Dustin landed on the beach with a great stretch of his wings. He hardly chose to fly anywhere, as that was the easy way to get to places, but this morning was the exception. It was a nice cool day with a calm breeze and he had decided it would be nice to see where his wings would take him. So here was at the beach with the salty air ruffling his feathers.

Ani, who rarely went by her birthname, Anirniq had always taken a liking to this particular beach. She spent much of her time here because she had met the stallion that taught her to fly on the coast. And after a long time of fearing she would fall, she learned to soar. Being half unicorn had its drawbacks she couldn't fly as high as those around her, but that rarely mattered.
She stood quietly at the water's edge her head down glaring into the salty water, there was something down there, she just knew it! Her inquisitive mind told her to look a little closer, to the point where her nose touched the water. Tiny creatures swam within.

Stretching his swings once more before folding them across his back, Dustin took in a deep breath of the salty air. It was a fresh scent and made him feel alive. Glancing around the beach he noticed a dark figure not too far down and cocked his head to the side. Whoever it was looked rather intent on staring at the water and he wondered what was so fascinating about it.
So he picked up a nice step, and began to make his way down the beach to see what was up.
