This is a thread of puzzles, codes in speaking.
You must try to de-code the previous person's post, and then post a new code of your own. If enough people ask, you can give out hints.
(Don't make the puzzles too hard, otherwise the thread will be stuck...)

Alright, I'll try to make the puzzles a bit harder now:

i think this is it:
the answer Lewis Caroll provided for this riddle is: "Because it can produce a few tones(?), though they are very flat; and it is never put with the wrong(?) end in front!"
i didn't know writing desks produced tones... unless the word is 'stone'
