Here's a good Doom/Death band that crosses the world of early Paradise Lost et al. with an Opeth flavour. They have similar alternating clean/heavy sections and a well produced new album that was mixed by Dan Swano and mastered by James Murphy. Go check out "The Pale Haunt Departure" if you can.

Yes, this is the metal guild, and we are supposed to appreciate good music. Unfortunately for you, this band SUCKS ASSMEATS!
