Based on a spoiler given by kryptonsite I'm speculating that Lana will be back by the third episode entitled Fierce.

Here's the spoiler so you can decide for yourself:

Clark and Kara have a surprise visitor in the barn.

I know its a stretch but now is the time for speculation.

Lana would not be particularly surprising.

But she'll probably be back. I just don't think she's the surprise visitor.

I'm with Foetus. I don't think she'd risk returning to Smallville so soon. There was another spoiler on K-site that mentioned Lex having his men use some voice recognizing software to identify someone in Japan I believe...Not sure about the country, but yeah- that may most likely be Lana.

I think it was China because you know she's Mulana and she has to save China.

I'm pretty sure Lex will track Lana down, he wasn't kidding about her leaving, you can't just leave Lex Luthor like that. Nope.

Oh, yes. Definately. Lex is going to search for her. Whether she likes it or not, she's still married to the guy and he still loves her. And I hardly doubt a man with his experience is going to believe that she's dead. He won't accept it.

And I can see that scene being played on Smallville.

I don't think she's the person in the barn. But I do think she's going to come back. But not too soon, I hope.

She will return. Smallville can't live without Lana cause Clark can't.

I think the visitor is Martian Manhunter. Just a guess maybe?
