Well, a recent post by ChaosDragoon gave me this idea.
What is the most heart wrenching, ironic, or jsut plain makes-you-fall-to-your-knees-and-scream-to-the-heavens Character Death?
Examples would be like the death of lavitz, Aeris from FFVII, or when Lavitz dies again.
What about you?

Other topics also include, Perfect Deaths, people who should have died, who should never die, and etc.

Aeris, Lavitz, Lavitz the second time, Tidus, (Perhaps the biggest one, because I felt his emotion more than anyone else.) and the twins in FFIV (Not a whole lot, but a bit.)

Oh, and what post inspired you? I'm clueless.

On Earthbound; Buzz Buzz's death. and Evered's fall from a skyscraper. Lavitz Lavitz, of course. Hammer's death on Xenogears, tragic. For now thats what I got.

Oh, just all the chatting about character deaths.
And you beat me to it, but definitely the death of Tidus. I mean, it was sooo sad. My empathy just like, skyrocketed in that single moment. To know that you were nothing more than a distant memory... that is the most painful death of all.

And especially since he had to kill Sin, but that would take him away from Yuna. That is a terrible choice to make, but one that had to be made. I'm at least glad that he came back for good in FF X-2, that was worth the averageness of the game.

Well, that, and the great songs that Yuna sang. 1000 Words was my favorite... so sad. crying

Indeed, X-2 wasn't that great, but those small little things jsut made you had to do it, huh?

Oh, and what the heck, I must also commend the Death of Loyd... And ofcourse, the Death of Loyd again.

Yeah, almost forgot about him.

Then there has to be Princess Olivia from Final Fantasy Tactics, she didn't deserve it.

Hmm, never played that game. How'd she die?

She was a pawn in the schemes of a man called Delita (Who had every good intention in scheming.) and tried to free herself by killing him, but Delita saw it coming and killed her instead. She really didn't deserve to die for wanting to be free to live her own life.

Final Fantasy Tactics is actually a really good game, much better than some would suspect. Although it can take some practice to fight right and get the right skills, and may take some restarts in the early stages of the game, it's quite good. The story is deep and involving, you get some kick a** allies towards the end of the game, and Cloud is in it! What could be better than that?

Cloud?!
Speaking of which, I wonder, what would makes a perfect death?

Perfect as in joyful? Or perfect as in perfectly sad?
PostPosted: Thu Jul 26, 2007 12:15 pm

Just perfect as in... fitting, you know?

I think the perfect death occurs in the Harry Potter Series.

I will not disclose the nature of my statement.

I commend the book version of the character in this post, but because he also died in the game, I am capable of doing so 3nodding :

Brom from "Eragon"

Also, I could never make this post without also adding this list of characters:

Organization XIII members number two, three, four, five, seven, eight, nine, and ten. Sure, none of the Organization members were perfect, but then, who is. When it just comes down to it, they were only a shadow of what they had been, and they wanted to exist again, just so long as they no long had to live in the torment of their unfeeling purgatory. Not all of them were exactly peaches, but the ones I listed above were loyal to the Organization's cause, and only went to the extremes they did because they could not feel sorry for their actions, and because it was the only course open to them which might ensure success in their struggle to live again.

(I'm wearing the Organization XIII coat that I bought off of ebay stores from honestdragonchina. It is the Xaldin style, and custom made to fit me. I FEEL SO AWESOME!!!! mrgreen )

Wow, custom made to fit you? Now all you need is a set of seven or so spears like Xaldin's.
