For my drawing and painting class in my senior year of high school, we were part of The Memory Project. It is a project in which students are sent pictures of orphans, and we paint a portrait for them. I'm honored to have taken part in it. It was the first portrait I had ever painted, and through much time and frustration, I managed to paint a portrait of one of the girls, Lucy, whose picture I had chosen. We wrote a letter to accompany the portrait, and I was happy to see she wrote me back. Unfortunately, it is in Spanish, but I had a friend translate for me. Anyway, here is a resized (The picture was very large so I had to resize it a lot to post it) picture of Lucy with the portrait I painted for her.
