Orpheus was pretty sure that this was going to be one of those 'learn as they went' sort fo classes for not only the student but himself as well. How exactly did one teach a child fear? Not fear as in cautioning someone but fear as in teaching them to scare people. A strange but no doubt useful skill he was sure now to figure out how they would channel it and get it to work.
Unknown to why he was here Ligeia was sitting off to the side reading through one of his magic books. He was going to be the guinea pig in this, a test dummy of sorts for Altessa to try to 'Fear'. Orpheus just hoped it didn't all go badly...

"... again?" Altessa frowned as she entered, arms crossed. Honestly, these guys kept calling her out... she'd have to make a list soon enough.
Eyes dark, Altessa clenched her teeth before licking her lips, shifting to stand on both feet evenly, tail flicking back and forth. "... what is it this time?" She wasn't very curious, but an eyebrow was raised as she wished to know, mildly interested. Her gaze slid to Ligeia in the corner, eyes narrowing further. Another bird...

Orpheus looked down at the student when she made her appearance and then gave a smile, she reminded him a bit of Ter with the way her attitude was...
"We are going to try to figure out how to help you use a skill that is special for your DNA, Fear." He said, "You should be able to invoke it in others... somehow." He tapped a finger against his chin, thoughtful.
Maybe it tied in with her gaze like creatures that turned things to stone? Or maybe it was an aura she gave off? Time would tell he figured.

"They tried that once before. Nothing happened... but things like this are starting to tick me off. I just want my dragon. I just want to do my own thing. What right do you have to my living?" She drew up on him herself, her gaze narrowed, and dark. She wasn't the least bit happy.

Orpheus nodded, "I suppose I have no real right at all do I? I am just trying to help where I can more then anything." He told her, sizing her up, "You looked the age where you have at least of met your egg, what sort of dragon are you getting?"
He should try to get on better terms with his student before trying to teach? She didn't seem happy to be here which meant she wouldn't cooperate or try very hard if she didn't feel like it.

"Black." Altessa replied, snorting and turning away to regard the feathered creature in the corner. She moved slowly, taking her time before she approached him, staring blankly.

Orpheus bliinked when the girl was then just walking off, he tilted his head to the side before he followed. May as well keep track of her, make sure she didn't pick on Ligeia to much even if he were here for that reason.
The owl boy lifted his head from the book he was reading sensing the approach of the girl. He blinked a couple times then tilted his head to then side, "Hello." He greeted her, putting a book mark on the page then closed it.

Well, this one wasn't overly loud, or overbearing... she sat in front of him, slightly calm as she continued to stare coolly. "S'yer name?" She asked, slightly polite.
Was this even the same child??

The owl boy gave a smile, "My name is Ligeia." He introduced himself, wings giving a little flutter, "Whats your name?"
Orpheus tried to hide a laugh, Ligeia was a very nice guy. No doubt why he was always picked on by his brother... He lifted his clipboard up to take down a couple notes seeing he seemed to have been left with some free time due to his student being a bit uncooperative.

"Tell me what I remind you of." Altessa spoke softly, leaning forward just enough so that she was mere inches away, her eyes cold. She might as well get this overwith and leave as soon as possible... she put out a little of her ability, wanting Ligeia to feel, wanting him to fear...

"Remind me of...?" He asked, blinking as she got rather close and then met her gaze. She had so strange eyes, kinda cold and... he couldn't seem to break their locked gazes, "Umm..." He wondered what he was supposed to answer with, like her DNA? She kinda reminded him or a lizard or did she mean attitude in which she kinda reminded him of his younger brother...
He shifted a little bit in place, wings flapping behind him not sure why his heart was kinda tripping over itself.

She was a predator. Her hand raised as claws curled towards him, resting lightly over the other's chest as she slid them down, stopping at his stomach. Altessa then gave a lazy smile, breathing out as she relaxed, eyes widening. "... and now?" She was giving it out more, putting it out more intensely... just to see how far she could go.
In a way, it was fun.

Ligeia's eyes went a bit wide as her claw's threatened him, he gave a shiver of dislike then a soft sound, "A... ahh..." Were there predators that ate owls? He wasn't sure but being a bird that meant cats maybe? His wings gave another unhappy sort of flap before he lifted his gloved hands up to defend himself, not thinking as he tried to push the girl away from him before she could eat him...
Orpheus scratched down some notes then walked closer, "Ok you two, thats enough. Lets play nice now." He said, deciding that it seemed Altessa knew the workings of this skill so he should save his son from it.

"Does that mean I can go now?" Altessa asked as her face went stoic, turning towards Orpheus with a bland look. Her fear intensity seemed to dissipate, though it was still there, concealed but barely. She stood away from Ligeia with ease, arms crossing over her midsection as her eyes wandered around the room, lips pursed in slight thought. Often, she wondered just how much they were recording...

Orpheus gave a nod of his head, "If you like." He said, she had performed the skill as needed... at least he was pretty sure that she had. It was a little hard to tell as she may have just starred down Ligeia. He would ask the owl about it after the girl had gone to get more information before he sent home her grade and passing prize.
