Yes...ok, so many people seem to disregard Garet as being as important as Isaac or Felix or Piers. This Mars adept ish pretty kewl, and GS would be werid without him....so...what do you think?

Well, Garet's the comic relief. It's hard for people to respect him as much as 'serious' characters like Isaac or Felix. But, personally I think Garet is awesome, though it is very difficult to write him properly in fanfics as there's a tendancy to slip him back into the old cliche of being a complete blockhead, which he most certainly isn't...

You are both right, Garet is an essential part of the Golden Sun Party. Griffin is correct again when she said that he is most often viewed as a Charlie Brown type "blockhead". Garet is one of the most powerful party members in the game (and if you lok on the Golden Sun cover, you will see how ripped he is...)

The story? The story would be the same. But it wouldn't mean as much because the roll he plays is important. I personally don't like him, but I do realize that he does have a personality (the reason I don't like him is because of the type of personality he has) and it plays a part in the story.

It'd be a lot different! Garet was friends with Isaac and Jenna after they lost their parents... without him, they probably would have sunk into a depression they couldn't escape from. Garet was the one who was worried about Jenna after she was kidnapped, and kept the group on track, looking for her. Garet was a beacon of normalcy in the party. I mean, think about it... he's the only one in the group without some sort of tragedy in his past. Without him, the group probably wouldn't have had the strength to remain together and see their quest out till the end.
....Did that make any sense at all? sweatdrop

I like Garet! He's funny, and he actually has a visible personality... Isaac's mute, Mia's shy and quiet, Ivan's serious most of the time... I swear, without Garet, we might die of boredom and too much bland dialogue. GO GARET! ^_^
