I think the Risembool Rangers (Vic M.'s fangroup) kinda got to me with all their "ZOMG VIC SHOULD BE TAMAKI!!!"-ing... don't get me wrong, I think if he were cast as Tamaki he would do a great job, but I kinda wanna see some other VA's get in the spotlight for this. I mean right now Vic has Air TV, Tsubasa, possibly XXXHolic (he played Watanuki in one episode of Tsubasa), and probably more shows that I'm not even thinking of... I mean let someone else have some fun for a bit. It's a decent-sized cast so I hope this is dubbed well. Overall I'm looking forward to this. So thoughts? Guesses on casting? Happy? Sad? Good move or bad move?

Now I expect dozens of Ouran High School Host Club will be ruined and Ouran's dub sucks topic on the main board. Mainly because it's already a popular anime and they are the ones that get the most whiners.
Me? I'm happy. FUNi is a great company. I was expecting Viz as they have been trying to pick up every popular anime based on manga they own the rights to.

I'm glad FUNI got it over Viz. Their dubs, at least for their shonen jump titles, tend to be lack luster.
I think Laura Baily should be Haruhi. I can't even begin to speculate on the twins, their Japanese voices are sound so good to me. I'm sure FUNI will find someone that's at least suitable, though.

I can't picture a lot of people to play the guys, like the twins, Hunny (perhaps they will go with a woman like they did with Luffy), and well since I haven't watched/read the whole thing I don't even know the rest of the characters. I'm just worried that this will turn out with people going "Omg it's (insert a well known character here)" since with Funi things, that tends to happen a lot. But I know they'll prove me wrong blaugh

Commence primary fawning over Vic Mignogna and Greg Ayres, assuming they're gonna be in the cast. xp
...
*facepalms* Oh well. Los Angeles and Vancouver can't win them all, now can they? I just hope that FUNimation does a good job handling Ouran.

Well as they say when one door closes another door opens elsewhere. There's still a lot more for LA and Vancouver to dub, this was just one of the more anticipated ones.

Oh, I do hope Laura gets Haruhi. I miss her voice. xD
I'm really excited about this! I wanted Texas to get Ouran really bad, and FUNI has done so well lately, I wasn't going to be picky between it and ADV. <333
Now I finally get to waaaatch eeet! ^_^
I wish I could offer more input on VAs to characters, but I don't know any of the characters (besides knowing OF Haruhi and Tamaki), so...I'll just sit back and remain excited. ^__^

Personally, I'm leaning more towards Colleen Clinkenbeard instead of Laura Bailey concerning Haruhi Fujioka. As for Tamaki Suoh, I haven't the slightest clue who they should cast; same goes for the rest of the cast, with the following two exceptions:
Kyouya Ohtori - Eric Vale
Mitsukuni Haninozuka - Aaron Dismuke

They are both excellent actresses. I think Eric Vale would be a great Kyouya! (I hadn't even thought of that) but I don't know about Aaron as Hani, just since he's starting to go through puberty now ^^;

A thought, for someone other than Vic as Tamaki--what about John Burgmeier? I know he usually does more serious characters, but when he did Shigure in Fruits Basket he was golden. What if he did a voice like that for Tamaki?

What if he did a voice like that for Tamaki? Kurama was also a very suave character and Shigure was more goofy, a very good mix for Tamaki imo. Rei Sagami was also the good-lookin guy in Kodocha.
