Books empower the imagination and give us knowledge beyond our understanding. What novel or piece of literature are you currently reading...provided you can read at all wink

Like the rest of the universe, I just finished reading the last Harry Potter book, though I read through it *way* too fast, to the point it was more of a binge than actual enjoyment. sweatdrop
I'm currently reading through various tattoo books, since I really want to get inked in the near future. The books are helping me by giving me ideas, telling me what to look for, how much to expect it to cost, etc. Very interesting, and I look forward to the experience. 3nodding

If you ask me, all this Harry Potter hype is way too much. I mean, you got a factory in some state whose supposedly making the books, and you got 100 news stations parked outside at night with night-vision goggles and tight stealth suits on. "THIS IS WHERE THE BOOK IS PROBABLY BEING MADE OMFGZZZZZZRRRRSSSS" I was asking myself: where's the missles for Christ's sake?
I'm glad for Rowling but man, the effects of publishing.
Harry Potter has no originality. I hope diehards hear this so I can throw rocks at them if they chase me down 4laugh

I'm sorry I should rephrase my sentence: "when they chase me down".

I agree with you fully Nomad. 3nodding
I admire anybody who is willing to write a book, becaus eit takes alot of time and commitment, and i do commend her for her works. But Harry Potter is just like so many other stories. Good guy wins, bad guy loses. The conflicts are always the same. Why can't the bad guys lose for once? confused
If i ever write a book the bad guy will win, the cute girl will get raped, and the comic relief guy will get laid.
3nodding
That makes an orginal story.
