I have a costume that my friend's mother is lending to me (pics after the faire). I'm going with her, my friend, and an aquaintence (who happens to be my friend's friend).
I'm in the midst of learning the speech of the time period, which is tough...and understanding how to recognize where the others at the festival would stand socially...just based on how they dress.
I'll be going as a lady (Lady Sarah; since my name is actually an older English name and is fitting for the occassion.)
The two guys are going as commoners; so they have to treat me in high regards.
And then the mother is going as a gypsie...the "scum of society".
I can't wait to see the firebreathers, jousters, sword swallowers...well anyway.
