Just because The Beatles did drugs doesn't me you should too! George would not have wanted you to drugs. In the beginning George and John were spiked with LSD. George even said so! Please don't do them, the effects are so terrible...

No offense but.. Get over it.

You told us in the 60's guild and we appreciate your opinion but just because you have some examples of these hard core drug addicts doesn't mean that happens to everyone.

Most of our parents grew up through the 60's and 70's, some of them did drugs. I doubt every single one of our parents ended up in jail, horribly disfigured and in a jail cell.

I've had quite a bit of wine before (last week I shared a bottle with four Catholic priests that randomly showed up at my girlfriend's house for dinner, it was so funny) but nothing more. However, if I could get my hands on it at a good time, I would happily try marijuana.
Pot is a pretty harmless drug. True, smoking it can really harm your lungs, but it's a hell of a lot better for you than cigarettes or alcohol (less addictive, too.) However, oral consumption is much less riskier.

George wasn't advocating drugs, but he wasn't telling you not to do them, either. I don't think any of us have done drugs just because The Beatles did....they may have introduced some of us to them, but we all have personal reasons for doing drugs. Unless it's something hard, like heroin, crack, or meth. Then you're just a pisshead (yes, John, Paul, and George - you're all pissheads. We love you anyway.)

If you know what you're doing and you're not an idiot about it or doing something extremely harmful, then I think drugs are fine.

John and George were spiked with LSD by a dentist friend, and panicked. It was not a good situation and very dangerous to all of them - it's a wonder that they got home in one piece (even though Pattie wanted to smash windows or something). There are worse things than soft drugs out there, I assure you.

Im not going to agree or disagree with your beliefs, but here is an exert from a report i did for Legal Studies noting some of the dangers of drugs like marijuana, and yes, there are a lot more dangerous things than this drug. Still do as you wish but just note that there are potential risks (as with all drugs). I want you to be safe. i am most sorry if you feel like im nagging or the like..

"Since the 1960s marijuana has become ten to fifteen times more potent, potentially becoming more harmful today than in previous generations. Smoking one joint reduces reaction time for motor skills, such as driving by 41% and by 63% after smoking two. People high on the drug reveal the same lack of coordination as people who have had too much to drink, ensuing the same risks for pedestrians and fellow drivers. And people who smoke between one to three joints per day are risking the same lung damage and potential cancer risk as if they were smoking five times as many cigarettes. (www.drug-statistics.com)"

I am not saying "dont do it" just be aware and be safe. And sorry again if i sound nagging heart

That's why I think it's kinda stupid when smoking marijuana. Smoking is bad in itself....it's not supposed to GO in your lungs. Which is why if I ever do pot it'll be in the form of brownies....BROWNIES! Come on. What's not to love about brownies?!
True, the trip is stronger and lasts longer, but you shouldn't be doing any sort of drug unless you're prepared for it. 'Trip responsibly', people!

I've never felt a need or want to do drugs...so I just don't. If other people do, that's their decision. I'm assuming most of us in here are school-age. We've had drug education in school and we know what can happen if you take them. Worse case scenarios and all that. After that, it's just up to you if you do them or not. *shrugs*

Yea. My dad did drugs and was an alcholic. Usually when you do drugs, you brain cells die, and you change. Well, now my dad has a high temper. Plus he has coughing fits. And when ever he get's sick, HE GET'S SICK. he's actually sick nemonia right now, and he has sinus infections, ear infections, and lung infections. It's very serious. And...well...he could die. crying
