This is my favorite singer, Ofra Haza:
Wasn't she beautiful? Very sadly, she died in 2000. crying
But her music is really pretty, and her voice is GORGEOUS. According to wikipedia:Wikipedia Her voice has been described as mezzo-soprano, of near-flawless tonal quality, capable of lending itself to a variety of musical styles with apparent ease. It is thought likely that Haza's voice had the most upper harmonic overtones of any singer in history, reaching as many as 32 on some songs, such as "Love Song" from the album Shaday (198 cool .

I've heard of her, actually.
You are not alone.
Baris Manco is a bit of the same category-- he's like John Lennon in Turkey, a singer with a beautiful voice and a vision of peace and love for the world, who has since passed away, but continues to be admired. No one here knows who he is.
Kollektiv Rote Rube is a... I actually have no idea what they are. They are German, and very theatrical, and completely insane, and addictive as hell. Mike is a timid insecure girl.

I've never heard of Ofra Haza. I'll have to look up some of her stuff on Limewire.
I tell my friends about a band called Waking Ashland. They've never heard of it before, sadly. :[ I really like them. I think they're new or something.
... where there is a danger of them coming true?

and despite her uber popularity in Japan, I don't know many people at all that've heard of Shiina Ringo. She's lovely <3

She's got awesome music, and she's gorgeous. She can hit some really high notes. My favorite by her is 'A Little Pain'.

There's this band called Miranda Sound. I love them, but they're not popular or anything. I don't think think many people have heard of them, and unless you live in my town, probably no one from Gaia have heard of them, either. I saw them at this little concert this summer. Most of the bands there were local. heart
