked anyone for something like this or speak like this in order to obtain something. Never before. He had never asked to be friends, he just was. He never asked to be saved, he just was or he was able to do it himself. He never asked for food, he could get it himself or his father would share. For once, he was asking for something from someone else. Something rather personal.

Because she never could, Sen couldn't resist putting in her two cents. "A feather? That's it?" He wasn't going to be able to accomplish anything with a stupid feather!

"A feather?" Mwokoti echoed. If she was a Goddess who was easily entertained, she'd have found it amusing that he looked and sounded so serious asking for such a simple thing. As it was, she almost did. "Certainly."

The Goddess lowered to the ground, as if about to pounce on prey, and her wings fell, too. "Pick whichever you like." She need not ask what he required it for. The youth was something she didn't understand. Not anymore.

Zeki smiled at Sen, "That is all."

He made his way carefully to her side, looking over the vast amount of feathers and their different lengths. These were simply amazing to see, their shape were elongated and they were so sleek. Looking at them carefully, he did not want to take any that would or might impair her flying. To say the least, that would put a delay on her job and upon that, Sen would be very... very... very upset with him. His Code demands that he respect females with utmost respect. That was why he tried his best not to offend Sen nor Mwokoti.

He reached a paw into her outstretched wing and carefully tapped the end of the 'quil', lets call it. Interesting, it was attached to what seemed to be skin or something like that. To be honest, he has never seen a feather up close before except for when they were together on a wing or a bird. He looked at the feather once again to make sure it was not exactly for flying or a downy feather. With a slight tug, it was free.

Zeki held it in his paw for a moment and looked up at Mwokoti. With a smile, "Thank you, M'lady Mwokoti. I really appreciate this, I will keep it safe. If you no longer desire my presence, I would gladly leave you two alone for the time being."

"These are not my lands to command or dismiss anyone's presence, " Mwokoti told him. Being social was required of her, and she'd grown used to even the most annoying or obnoxious lions, so an overly-polite little cub was almost refreshing. "However, I am being called."

Sen pouted as the Goddess flew away. She wasn't going to call it quits, though. She would get her to teach her! But, for now... Snorting, she faced Zeki.

"Feathers aren't gonna make you stronger. They're feathers."
